WellSaid Labs offers some of the most realistic voices for professional work. However, the platform feels very limited and the pricing is high compared to others. It’s a great tool if you have a large budget, but the lack of flexibility and high cost make it hard to recommend for smaller projects.

Says free, you login generate, and suprise payment pops out ..

Good luck if you need support. They will take your money but even at a professional level…it’s bad support.

Plus the AI is fairly monotone unless you spend hours tweaking every word to attempt to form inflection. Way faster and better to use a human still.

Stay away from them if you are on YouTube or need them for any serious work.
They change plans and move popular voices to more expensive tiers.
Even simple slang words can get your account banned.
They are not trustworthy.

Been a Paying Customer for at least 2 years more or less

I already paid for the Subscription $99 1 day ago but because they had change into a new policy.
My Subscription Automatically got cancelled.

I contacted Support but they did not respond so my $99 is out.

I will delete this Review after they fixed the billing Issue.

We cancelled our subscription 2 months before renewal, but somehow it “didn’t go through.” So we got charged a $550 renewal even though we haven’t used the service in months. Contacted customer support and they weren’t willing to do anything. Avoid these guys — they’re just trying to get your credit card info to keep charging you. Use Eleven Labs instead.

So the service is nice, but their operations is just terrible.

Blocking: Their site tends to block me frequently and their support representatives accused me of sharing my account. I'm a sole contractor, so no I'm not sharing my account.

Refunds: So when trying to initiate the service, the site gave me an error and then blocked the account. So I figured it didn't work out and my client opened the account fo rme instead.

I get a random email asking how I'm doing. I responded to it with support and they said the account is active, but regardless of me not using it, they will not issue a refund per their terms of agreement. How am I supposed to know if the account is getting charged or able to cancel if blocked?

They wanted me to contact and re-explain everything to their webmaster. What kind of support is that? A representative may have accused me of sharing the account, but they need to give an alternative at least if they're in error.

So far my experience with them is really a bad one, and I'll be filing dispute charges as this "no refund" policy is just outrageous.

Terrible service. They just charged mt credit card after two months for no reason. Stay away!

I'm not happy with the customer support at WellSaid Labs. I'm on a $99 monthly plan, and every weekend, they blocked my account, making me wait two days to find out what happened. After that, they cleared my account but kept pushing me to upgrade to a $199 plan, which I didn't want.

The support team was not friendly. They spoke to me as if they were doing me a favor for my $99 subscription, being rude and too confident. In short, I wouldn't recommend their service

1. ACX (audible for example) doesn't support AI narration , Google pay seem to have their own AI narration. Basically, avoid if your use case is creating audiobook and publishing on major platforms
2. Not a great quality AI narration
3. Poor customer service
4. Pretty expensive
5. No refunds

Too much risk, little or no reward.

I have been working with Wellsaid Labs for years. They decided to implement a "security" feature that only allows you to log in once a day and only from one IP address. I travel extensively, so I could log in with 5 or 6 different IP addresses in one day. I have been working with Wellsaid for over a month now to get this issue resolved. I was told they would not block my account for the month of May while they "looked" at their process. I have been blocked 5 times this month so far. When I request a reset, it takes 24 hours for a response. The sales rep only replies to you once a day. So if I send an email today, I will hear back from her tomorrow. If I respond to that, it will be the next day before I hear back. Terrible customer service. There are better products out there that are much cheaper.

Very bad website. First the prices are too high and the AI avatars are completely third class. Didn't pronounce many words like ( A, I, Q, W, H, Y etc ). When I contacted to his customer support they say that their AI avatar are trained by Real humans. Now tell me Which human Pronounce wrong these simple words? And many of their voice avatars are leave a bad sound of breath in audio.

This is so bad! It tells you that you get 4 avatars when you purchase the maker package 49$ (Ava, Wade, Alana, and Tristan) this not really clear you have to read the fine print the rest of the avatars are locked. There is 0 refund policy basically i just throw away 49 bucks. Don't do the same mistake as i made.

It looks like i have the same problem as everyone else leaving a 1 star review, i reached out to support and they simply said NO, i wanted a British spoken person however that isn't available in the paid plan i selected, it doesn't state that before you purchase.

Im changing my review here as i promised. wellsaidlabs.com first gave me only 4 standard voices when i purchased. then i requested them to provide me with extra voice avatars other than the standard 4 voices i recieved. fitst they refused. then after 2 weeks considering others reivew here who had the same issue. they provided me with extra avatars as requested. thank you so much everyone left their review here and thank you wellsaidlabs for your AWESOME voice avatars. as i mentioned in my previous reivew their voice quality is amazing! PLEASE PURCHASE WITH CONFIDENT! they provided me with 20 extra voices. and i hope this will continue to be same.

The trial was nice we had the option to select our avatars. But after the purchase we are limited to 4 avatars we dont even get to choose. HIGHLY dissapointed. my choice of project is more on soft spoken narration and females only. but unfortunate i have no option. But the Quality of the text to speech is great, very satisfying. I will change my review if i am given a option to select my 4 avatars ASAP.

Mistakes happen, we are all human--even AI voices :)

I had a billing issue due to a system glitch. When I contacted support through chat, they made things right and issued prompt refunds. (Thanks, Jenn!)

I trust Wellsaidlabs. Their AI voices are the best in the industry. Given them a try. Good company!

I paid for WellSaid thinking I could choose my 4 voices. Nope! And two of them are not good. Two hours in I asked for a refund because it was unusable at that point and was told to (bleep) off. Then I found Synthesys and couldn't be happier. Cheaper plus dozens of voices. Better voices. And a 3-day money-back guarantee! Hands down the best deal I've found.

Don't sign up with this company. For $49 you only get access to 4 terrible voices, and they don't tell you which ones before signing up, No refund policy.

I've bought their most expensive 200$ package, and my account got deleted and banned the next day, when I used the word "pussy willow" in one of my voiceovers, which is a slang for a type of tree/bush....

They refused to reply to my emails or provide any customers support, and kept the money I paid for subscription.

Don't use these guys, because they're a fraud
