Yao shampoo bar is amazing. I have many issues with my hair (thin, dyed) and very sensitive scalp. This shampoo makes hair look shiny and healthy and it's really kind with your skin (I've also tested as a face cleanser!). My daughter, who as long, thick, oily hair, is really satisfied too and she replaced all of her products with the bar.
It'm my third purchase and customer service is just lovely as their product. People in Yao staff are very kind and shipping is super fast

Ottimo prodotto il balsamo, lascia i capelli subito morbidi districando i noti e lucidi quando li asciughi.
Nota molto negativa si consuma subito, la saponetta si è assottigliata molto velocemente. Ho iniziato a usarlo a inizio febbraio, lavo i capelli 3 volte a settimana e già è quasi finita.. considerando il prezzo che non è low dovrebbe durare di più.

Had a bit of trouble receiving my delivery but the customer support were so helpful and resolved it quickly. I absolute love the idea of bars, especially if you’re a traveller like me. The shampoo bar lathers amazingly, however my conditioner bar doesn’t seem to lather well at all… Every time I use it, it produces nothing. Not sure if this is how it’s supposed to be or if I’ve just received an expired/bad bar. I want to love this brand and repurchase but honestly the experience with the conditioner bar is putting me off.

Customer service aside, who are just wonderful people.

The soap bars themselves have been the best hair care products I've ever tried.

I started in November 2022 and kept a personal diary for a few months (that's a bit wordy) - but that has been just to see if the products would make any difference to the the condition/state of my hair, in that short space of time.
I felt 3 months was ample enough time to see if the bars work their magic. And, oh my gosh....
What a difference!

Though I will say I had a few personal scalp issues before trying this brand, and all that was limiting my ability to have hair to be proud of using any other product.
It kept falling out... it was itchy, thin, dry, brittle and irritated.
So, hoping to do this right, I wanted get the utmost out of my soap bars and yes, to do this right, it's worth reading up on their website how to get the most out of Yao Secret.
And after reading the website's advice,
I learned furthermore what type of water I should be using, and then enquired with what water my supplier has where I live - it's moderately soft.
This Is Important. Because if you're prone to oily hair or have a hard water supplier, then you should find it easier to start off washing your hair with a baking soda rinse before shampooing.
So, I started using the baking soda rinse, because my hair was oily.
However, I panicked...
and I've only just started to come off doing that rinse now - it's February 2023. (So, perhaps I'll do the baking soda rinse again, if an odd occasion calls for it?)
but for now, I don't really need the baking soda rinse before every wash any more.
And I only occassionaly apply the ACV rinse after every other wash - also as advised.
*This is to balance my hair PH levels, they say*.
And then when I understood how exactly to measure the rinses correctly with warm water, I mixed them in a mug.
No plastic.
And I rinsed out the mug after every previous rinse.
I even love the way both soaps lather so well in my hands with just a sprinkle of water. And then with a quick rub and massage between my hands and scalp, I can feel the hydration just being soaked up by my hair.
I didn't even need any soap comtainers, they came inside the packaging. I like to hang them nearby my shower reasy for my next use.

And after starting Yao Secret in November 2022, I'm still finishing off my FIRST 2 bars.
They have lasted me for 3 MONTHS! Literally. I still can hardly believe it.

I'm so astonished at how much healthier my hair has become.
Really, wow! I'm just so pleased.

Side note; I towel dry my hair too. In fact. I have tried to be as natural as possible since I started using the bars, and that's made a great difference too.
Eating healthy...the works.
I just don't use a hair dryer or plastic.
But I do add essential oils to the ends of my hair every now and again, if they're feeling particularly dry.
They're good silicones.

And finally....there's the Yao grooming products, which have made such a difference to the quality of my hair, which I'm surprised by.

They're not like using just any other wooden comb, or hair pin, or plastic... pfft. If you have plastic hair grooming products, BIN THEM. Yao secret is worth it.

Side rant.......
On a final note I'll just say that I never write reviews. This is my second ever. I only review products when I think they're worth a good shoutout.

And this is not like any other advertisement, community or company.
They really care. They keep their promises.
Other ads just make people more vulnerable and skeptical when they promise this and that, or it your money back. Blah blah...
And I had wasted a lot of money on expensive products before Yao, and all of it was all just *incompatible rubbish* for my hair.
I won't say their brand names to protect their and my privacy.
But I will say whatever products your using, and if you're thinking of changing it, DO. For of whatever reason? Do try Yao Secret.
I did, and I've never felt so proud and happy with my hair.

And.... they're affordable.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time time to read this. And I hope you do consider everything I've said.

Hair felt stronger and curls became more defined. No scent which I like. The little baggies keep all the pieces together as it gets smaller and crumbles, very clever. I'd love to buy this again.

I have been using Yao Secret for 3 weeks now and I am truly impressed. I have terrible hair, curly and thin, very weak, really hard to take care of. In the past I used a lot of products, masks, foams, serums, you name it. I am now using only the shampoo and conditioner bars, which are fairly simple to use. Not only I need to wash them less frequently, but I don't need any additional product to keep them in shape. Cannot recommend it enough!

