Nextbase customer service is a joke
Bought the 622GW front and rear dashcam October 2024 and had it professionally hardwired into my new car. From the off I wasn't very happy as to view clips using the app it has to connect using their 'superfast wifi'. What a joke! My EV has it's own wifi and so the cam wouldn't connect. Had to take camera out of the car before it would hook up. Found it easier to remove the sd card and use my pc to view clips.
September this year it got a fault in that the battery overheated. Originally presumed to be the sun and heat this summer that caused it, but when it overheated at night, I knew there must be a fault, the battery was not charging either. Having done all their recommended checks and still no joy I had to claim a warranty repair. Ringing is useless, they don't answer the phone so filled in their online form which is not easy to find. You get stuck in a loop of clicking warranty claims then being redirected to their FAQs. Finally got there and completed the form with all information, then you wait for a response. Two weeks!! Reply email asked for all the info again and what the problem was, but I'd already told them. Two more replies asking the exact same thing then eventually they sent an RMA and returns label. 8 days later and I have a working camera.
Not happy as this camera was very expensive for what it is. To have to connect to it via bluetooth initially which works fine only to try to connect via wifi to view clips is stupid. Wish I hadn't bought it in the first place and am probably going to have it removed from my car shortly, shame I can't get a refund. (Anyone want a dashcam cheap?)
Nextbase customer service is a joke, they either need better training or more staff. I'd avoid if I were you.
