SCAM company
The back of my phone cracked as well as the touch screen making the phone near impossible to use. As a result of the internally cracked touch screen, a white line appeared on the right side of the phone and the touch would only work when it wanted to. I filed a claim for it on July 24th, had to go to a shop and get an estimate, then sent it in. My claim was approved and I was told I would receive an email from Chase the on or before the following Friday, which I already thought was ridiculous, as this is a phone we're talking about which is used daily. Next Friday came and I still did not receive an email. Monday came, no email. I called Worth Ave's customer service and they said there's nothing they can do as the payment email comes from Chase and they have no way of checking if it was sent or not. Terrible system to use Chase as a scapegoat and not accept any form of liability on their part. I even called Chase and they did not have any record of an email mentioned with the claim. Called the next day because I STILL did not receive an email and they told me it's possible (which they claim to not even confirm since they can't check anything about payments after they approve it on their end) a paper check was sent out and it could take up to 15 business days for the check to be received. So you're telling someone they have to wait for basically a month to get their phone fixed! Absolutely ridiculous. I am highly skeptical I am even receiving any form of payment at this point and warn others to not go with this insurance company. The customer service and whole payment system is some of the worst I have encountered.

Ivoree, we are sorry to hear about your claim payment issue. We have confirmed that the original email from Chase to option an electronic payment was started but not completed. As this was not, a paper check was in process but as it was only in process, we have reoptioned the electronic for you. By now you should have already received a direct email about this from us and will receive and additional electronic payment email from Chase to option the electronic payment option. Please complete this with-in 5 days of receipt or the payment will default to a mail check again. If you have any additional question or need additional assistance, the email from us direct does have a direct email on phone number you may call for assistance.

My policy was canceled for some reason but I cant tell why, and the AI assistant and chat support service is of very little help. PLease go back to using real people.

Roger, we do not, nor have we ever used IA or Bots for chats, calls, or communications. As advised by the last live agent you chatted with, your renewal payment was missed. When this happens, communication is sent via email about that. As that last chat was not completed, we can advise now that there is still time to contact us over the phone to ensure no lapse in coverage if that is what you are needing.

Not real transparent about what's covered until you read the declarations. No hardware failures covered, which is probably 50% of the reason to have insurance. I've never lost or broke a phone but I've had screen failures, charge port failures and software glitches

We try to be fully transparent with our site and corresponding icon, FAQs, coverage matrix, and other available information, to clearly convey the coverage - Accidental Damage/Theft/Standard Perils. It is not meant to replace a manufacturer warranty, which would cover the issues you reference. We even have a sample Policy Booklet (terms and conditions/declarations) available online for review at any time from the main landing page with having to get a quote or policy.
