We came to Wickes as we were looking for a new kitchen which we wanted to have supplied and fitted. Wickes helped us realise the vision we had through the design process and Dave was really helpful throughout particilarly when we required some changes to the design.
We were well informed about the dates of when things were happening and everything went to plan and finished as expected.

Excellent customer service from Craig at the Stockton on tees branch. Craig was very helpful, polite, patience & he went the extra mile to help me. I purchased a full flat pack. Kitchen today.

Was very happy with the service and the kitchen quality is exceptional. 2 nd time getting a kitchen from wicks very happy. David was very helpful and liased with my kitchen fitter no problem sbout design and amendments. No issues returning what was not used

From our first visit to Wickes we were impressed by the professionalism and dedication of your staff especially Zoe who made us feel comfortable with her knowledge of the product and worked with our budget to get us the best quality kitchen that we were looking for. We never felt pressured from Zoe which we were very happy with. We are now looking forward to our new kitchen thanks to Zoe.

I visited your store in stockton on tees today .I can honestly say I will never set foot in there again.The staff which I did manage to find was sprawled on a desk trying to avoid eye contact .I approched her asking for advice on a kitchen to be told I cant just walk in I would need an appointment ( there was not a person in the store ) she never asked if I would like to make an appointment no customer service at all . I asked if there was a brochure I could take to look to be told no look on line !!!!Absolutely disgusted.

Very professional and helpful service received from David Staines Design Consultant at Wickes Stockton-on-Tees.
David’s design looked great on screen but absolutely fantastic in reality. Very happy customer. Our Kitchen fitter Rob Price contractor through Wickes was brilliant, very helpful and gave great advice throughout fitting.

Went to get a strip light and shower mixer and Paul Davison was very helpful as I didn't really know what I needed as my husband is now severely partially sighted, Paul made the experience quick and painless

Dave at Stockton store was fantastic, we didn’t have a clue how to design the kitchen, he done everything better than we expected

Ryan Fawcett(Wickes Design Engineer) visited us on Wednesday 4th Feb, he was very polite-professional & extremely knowledgable, we are now booked in to see the designed /finished kitchen next week, looking forward to it, thank you Ryan 👍🏻

Avoid if possible. From start to finish the service has been terrible. The kitchen itself is actually ok, but both the service from the store and fitting have been a complete nightmare. If you do go ahead with buying a kitchen- get your own kitchen fitter.

What an absolute shambles Wickes is; incompetent staff, poor organisation, non-existent communication and down right idiocy across the entire business.

TL:DR - DO NOT USE WICKES FOR ANYTHING!

We organised with Wickes to install a new en-suite. A bathroom designer came out and provided an illustration with the plan. We were advised that a fitter would be allocated and then a date sorted, along with a pre-installation survey.

A few weeks later, a fitter came out and advised the design wouldn’t work; that we would need to go back to the designer for it to be redone. We went back to the designer who said the fitter was wrong, but would discuss directly with them. A week or so later, we find out that the fitter had actually been sacked by Wickes and we were told to ignore him.

We were then told to wait for a new fitter to be allocated. Several weeks passed, no information. Cue more chasing from me - a new fitter was found, but couldn’t fit the bathroom for several months (well after our original planned fitting date), but the fitter said “the manager told us that would be fine”, without any consideration or consultation with us.

We disagreed and asked for someone else to fit the bathroom. In comes SLP Ltd Services Ltd (their name on companies house). We were told they could install in October and planned for this, but a survey would be needed. 2nd house survey comes, lo and behold the design still doesn’t work - the sink unit planned wouldn’t fit due to a slope for the stairs. Numerous to and fro followed to get this amended. During the survey, we were advised the planned date was impossible as their tiler had been prosecuted by the police for driving without business insurance, so would have to be done week commencing 17th November (today when I write this review).

SLP were due to come following the initial survey to provide an updated estimate/invoice but we never received this. I was advised there was ‘miscommunication’ and that they didn’t think they needed to come out. I explained how frustrating this was, to wait in 2 times and for no one to come. At this point, we should’ve cancelled our order but we soldiered on.

We decided to continue and advised both Wickes and the fitters to continue and that we needed an updated estimate/invoice to factor in the additional work (never received this despite chasing it). Numerous messages to the fitters were ignored.

The fitters confirmed the installation date, releasing the shipments for the actual bathroom (shower, tray, taps etc) which arrived as planned.

Fitting day arrives and, shock, no one turns up. I ring the fitter who said “has no one from Wickes rang you” then rushed to end the call saying he would call me back (still waiting on that call back). Rang Wickes store who just told me to ring the Customer Service Experience centre in a really dismissive and unhelpful
Way. After waiting on hold, I spoke to an agent who said that the company decided to change our installation date for another 2 months away, mid January, without any consultation and without calling us. No phone call from Wickes, SLP or anyone involved.

So, here we are. A full bathroom suite waiting to be installed after the worst customer experience I’ve had the misfortune of dealing with.

The equipment will be going back and I’ll be expecting a full refund for our deposit.

Reader - DO NOT BUY FROM WICKES. STAY CLEAR FROM THEM

Cannot fault wickes especially Zoe who helped design the bathroom, the finished product was exactly what she had designed. One or two minor issues with a delivery that was quickly addressed through a phone call. On the downside which has nothing to do with wickes in stockton, the company who installed the bathroom have done a really good job however waited over a week for the electrician to return to install the extractor fan, which still is not working correctly, and there are still some leaks under the sink which despite every effort wont stop. So until the work is signed off i cannot pay the installer who cannot notify wickes of the completion who cannot then arrange for the skip outside my house to be removed, so currently going round in circles having to contact the installer. Wickes themselves however, no complaints at all about them,

3 months after fitting our wetroom the grout went black we couldn't clean it and it washed away. We were told we had 2 options it could be re grouted with the same grout for free of we could pay for an epoxy grout that they'd try. We'd just spent £12,000 on it so why should we pay for anything it needed to be sorted by them. It's still ongoing with them not getting back to us and after seeing photos that are obviously grout that's not right and a moving floor that they're ignoring. We're pensioners and we've spent a lot of money on this wetroom so our next move is to trading standards and watchdog . Please avoid this place .

We had a fantastic experience during our kitchen design appointment with Robert! From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome and really took the time to understand what we were looking for.
Robert was incredibly helpful, walking us through every detail with patience and expertise. He offered great suggestions that matched our style, needs, and budget — including a few ideas we hadn’t even thought of. It truly felt like a collaborative process, and his knowledge and eye for design made the entire appointment enjoyable and stress-free.
We left feeling confident, inspired, and even more excited about our new kitchen. If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares and knows how to bring a vision to life, we highly recommend working with Robert!

First I saw tv add about a fitted kitchen costing less than £3000 so phoned Wicks in Stockton and made appointment, a Design Consultant he was Mr David Staines. He came to my flat and he just couldn't be any nicer or kinder to me than he was, he explained everything to me as I didn't have a clue and thanks to him I have a gorgeous kitchen for £2500. I would recommend Wicks to everyone my friends and family. All the staff in Stockton branch that I delt with just couldn't be nicer it was a very happy experience getting a new kitchen with Wicks.

Had already used Wickes for our kitchen, and had confidence in using them again for our bathroom. Zoe Airey Collier provided a great design service, with good advice and attention to detail. We had a couple of things to be sorted during installation, which were done efficiently. Fitter John did a superb job, including some unplanned remedial work, and we were impressed with his attention to detail and high standards. Would recommend!