The shipping was quite fast keeping in mind I'm in Barcelona but I thought that the shampoo soap bars would be bigger. If you want to give it a chance, do it because they last for long time, they work properly and they have a pleasant smell but if you want to save money just try a usual shampoo that provides the same good results.

Great products! I bought the shampoo, conditioner and the rat tail comb. They delivered the products to Germany within a few days, which is a plus.
About the shampoo:
It makes my hair really soft and kind of stronger/thicker (I always experience this with high-protein products). What really surprised me is that almost NO HAIR is falling out when I use this shampoo. I usually have a lot of hair loss especially on wash day and when I am combing my hair, so this made me really happy. At the same time it makes my wavy hair a little more straight. The shampoo is not really „strong“ so I have to use a lot and be really thorough when washing my hair. Since the cleansing effect is not as strong as with my usual shampoos I am still washing my hair with my usual shampoo once a week - so I am slowly getting my hair used to the new product. It has been a few weeks now and it works. My hair is getting used to „weaker“ shampoo.
About the conditioner:
It is a great product. I don’t have much to say about this. I always apply it to the ends of my hair and it does it‘s job. German winters get pretty cold and I usually get split ends in the winter, which does not happen now and I am guessing it is because of the conditioner.
About the comb:
Also not much to say about this. It is as I expected it to be. It’s really great for styling hair.
Overall: I really love this company and I have used home made rice water before, so I was so happy when I found these products. The products are great for my hair and I will definitly buy them again!

Their customer support is A++ I ordered the hair kit which got lost in transit, they asked me to wait few days and if by the end if the week the tracking hadn't updated they would ship the same product... I waited 3 more days and got in touch they were actually about to email me so it shows they kept track of my order and were quick to reship. When my package arrived I recieved a follow-up email next day asking If i received my order...that's good customer service...now I just can't wait to test the soap bars

Third bar purchased. So 3 months use with just using the bar hair soap. And it feels great! Hair feels thicker, soft and clean! Not oily nor dry. Excellent product!

So far so good , definitely can see a difference in my hair , it's growing a little faster and healthier. I've been using both bars for 3 weeks now so really looking forward to the next few months. The foaming nets are weird at first but they actually do work. Very happy so far xxxx

After rinsing the shampoo out, my hair felt clean but still soft. The conditioner leaves my hair also very well. Overall the products clean your hair gently, leave it moisturized and easy to comb. In dry state my hair doesn‘t feel „extra clean“ and stressed, but soft and kind of nourished. My scalp is sensitive to shampoos and can get irritated. After rinsing and drying my hair my scalp doesn’t feel dry at all. Will purchase again. 🙌🏼

The shampoo and conditioner are just immaculate. My hair feels rejuvenated!
Everything about them depicts authenticity and being organic. I love the bar form since it's much more suitable for traveling too, and because it reminds me of the good old days.

Best Shampoo and conditioner I've used so far, I changed my Shampoos and conditioners a hundred times, but they never really improved my hair. After I bleached my hair blond, it took me forever to get my hair in a healthy state again. After washing my hair 3 times with these products, I saw a huge change! my hair got lighter but felt so much thicker. I have North African hair and can get pretty dry after washing my hair, but that didn't seem to be the issue with these Yao secret Bars. I do apply some oil afterwards, but that's just aftercare.
Extra info: I wash my hair only with shampoo if it's getting too dirty, so that's about 1-2 times a week, When washing I apply shampoo 3 times and conditioner 1 time. Been using the same bars for 2 months now.

I was impressed with the speed of delivery, I received the shampoo and conditioner. I am very happy with this ecological choice, the ingredients are of the highest quality. I had a lot of dandruff and often the products in the pharmacy made my hair dry, since I have been using this shampoo my hair is clean, thick and shiny. The conditioner makes the hair very easy to comb, nourishes it but leaves it clean and light. I'm very satisfied, my hair changed in 13 days, and I used this product just tree times, that's impressive.

I have received the Hair Care Treatment and it's a no match to my previous hair care products, I used to lose hair but now with the Hair Care Treatment my hair is strong and healthier than ever before.

The customer support is also very good.

Yao Secret is becoming more and more one of my favourite companies.

I wish I could recommend this product, but unfortunately it did not work for me. My scalp is on the oily side and the shampoo bar just wasn’t enough to clean it properly.
I tried to stick with the product for almost three weeks, since change always takes time and the hair needs to adjust, but to no avail. I’ve developed dandruff and my hair started falling out at alarming rate. My hair always felt greasy and unclean, no shine or happy thoughts. I am back to my old shampoo now and all is well again.
For what it’s worth, I had no issues with either the lack of lather or the bars falling apart as the other comments mentioned

Really good shampoo and conditioner. Made my hair feel really healthy, full and shiny and strong.
BUT the conditioner bar did not last long at all, maybe 3 weeks using it 2-3 times a week. Don't know why. The shampoo bar is lasting much longer.
Also shipped from China so took a couple of weeks to arrive.
