Really quick and efficient service! Highly recommend

Said came to my home, He called as was stuck in traffic and was worried He’d be late (He wasn’t) He was friendly, polite, professional and very respectful, Said explained what He needed to do and gave me a rough idea of how long it should take, I would highly recommend Said.

⭐ 1/5 — AVOID. I FELT TRAPPED ONCE THEY HAD MY DEPOSIT.

I genuinely wish I had never called Wrong Fuel Doctor. If you are stranded and stressed, PLEASE think very carefully before paying them a deposit.

I accidentally put the wrong fuel in my car and was stranded at a petrol station, far from home, with my children at home being looked after by a sitter. Because of that, I was extremely clear from the beginning: I needed to know how long they would be because I had children waiting for me.

I found Wrong Fuel Doctor through Google and paid the deposit believing I was arranging urgent roadside assistance.

This is what followed:

First I was told approximately 30 minutes.

After I had paid the deposit, I was then told 55 minutes.

Then the man apparently carrying out the job called me himself and told me 15 minutes.

So which was it — 30 minutes, 55 minutes or 15 minutes?

I wasn’t asking for special treatment. I wasn’t demanding that somebody teleport across London. I was simply asking for an HONEST and RELIABLE ETA because I had children at home and needed to make arrangements accordingly.

When I questioned this, instead of somebody calmly explaining the situation, the attitude I received was unbelievable.

The man told me words to the effect of:

“Lady, it’s 20 everywhere, it’s London.”

I said okay and asked again when he would actually arrive.

I then asked for his name. He told me his name was Curtis.

And apparently he later told my partner that I was a “sarcastic lady.”

That was the point where this went from poor organisation to completely unacceptable customer service.

I WAS THE STRANDED CUSTOMER.

I was standing at a petrol station at night.

I was far from home.

I had children waiting for me.

I had already paid them money.

And instead of reassuring me or simply giving me a realistic arrival time, I was made to feel as though I was the problem for asking basic questions about a service I was paying for.

There is a particular kind of helplessness when a company has already taken your deposit, your car cannot be driven, you are stranded, and the person you are now relying on starts speaking to you in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable and belittled.

I felt completely trapped.

What was I supposed to do at that point? Cancel, lose more time and potentially lose my money while standing there with an unusable car?

That imbalance is precisely why companies providing emergency roadside services should have exceptionally good customer service. Their customers are often contacting them when they are already stressed, stranded and vulnerable.

Instead, I felt humiliated for daring to ask when somebody was actually coming.

And what makes this even more astonishing is that the text they sent me proudly advertises:

“Wrong Fuel Doctor is rated Excellent”

and

“4.9/5 on Trustpilot.”

That was absolutely NOT the experience I received.

Delays can happen. London traffic can happen. Jobs can overrun.

What is NOT acceptable is:

telling a customer 30 minutes, then 55 minutes, then 15 minutes; taking their deposit; and then making that customer feel difficult or “sarcastic” because they ask for clarification.

I have retained the messages, payment/deposit evidence and my call history from this evening.

If I had seen a review describing an experience like this before I paid them, I would have called somebody else.

So I am leaving this review for the next person standing at a petrol station desperately Googling for help:

DO NOT JUST SEE THE 4.9 STARS, PANIC AND PAY A DEPOSIT.

Ask exactly who is coming. Ask exactly where they are. Ask for a realistic ETA. Ask what happens to your deposit if the ETA changes substantially. And get everything in writing BEFORE paying.

I expected roadside assistance.

I did not expect to pay money and then be left feeling humiliated, powerless and spoken down to while stranded.

Based on my experience tonight, I would never use Wrong Fuel Doctor again.

Excellent service from Wrong Fuel Doctor. Said came out to help me after I put the wrong fuel in my car, and he was absolutely brilliant. He was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable, and worked quickly to get the car sorted. He explained everything clearly and did a really thorough job. I was very impressed with how efficiently he worked and how helpful he was throughout.

Great service. Mario was out to us within half an hour. He was really helpful, helped push the car and stayed until we had filled up the tank ran the engine.

I put petrol in my Audi A4 diesel, and this morning Awis, was the guy holding the trouble, nice and good guy with a knowledge to do the job,thanks to Awis and company.👍🙏

The repairman was very professional and kind. He answered all my questions and gave me advice on how to avoid further damaging my vehicle. I would recommend anyone experiencing fuel issues to seek their help.

Mario was amazing so clean and cleaned everything! We are so pleased as we are elderly and so stuck with putting diesal into water ! Mario arrived so quick too. Really nice polite and would recommend him always. Thank you Mario 👍😀

Amazing! Both Wrong Fuel Doctor and the engineer Mario went out of their way to complete a very difficult job involving my narrow boat, sticky fuel, distance, height and quality of fuel, within the quoted price. Mario was knowledgeable, hard working and determined to solve issues that arose. They were the middle of three quotes but the professionalism of the enquiry and booking process persuaded me it was worth not going for the cheapest and I'm so glad I did! If only all companies took care of customers like them. Thank you everyone!

Great service. Kept me well-informed. I put diesel in my petrol hybrid Rav 4. Warning lights everywhere and totally ground to a halt. I thought it was toast. First engineer was unable to get it started, partly because of where it was, on a remote country lane. They sent a second engineer first thing the following morning and he got it sorted in under an hour. Both guys were fantastic - really good knowledge of the car, what would be happening internally and what to do. Can't recommend too highly. Really good job.

Mario was a consummate and considerate professional from the first second to the final second of his 1hr 40min magnificent moves to get my motor running again.
My stupid error in filling a diesel tank with petrol but from the get go Mario was motivated in anyway (which were many) as it’s an old car.
To get me motoring again and without any moaning on his part which in many ways he may have been entitled to do.
My car was not an easy fix but he fixed it and never gave up finding new ways to approach the problems an older car presents.
In many way and despite my £200 error if you include the wrong fuel I put in.
It was worth it to meet a man as professional as Mario who is a family man, good man and a man I would be proud to have as representative of any company i owned.
Bravo Mario a pleasure to meet you today and get your boy to Masda gym when he is old enough 🫡
And lastly for any potential customers the whole team for this company are shit hot in all ways customer care, responses and prices.
I hope I don’t fck up again ⛽️ but if i do I’ll be calling this company and asking for Mario 🙏🏻

I joined trust pilot just to give this rating.

My car sputtered to a halt 20miles from my home.

RAC attended, diagnosed contaminated fuel and rang Wrong Fuel Doctor for me - they came within 12 hours (72 hours was the fastest I could find)

Bianca was so lovely and patient over the phone. I had trouble paying (my VPN and 4g) but it worked fine using the link from home wifi.

Jarek was so fast that by the time I arrived my car was running perfectly.

I felt I could trust them over the phone even though I never met anyone. In today's world, that's saying a lot about the company, and the way their people treat their customers.

Very straightforward call to sort out my mistake. Quoted 45 mins in the initial call and took 1.5 hrs, but the service when help arrived was exceptional. Very friendly, reassuring and professional.

Mario was brilliant fixed and running in 30mins from picking up the phone.

Andy, from Auto fuel doctor Fixed my car today after I added Adblue into my diesel fuel tank. I called the emergency helpline. Spoke to a very nice young lady. She booked me in took a £80 pound deposit over the phone. Andy turned up within the hour worked hard draining and cleaning refilling my fuel tank. Until the problem was fixed. Helpful, understanding and professional service.
