Our agent was very helpful from the start at the bathroom planning stage to the very end. We changed our minds on certain items several times but he was very accommodating and came up with good ideas.
I have recommended him to a friend.

Approximately one month ago I visited Wickes Daybrook and noted Senetti garden plants priced at £7 per pot. I raised at the till that B&M and Home Bargains, located within yards of the store, were selling the identical plants for £3.50. I asked staff to pass this to head office for a price review. No action was taken and no communication was received.
Second Visit — 22 April 2026
I returned today to find the same plants on a trolley at the front of the store in a severely deteriorated, largely dead condition. A store assistant confirmed the price remained £7 but said some were reduced. I checked the entire trolley; there were no reduced labels on any plant. Staff confirmed there were none — only the full £7 price applied.
Inconsistent Pricing
A customer ahead of me took 2 plants from the same trolley and was charged £1 each. I then took 4 plants from the same trolley and was told the price was £7 each. I queried this directly. The assistant upheld the full price without explanation. Manager Beth was called. Rather than addressing the inconsistency, Beth pointed at random plants and directed me to shop at B&M. This was dismissive and deeply embarrassing, made publicly at the front of the store.
Relevant Legislation
Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 — Regulation 5 prohibits misleading actions. Verbally representing that reduced prices existed when no discounted labels were present constitutes a false statement of price likely to cause the average consumer to make a different transactional decision. Regulation 6 further covers misleading omissions where material pricing information is withheld.
Price Marking Order 2004 — Retailers are required to display the selling price of products clearly and unambiguously. Indicating that reduced prices applied without any corresponding price labels on the items in question is non-compliant with this obligation.
Consumer Rights Act 2015 — Section 62 requires that contract terms and trading practices are fair. Applying materially different prices to 2 customers selecting identical items from the same display within moments of each other, without a lawful or transparent basis, is an unfair commercial practice.

Everything went so smoothly, I was dreading getting a new kitchen and getting everything right but with his help it went perfectly. I love my new kitchen and it's good value for money.

They listened to what I needed and ensured everything was covered with detail and ensured it would work for me. The delivery slots were easy to pick and had updates all along the way including the day right down to the last 15mins. Delivery was quick, efficient and respect was taken for my property. Would use again for future projects.

It was very busy and the items we wanted , although in stock were not on the shop floor. Tracey was brilliant checked with the warehouse, took payment and arranged for them to be brought out. Joe, Marc and Ryan helped load up. We had to gone back twice more to collect everything we needed. Tracey served us each time. They were all really helpful, efficient and a credit to Wickes.

Jake came around to quote for solar panels on my mums bungalow. Really impressive, not at all pushy and quoted a really good price.

I needed some information about a product that was purchased a year ago the manger Michelle gave me all the information that I needed and other information about some flooring products she did not rush me although I could see she was very busy. I thought it was excellent service.

Ordered some paint for click and collect, order was received promptly.

When I went to pick up it was very easy and quick especially when purchasing some other bits. Order was picked by Joe and I was served by Tracey who was really friendly.

Having had no experience in designing or buying a brand new kitchen the situation was daunting for us knowing where to start but Stuart made the process a breeze! From the initial consultation he listened to what we wanted and helped to create a design that we are over the moon with. His design knowledge and knowledge in the products was spot on, he allowed time for us to think about things, he sent emails to us when he said he would- he is 5***** all round. There was absolutely no pressure from Stuart which I found reassuring. Even after the kitchen had been delivered and fitted (we didn't use Wickes for fitting) he helped us to sort out returning and ordering a few amendments. I will definitely be recommending Stuart to anyone wanting a new kitchen from now on!

A new kitchen from Wickes
The design needed was for a user friendly kitchen for a 85 year old lady. Everything to hand, easy to live with and minimum high level storage. Sarmed took his time to listen to my mums needs and after a home visit to measure the area, he created the design to fit in the kitchen area. In store Sarmed went through many variables of units worktops sinks taps Everything that goes into creating the final product. This was done with humour in a relaxed manor, with parts being chosen, then unchosen then rechosen. Patience is obviously non negotiable in your role Sarmed.
We chose to have the whole process installed in house and Craig and his team did this in what can only be described as totally professional. All of the trades people the plasterers electrician, everyone involved were great. The standard of finish is fantastic. They all treated my mum and her home with the greatest of respect ensuring there was as little disruption possible and always left the area clean and tidy at the end of the day. All the while keeping her well topped up with hot drinks.
Was there any snags, only a couple.
1 panel that went above the oven was found to be damaged when unpacked, this was immediately reordered by Craig to be changed. This had to be done 3 more times before a undamaged panel arrived, which was fitted by Craig within 24 hours.
Then a change to the original flooring chosen due to it becoming a end of line item. The new flooring was of a better quality than the original and a price was agreed between what the cost of the original was and the higher cost of the new floor. The way this was organised did take nearly six weeks to complete the transaction financially but this was the only negative bit of the whole process.
So to recap
Would I use Wickes again ? Yes
Would I reccomend Sarmed, Yes Genuine nice guy easy going, professional caring and listens to you fully before reccomending his ideas.
Would I reccomend using Wickes installers, Yes all day every day Specifically ask for Craig and his team, you will not be disappointed.
So with minimum hiccups in the whole process I submit my 5 stars.
