Huge let down in quality and service

Feeling extremely let down over both the quality and customer service I’ve received. After purchasing a coat, washing it exactly as the wash label instructed and discovering what Poor cheap quality it was, I contacted customer services to ask how to return.
From the moment I was in contact I got the impression they were doing everything possible to try to refuse a refund and turn the fault on to myself. After sending numerous photographs and proof of purchase explaining how I washed and dried the coat, it took them three weeks to come back with an email saying there where stains on the coat and for that reason would bit refund. I replied asking what stains as there is not any on it- the picture they are staying stains is the images I sent showing the poor quality filling had clumped up in balls inside the coat not in fact stains. I emailed this back to them which I have received an email saying that they made their final descion and will not return as the fault lies with me!!!! I’m am appalled at the poor quality of what’s supposed to be an expensive brand but even more appalled at the customer service I have received implying I do not know how to wash items of clothing or follow wash label instructions, I have had many other brands of clothing with similar wash instructions some cheaper and some more expensive. Not once in the past 30 years I have been doing washing have I ever had an item of clothings quality be so poor that it looks that bad like it’s from a charity shop in the 1970s. I only wished I’d have read all the other poor reviewes about bad quality and customer service before I purchased. I will NEVER use this brand again, with the current economic climate I would think customers spending their hard earned money was valued, obviously not

Evitate il web shop - Reso rallentato con ogni espediente

Ottima esperienza negli store fisici, pessima esperienza con il webshop; articoli nella realtà molto diversi dalle immagini con finiture letteralmente non visualizzabili a schermo anche al massimo ingrandimento, ma soprattutto la peggior procedura di reso mai vissuta con un negozio online: il reso è rallentato con espedienti di ogni tipo, appuntamenti fissati con corrieri che non passano, etichette di reso inviate solo dopo richieste ripetute, arrivo del reso in magazzino non registrato e non comunicato (appurabile solo grazie al tracking del corriere), infine il capolavoro: quando ho chiesto i tempi di rimborso per il reso già consegnato al loro magazzino, il customer care ha risposto proponendo l'ennesima data di ritiro del collo (si, lo stesso che era già arrivato da loro).

Very disappointing experience overall

First, the price to quality ratio is highly questionable. I ordered several knitwear pieces expecting substantial, premium garments given the brand positioning and fabric descriptions. In reality, the items were extremely thin and felt underwhelming. “Good materials” on paper do not compensate for the lack of structure, weight, and overall quality. They simply do not justify the price point.

Second, delivery was unacceptably slow. I waited over two weeks for the parcel, which is excessive for an online retail order, especially from a supposedly premium brand.

Finally, customer service was inefficient and frustrating. Initiating a simple return label took more than an hour on live chat, with the agent replying only every 15–20 minutes to basic messages. This level of correspondence is not acceptable and shows poor operational standards.

Overall, the experience does not match the brand’s premium image. I would not order again.

Acquistata una gonna di velluto nera e dei maglioni. La qualità non è assolutamente all'altezza del prezzo pagato. La gonna si è stracciata dopo qualche utilizzo e senza nemmeno averla lavata e i maglioni hanno un mucchio di pallini già dopo un anno e non credo proprio sia normale utilizzo.... cercherò altro sicuramente

Unhelpful and lying customer service…

Unhelpful and lying customer service agents - they tell you that the refund will be processed soon, but you will be waiting WEEKS AND WEEKS, and no refund will be in sight! You can keep trying to contact them via email or via phone and do it multiple times, but NO CHANNEL OF CONTACT HELPS AND THEY ARE NOT RESOLVING ANYTHING; THEY WILL JUST TRY TO KEEP YOUR MONEY. This is my experience!

As of today, I have been waiting for a refund of the returned order for over a month!

The absolute worst experience I have ever had with a refund, and this is supposed to be a "premium" brand!

Never buying anything from this company again!

I had a very disappointing shopping…


I had a very disappointing shopping experience at Weekend Max Mara
Chadstone Melbourne Australia. I purchased a pair of boots, and before
payment the sales associate dropped them from the tall counter onto the
floor. She assured me that it should be ok. I trusted her so did not check
the boots as it was close to closing time. When I returned home, I
discovered that there was a large scratch on the boot and dents on the
sole. When I returned to the store the next day, the sales assistant agreed
that the boots were faulty and asked me to wait for the manager. As there
was no other stock of the boots I purchased, I requested a refund. The
manager Lan said that they were unable to offer a refund or credit note due
to their returns policy. I asked them to review CCTV footage of the drop
but they did not. The manager advised that I needed to contact customer
service. However, when I contacted customer service, they frustratingly
said that they are not able to help as they only look after online orders
and not in-store purchases. When I reached out to the store again, I was
informed that their upper management advised that they are unable to offer
any additional solutions. According to Australian Consumer Law, I am
entitled to a brand new, unused product and a refund if I was given a
faulty item and am disappointed that Weekend Max Mara will not honour this.

Brand molto valido

Ormai sono più di 10 anni che acquisto i capi di questo brand, che si contraddistingue per uno stile inconfondibile unito ad un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Apprezzabile la selezione dei materiali, con una netta predisposizione per fibre naturali quali lana, seta e cotone. Il ricorso al poliestere è fortunatamente limitata a quei pochi capi che richiedono l’impiego di questa fibra sintetica per motivi stilistici e/o tecnici.
Personalmente acquisto quasi sempre presso la boutique presente all’interno del centro commerciale di Orio al Serio dove ho sempre il piacere di essere accolta da personale attento e preparato in grado di consigliarmi al meglio.

