Deception: Wasted 3 days and they don't care.

It's asked me which account type I wanted, I selected free version, spent three days on their slow website building an automation system, only to find it was on a free trial and half the things I did are not available on the free version at all. Wasted three days, it was slow, the AI made constant mistakes, and when I written to them in an email explaining the situation, they gave me the choice of use it for a few days or pay £30 per month just to have one email automation per week, is if I didn't already point out the situation and acknowledge that that was the current seeming options. Absolutely disgraceful and they clearly don't give a s***. Wasted three days of my time and then speak to me as if they're a vending machine. Never again I recommend you avoid these people at all costs. I'm just grateful I didn't sign up for anything because people don't seem to be having refunds when they break their promises. Disgusting that business owners like this can get away with it, they belong in prison.

One of the worst tools I've ever dealt with

They continuously push bad code into production - I can't count the times I had to build a workaround for something that was working perfectly well before they updated something.
If that is not enough, their support is one of the worst I ever had to deal with. They actively try to gaslight you into believing that the issue is either caused by you misusing their tool or by the other software that you're trying to integrate using Zapier. They never actually help. Whenever you try to report a bug they'll say that this is a know issue, will not give you any timeline and will refuse to keep you updated.
Zapier is complete garbage. DO NOT waste your time and money. There are SEVERAL better options on the market.

Be aware of the annual plan

Be aware if you plan on signing up for their annual plan. They will not issue you a partial refund if you cancel in the middle.

I changed companies and my new company handles all the automation and CRM for me. I no longer need their services and I have 6 months left on my current subscription. They will not issue any kind of refund even though I will not be using their service at all.

Zapier stole nearly $3,600 out of my bank

I was on a $32/mo subscription for a couple years and without any notice, my subscription was no longer active, all my zaps were gone from my account and I noticed two charges in one day on my business debit card that totaled nearly $3,600. Straight up theft. Impossible to contact Zapier but I'm working with my bank to recover it. Stay away from these criminals.

Hard to Use

Hard to Use. Not for the average person. You basically need to Hire an expert to set up even the simplest of things. There is no actual helpful support unles you sig up for a massive package, just a 'community' which is even more frustrating way to lose hours of your time. Don't waste your time

Had big surprise with our credit card


Had big surprise with our credit card bill of over $800

Zapier just charged an annual plan without notifying us - they said they sent an email but it doest mean we received it.

We messaged our surprise and asking for a refund and downgrade our plan so we do not get this charge again.

the stale scripted response says due to "our policy" we can't issue a refund. they need to change the words "we can't" to "We Won't" - other companies have been able to issue a refund. our company can. they can but they won;t.

The funny response is we can cancel your account if you wish - meaning they already have our money and won't refund it and now they have no problem assisting in cancelling our account. They said that we would have to wait until next year when the account is up for renewal to downgrade the plan.

A lot of frustration !

I have been using Zapier for over one year now.

You cannot imagine the amount of frustration that this app can generate. For one year, I have been feeling very unsecure about my data, my zaps that have erratic behaviors et the brains that have designed this whole mess, wondering what would the next move.

I have transfered the DB to Airtable and a part of the headache was gone. But I keep struggling with my zaps. I would like to go N8N, but there is a Zapier functionality that I need.

Their last fantastic idea ? Replace the name of your zaps by one single letter. How brilliant ! I now struggle to differentiate my zaps.

I now tend to rely more on more on the small (but reliable) automation features of AT.

Zapier should change its strict "no


Zapier should change its strict "no refunds" policy. I stumbled across a monthly charge of over £20 when I looked at a mini bank statement.

The problem is that I had not received any email reminders or notifications. The invoices are kept on their website and as I had not used any of the services for months I did not spot this recurring charge.

Zapier's support downgraded me to a free plan and refunded the last charge but this has left me around £200 out of pocket. Reputable companies like Kajabi and Canva always send you an invoice by email monthly so you know where you are.

I will never use Zapier again after this experience.

Incompetent scam

Zapier has had many outages, we have to fix the broken runs ourselves. Days later they send a message stating they manually forwarded the zaps as well, resulting in thousands of euros in damages. They now state this is something they cannot do anything about, sending us in loops to 'info pages' on their site.

Overhyped AI?

I tried the free two week trial and only made it to the first day. Using the AI tool to generate my workflows proved convoluted and complicated. I had got to a certain point after some hours only for the bot to decide there was a problem further back, delete half the work and then act as if it had never done in the first place and want to virtually start again. I read the reviews here and deleted my account at that point. Is AI overhyped? If this experience is anything to go by probably. Humans still very much needed as it was quicker and easier for me to do the work myself without automation otherwise I'd just spend more time setting up a system and fixing bugs.

Just terrible.

Just terrible.

Patchy, inconsistent, simple zaps either don't trigger at all, or trigger endless zaps at a time.

Support is non existent.

It's impossible to believe that credible companies use this daily to facilitate their needs.

Absolutely joke of a company and we wish we'd read the reviews before even entertaining it.

Disappointed with Zapier, Found a Better Alternative

I attempted to use Zapier for my workflows, but I encountered the same problems that other users have brought up: duplicate records, inadequate support, and being locked into a plan that I never really used. They seem to have lost their ability to listen to users and have become overly inflexible. I'm glad I looked elsewhere after a while. I moved to a different automation tool that is actually responsive to feedback, much easier to set up, and much more flexible with integrations. Overall, things have gone more smoothly, and I'm not as concerned about workflows crashing in silence. I only regret not switching sooner.

Extremely Faulty.

Wanted to Use Cognito forms to send data to Hubspot. Due to Cogtino Forms ONLY integration being Zapier, I thought I would create a Zap and feed the data in that way.
Zapier attempts to search Hubspot companies. Gets it completely wrong and doesn't find anything, so their integration creates duplicates rather than updating the record.
Completely useless.
Cant contact support, because they only provide support to certain user types.
How are they supposed to fix their software if you cant even tell them about it.
There are now plenty of better integration apps available.
Stay well clear of Zapier.
