I went In the morning and was presented with a smile this has never happened before, Sonila at barking branch was so so friendly and all the team in barking have always been extremely helpful. With one or two exceptions. It’s a pleasure to bring my business there

I came to the store so frustrated with all the mistakes my builder caused for me but Theresah and Tochie(her manager) gave me peace of mind. I was able to leave with every situation resolved. Thanks to them. Great customer service, professionally executed.

Didn’t shop here but went into store in the morning distressed with car breaking down and being in a dangerous situation nearby and just managed to park in car park bay. Went in store to request additional time in car park and a team member Sonia came over and checked I was ok. Truly thankful for such kindness.

Ben the designer came home to measure the kitchen and booked an in-store visit.
At the appointment he showed me several kitchen designs made and I made a choice.

I recently visited Wickes to buy building materials and had the pleasure of being assisted by Lesley Martin. She was incredibly helpful from start to finish. Lesley took her time to make sure I fully understood what I was buying and explained the different options available to me in a clear and patient way.
She walked me through various products I could use and made sure I felt confident in my choices. Her knowledge, professionalism, and friendly attitude really stood out. The level of customer service she provided was amazing.

I went to get few DIY stuff and was confused as to which ones will better serve my purpose.
The sales girl (Theresa was her name) took her time to take me through the different options available and helped me made an informed decision. Her knowledge of the products was exceptional and laudable

I visited Wickes on many different occasions and I must say Matthew Harrison has been engaging and friendly beyond expectation. His approach to me has been extremely kind and patient despite my numerous visits. He dealt with all challenges very well and kept reassuring on delivery times and all. He has provided invaluable help throughout my house renovation. He does his job extremely well by going above and beyond for customers like myself. I would definitely recommend coming to this branch.

Leslie Martin was also very nice and welcoming. She assisted me with placing orders and dealing with challenges at hand. It wasn’t a one time encounter but rather this is based on numerous visits.

Sonia was Amazingly helpful! Waited 40 min for someone in kitchen department, but they didn’t start till 10.30 wait past the time, yet was late! Such a big store but no one to help! Sonia left the till and was so helpful, attentive and a friendly smile ! If it wasn’t for Sonia we wouldn’t have made our purchases!

I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent kitchen design appointments at your Barking branch.

During my first visit, I was informed that Ben, the designer I had an appointment with, was unavailable due to a family emergency. While I completely understand the situation, it would have been helpful to be notified in advance so that I didn’t make a wasted trip.

On my second visit, I had a detailed two-hour consultation with Ben. The discussion went well, and he assured me that he would send over a quote and a 3D design of my kitchen for review. Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up communication or the promised materials. I also do not have his direct email to contact him, which has made it difficult to follow up.

Additionally, I received a parking fine after that visit, as my stay slightly exceeded two hours. I was unaware that I needed to register my vehicle since I was there for a scheduled customer appointment. Although my appeal for the fine was successful, the overall experience has been disappointing.

I value Wickes as a brand, but I believe better communication and customer follow-up would make a big difference. I hope you can look into this and ensure that customers’ time and efforts are respected in future appointments.

I had a bathroom installed in April 2024. It went over budget and details of the installation was not budgeted for in the quote. There was an issue a year later which was remedied. However the electrics have been installed in a dangerous place which the engineer pointed out. The grouting has fractured and despite this being raised in May 2025, no one has been out to remedy. Shocking experience.
