Excellent planning.
Friendly polite staff
Well behaved children who were eager to learn.

Free of hassle bookings. No morning phone calls from consultants. Instead, bookings received on app. Real Zen experience for me. Consultants very friendly and helpful, genuinely interested in you, and in securing a long term placement.

So far Zen have been by the far the most professional, friendly and slick agency I’ve come across. Their systems just work and everything is seamless.

Too reliant on the app. It would help to be able to speak with someone more easily

Overall great flexible job. Good pay - £16 and hour.

I am generally happy with the service I have from Zen. However, I'd like to have a clear and transparent discussion regarding pay rates and margins so that I can feel assured that I'm being treated fairly. I often feel like I am doing Zen a favour by travelling further than I'm usually happy to and being offered a fiver compensation for driving almost 2 hours in addition to my working day. I strongly feel that supply staff should be compensated for overly long travel times, let alone fuel and wear and tear to vehicles. I am sure there is legislation that covers this.

Zen are understanding and fair. I appreciate the system where work appears as a message on the app. Wait too long though and it will be gone! However, it still gives you the opportunity to think about whether you want the job. I enjoyed my first day with them and I think they pay quite well.

On the 23rd of February 2026, I was sent there as a nursery assistant by Zen Educate.
I enjoyed my first day of work with this nursery very much yesterday. I had a fantastic time at the nursery; I loved working with the children and the entire team. Everything felt so natural and professional—it was as if I had been working there for ten years.
The location was perfect for me as well. Living in South Kensington (SW7), it was only a 20-minute bus ride. Also, I was told they have another branch in Pimlico, which is also very convenient and close to me.
If they need me in the future, i would love to go back again

I’ve had a really positive experience with ZenEducate so far and couldn't be happier with the support I've received. Being based in Leeds, I was looking for an agency that truly understands the local landscape, and they have exceeded my expectations.

The app is easy to use and a great way to work. A member of staff sometimes follows up with a call to confirm arrival time.

The use of the App makes Zen stand out from other agencies. I love the concept of being able to look at my phone see a job, check it out and click accept. I enjoy the block bookings and also having flexibility which was the reason behind me breaking out of a permanent contract.
The downfall is last minute cancellations which can be anytime up to the deadline of arrival at the school. This doesn’t offer much protection, reliability or respect to staff as we could have found work elsewhere for that day. This can be frustrating having turned down other work for the same day. Thankfully these situations are few and far between so overall a great experience.

Very friendly and reasonable team at Zen. Have always had a job working as a TA through Zen for over a year now except some one or two days I couldn’t get one and I’m happy to say have recently been offered a long term role in a school through Zen. Give them a chance and you won’t regret it

A very spacious, huge clean school in the heart of Beckenham. Staff are nice and children are respectful. Free parking on all the streets around the school.
