Great service, very prompt delivery

From the moment we walked through the door the staff made us feel very welcome. Fabulous shop, it’s huge and such a variety of bikes. There’s something for everyone.
We bought a Brompton folding bicycle at a very competitive price. My husband had a test ride round the car park. We were not rushed in making a decision. The lovely young man explained all about the Brompton and made sure my husband knew how to fold and unfold it.
We were amazed at the size of the shop, think B and Q size with both bikes and accessories ie clothing and bike parts.
Buying online is ok but buying in person makes it feel far more special and you get to see all sorts of bikes to choose from.
Parking is charged but if you pop into Wilf’s cafe while you are there for coffee or food, they reimburse you £3 towards parking. There’s also a nice riverside walk from the site.

This review relates to the workshop only, sales is fine.

We took a bike in for some work to be carried out, this was done promptly. When picked up the mechanic was very dismissive of our concerns and patronising in his manner. When asked for guidance he insinuated that the problem was us and not the bike.

We have been cyclist for many years, the problem was definitely the bike, but he wouldn't listen.

Have been put off returning after being a customer for many years.

What pleasure to have a company that really looks after you both when ordering and after, communication was superb,excellent service nothing was to much trouble

Great company to buy from, had some issues mainly with the courier company and they sorted out as quickly as possible. They done everything they could to make sure I was a happy customer. I would recommend.

I purchased a pair of expensive bib tights from them which developed a problem, the team at Wheelbase helped me resolve the issue with the manufacturer. Great customer service.

I’d also like to say that I’ve never seen a bike so carefully packaged for delivery.
Carefully and expertly protected in foam and pipe insulation and boxed to arrive with me completely unscathed.
