I fell in love with the shampoo and conditioner bar. My curls were so well defined and healthy after using these products.

I love how squeaky clean the shampoo left my hair and there was no greasiness at all. The conditioner has kept my hair so moisturized on my non - wash days. I am so pleasantly surprised!

I have used the rice water shampoo and conditioner bars and they are soo good! They come with a foaming bag which helps the product foam up into a lather. My hair is usually dry and frizzy at the ends but now feels nourished and is so soft and shiny!

I decided to try the Yao’s Secret rice water shampoo and conditioner after hearing about the benefits that rice water has for your hair! Initially, I was a little nervous because I had only used liquid shampoo, but wow, these bars perform way better than I expected! It comes with a little mesh bag and foamed up nicely and lathered really well. After, my hair was left feeling fresh, clean, and very lightweight. It’s also comforting to know that it doesn’t contain any sulfate or parabens. I’ll continue to use it consistently to see results!

Where have these fermented rice water bars been all my life?! Just a quick lather transforms my dry, frizzy coils with each wash. Now I flaunt the softest, bounciest curls that gleam with health thanks to the potent herbal brew, and I tell all friends with texture hair that these bars are a must! ALSO, I'm thrilled I discovered Yao's bars born from the Red Yao women's ancient Chinese hair rituals. Their unique fermented rice water embodies time-honored tradition and optimal nourishment.

The bars are fairly small, and the foaming texture is so different to another shampoo and conditioner, so I was a bit skeptical. But I have suffered from dandruff all my life and after just the FIRST use of these bars my dandruff had COMPLETELY gone, and my hair was left soft and shiny. I’m so happy I’ve found them and I won’t stop using them!!

I bought this product set with very high expectations but unfortunately my hair developed dandruff what is nuts because I never ever ever had that before:( I use the shampoo bar since 3 weeks and I doubt it will get better. Plus my hair is super frizzy after this shampoo bar and conditioner:(

I fell in love with this shampoo and conditioner from the first seconds!!! The calm smell, the beautiful packaging, the design of the soap, the consistency, and most importantly the result. These hair products made my hair shiny and silky from the very first use. I really appreciate the composition of these hair products, as it is natural, so I will use and advise all my friends! Les produits ne sont clairement pas mauvais mais ce n’est pas non plus la révolution dans ma salle de bain. Peut-être que ce ne sont juste pas les produits pour moi. Pour le même prix, je trouve des marques qui me satisfont plus. Avec Yao Secret, mes cheveux restent tout de même secs sur la longueur. C’est dommage, j’avais vraiment envie d’être ravie. Je recommanderais quand meme d’essayer. On est tous différent. L’entreprise a l’air chouette.

I was really excited to use this product as I've done rice water hair rinses in the past and found it always left my hair feeling soft and looking shiny. I've also used shampoo bars in the past but they've always made my hair feel so dry and coarse afterwards. Thankfully I haven't had that experience with this product, my hair has been so silky smooth and so shiny that I honestly think I've found my new favourite product.

The shampoo bar lathers really well and doesn't strip my hair at all, I would even say that it feels moisturising, definitely doesn't feel like a regular shampoo lather. It comes with a little lathering/foaming pouch but I didn't really need to use it, it's pretty emulsifying by itself.

The conditioning bar, however, isn't that great when it comes to lathering and so it takes a little more time to ensure I spread it evenly throughout my hair. Thankfully this is where I find the pouch comes in handy, it really helps a lot when using the conditioner. Overall it's a good product that offers great slip, which is important to me as I like to detangle my hair before the final rinse. The ends of my hair feel so smooth and soft and I really have to credit that to this product.

I also purchased the Yao Verawood Brush and Combs Set (I got a little impulsive with the spending, but hey, it was payday and I wanted to spoil myself). I've been using the Paddle Hair Brush and Rat Tail Comb the most, I apply them with a little bit of pressure against my scalp and it feels like a nice massage.

Now, I know when people read reviews like this they often think the person must be sponsored or something, but I assure you I'm not. It's just that my experience with the Yao products have honestly been very positive, my hair is so shiny, so soft and so smooth. I urge anyone reading this to give it a go, but if it doesn't end up being suitable for your hair type then at least you gave it a shot.

Personally, I am just so thankful that the women of the Yao Village have been so kind to share this aspect of their culture with us.

This shampoo bar not only left my hair clean, but it also helped with detangling my natural hair. My type 4 hair tangles very easily during the shampoo process of my wash day, so the fact that I can finger detangle and put a comb through my hair is a plus for me. My hair was also clarified but not stripped. I love that there is no fragrance so that people with sensitive skin/ scalp can use it. There was no flaky residue or gritty feeling after shampooing. The packaging is cute, simple and very appealing. This is by far my favorite shampoo. I just wish the conditioner had water soluble silicones or the same detangling properties of the shampoo bar, but other than that I highly recommend this product.

I might die without my favorite shampoo and conditioner bars. The story behind the bars is what initially pulled me in. I’ll be a customer for life. I have fine thin hair and sensitive skin to top it off. Not only has this product line saved the integrity of my hair. But my hair had never been strong enough to grown longer than my shoulders it’s now to my lower back. This isn’t paid I’m a real person with a real story and this product has not only helped my hair but it helped me regain my confidence. I would highly recommended this product to anyone.

I’ve been using the shampoo and conditioner since January 2023 it’s now October 2023.

Not only is the product great but so is the customer service. My package got lost once no movement or updates. I contacted customer care and they were so quick to help me and send out a new package ASAP.

I absolutely love this company, the story, and the people who help make it all possible. Thank you for saving my hair and my confidence.