Questionable and unacceptable business…

Questionable and unacceptable business practice by Max Mara.

Placed an order for two items an hour right after the Boxing Day sale, receieved emails 4 days later to say that the orders have been cancelled due to the items not meeting the quality controls.

This is completely unacceptable because quality controls should be in place prior to putting the item available on the website and not just before you send it to the customer. It is so unfair to the customer and it’s such questionable business practice.

Never experienced it at any other brands before and I have no interest to purchase anything from Max Mara again.

Cuciture cedevoli

Ho acquistato il 29 settembre un paio di calzoni dalla forme molto morbide, con la gamba molto larga. Dopo meno di quattro mesi di uso occasionale e nessun lavaggio, le cuciture esterne della gamba destra hanno cominciato ad aprirsi in vari punti, con ogni giorno scuciture sempre più lunghe. Visto l'abbondanza della gamba, non stanno certo cedendo perchè sotto tensione. Se questa è la qualità Max Mara nel 2025 per un paio di calzoni da 199 euro, è davvero deludente.

I have recorded a few reviews but still no money back.

I have recorded a few reviews. Both times I have got a standard response which they said they would email. They didn’t. I did not get an email in response to the review. Do not deal with this company. They are awful. I am waiting 9 weeks on getting my money back and all I get is excuses. Do not use them . Denise

Couldn't be happier!

The team went out of their way to deliver excellent service and made sure my parcel arrived in time for my holiday.
Of course the quality of my purchase was excellent, that goes without saying, but their customer service team are exceptional!
Thank you again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Esperienza pessima

Sono stata settima scorsa nella filiale di Palermo, le commesse erano occupate e una di loro mi ha detto di attendere la prima che si liberasse. Ho atteso piu' di mezz'ora...dopo di me arrivano altre due clienti (sicuramente facoltose) dato che tutte le hanno salutate e quasi quasi si inginocchiavano alla loro presenza...senza parole! Nel giro di qualche minuto arriva un aperitivo per le due signore ( a me non hanno chiesto neanche se gradito un po' d'acqua) .Subito una delle commesse si libera e corre da loro per servirle. Mi avvicino con garbo e dico che io ero prima e che aspettavo da piu' di mezz'ora.La commessa mi dice di avere appuntamento con le signore con un tono quasi quasi di arragonza e continua come se niente fosse...Capisco li che la capacità di spesa ha preso il sopravvento.. Io sono cliente da anni è sinceramente questi tipi di atteggiamenti poco professionali e di prostrazione verso clienti piu' redditizi li trovo poco educati. Ovviamente sono andata via e non entrerò piu' in questo negozio e vorreidire alle commesse che il cliente migliore non è necessariamente chi compra di piu' ma è quello che crea valore nel tempo.

£250 shorts ruined after 2 washes

£250 shorts. They looks nice at first but two washes later (30 degree C), and the thing is ruined. Hems were thermo-glued hems, and the fabric lost its colour. What makes me upset is the stylist in the shop who kept praising the high quality of this product and the fact it will stay like brand new for years

OTTIMO SERVIZIO CLIENTI

Ho comprato on line un vestito che poi ho scoperto che non mi stava bene. Contattato il servizio clienti, operatore gentilissimo di cui mi dispiace non ricordare il nome. Gli ho chiesto se potevo restituire il prodotto in uno dei loro negozi di Milano e così ho fatto. Gentilissima anche la commessa di Corso Vittorio Emanuele, che mi ha fatto immediatamente il reso. Sono rimasta colpita dalla professionalità di questa azienda, da cui senz'altro comprerò in futuro.

Anyone had issues with shrinkage of linen blouses

Has anyone had any experience with linen blouses shrinking after handwashing? I purchased a white linen blouse for my hols - loved it so much that I purchased a second one in blue when I got home. Washed the original one, exactly as per instructions, but when I hung the blue one next to it in the wardrobe, I noticed there was a huge difference in the sleeve length. I put both blouses side by side, and there was clearly a 20% reduction in the one that had been washed. To be fair to Weekend, they allowed me to return the second blue one, as I had not worn it or taken the tags off, however, I am so disappointed that I have only been able to wear the original white one once - now unwearable as it does not fit. I also purchased another white linen blouse, which I am now scared to wear and wash in case the same thing happens. Weekend would not refund the cost of the original white blouse, as they say they have not had any other issues reported.

Esperienza pessima, non acquisterò mai più un loro capo

Robe déposée dans le magasin MaxMara… Retouches défectueuses

Robe déposée dans le magasin MaxMara WeekEnd rue de Rennes (Paris) en août 2024 afin de raccourcir l'ourlet.
Trois déplacements pour trois reprises et constatation à chaque fois que l'ourlet n'était ni fait ni à faire. Il m'a même été allégué que le service de retouche ne disposait pas de la bonne machine pour travailler sur du jersey !
Il a fallu faire intervenir la protection juriduque pour obtenir le remboursement de la robe et de la retouche (mai 2025).
Le service "customer" en lignene m'a proposé qu'une réduction de 15% sur un prochain achat pour résoudre ce litige.
C'est très décevant.

Pessima qualità e servizio clienti…

Pessima qualità e servizio clienti penoso!
Ho acquistato un jeans della nuova collezione, messo giusto una volta, provato a smacchiare con un semplicissimo smacchiatore ha perso completamente il colore sulla parte da trattare. Portato al negozio dove l’ho acquistato per mostrare la pessima resa del prodotto acquistato, l’azienda non ha neanche voluto esaminare il capo per valutare la possibilità di un reso. Fate schifo veramente.
