Rogue traders - poor products, poorer customer service

I ordered a pair of cufflinks, they arrived damaged with one misshapen and the other dirty. I returned these to the address on the invoice only to be told it was wrong. I had to pay approx £20 on returns fees due to this error and im still waiting for my refund. They will not proactively contact you re a refund. They need to be chased consistently. This company is a front for C W Sellors who if you look them up on Trustpilot have incredibly negative reviews.

Poor service and poor experience

Booked a last minute all inclusive holiday with Jet2, 4 days before flying. Didn't receive any transfer information so turned up in Tenerife and tried to find a rep. Pretty easy to find but disappointed i hadn't received any information. Also wasn't able to check in as I was only able to buy seats on the outgoing flight and it looked like there were no seats available on the incoming flight. I called the day before as was getting worried and was told to let the staff know when I checked in and they would sort out seats. Checked in on the flight out and was told to let the staff know when checking in on my incoming flight so spent part of the holiday worrying i wouldn't be able to get a seat on the flight back. Never saw a rep in my hotel the entire time I was on holiday except for the last day when my transfer never turned up. Waited at my hotel for 45 minutes. Tried to contact Jet2 via the WhatsApp number provided only to discover it was a chatbot that kept repeating the same suggestions. Asked the reception to call Jet2 twice, they could not get through as the line was consistently engaged. Asked reception if my transfer had turned up and they said no. Was really starting to panic at this point when a Jet2 rep showed up out of nowhere. Told him my transfer had not appeared. He called the coach who apparently had arrived at the hotel in an unmarked coach and waited 2 minutes before leaving. No attempt to let reception know they were here. No attempt to contact me. I had excepted there to be a rep on the coach or for someone to contact me..but heard absolutely nothing. I had waited outside the hotel for this coach only to be told the coach driver would not find passengers or make themselves aware to reception. In the end I had to fork out for a private taxi. This was an enormous pain and put such a sour note to the end of what should have been a lovely holiday.
Very disappointed in the service provided by Jet2, expected much more. Iv booked with Tui before and the difference in service is vast. They really treat you like a valued customer.

Biscuits incredibly overpriced for what they are

Biscuits were incredibly overpriced for what they were. I paid £40 for 9 biscuits, some were much smaller than others. As others have commented, the taste of the icing overpowered the ginger taste. The presentation box was small, metal and had a paper sticker as decoration. For £40 I would have expected either a nice presentation box, but also many more biscuits.

Avoid at all costs

Disappointing stay, definitely not worth the deal that was advertised on Secret Escapes.
Hotel was shabby with broken and dirty furniture throughout.
The room was incredibly small, advertised as front facing...but not much of a view.
The bathroom was the size of a broom closet, the toilet holder was broken, the shower was not adjustable so no option to have a shower without getting hair wet. The water would run cold for at least a minute or two, and water pressure was incredibly poor...water would sometimes just completely cut out. There were screws coming out of the base of the bath and the flooring was poor quality. When we entered the bathroom the spotlights weren't working so had to ask at reception to have these replaced which was done promptly, but this should have been resolved prior to us being allocated the room.
Bed covers were dirty and stained and the room was shabby, looked like it needed a good dusting and clean. The room smelled like someone had been smoking in it and this smell was embedded into the upholstery. The windows would regularly steam up, no air con option, and the heaters in the room did not work. The spoon and cups in the room were dirty and looked like they hadn't been washed properly.
The kettle in the room was so small you could just about heat up two cups of water. There was no safety on the kettle so it would not stop boiling when the water was boiled...I found this out the hard way when I burnt my hand on the handle.
Stayed for 2 nights and the room was not cleaned, neither were the towels replenished or toiletries replenished. When I went to ask at reception for more shower gel I was told that they were running low on supplies so had none available.
I had booked this hotel so I could use the spa and get a treatment, only to be told the massage therapist had walked out so there were no massages available as advertised.
Only saving grace for this hotel was the quality of the food. Dinner was served well, although portions were a little on the small side. Breakfast options were really good but food would consistently run out and you would be waiting 5 - 10 minutes for the buffet to be replenished.
Incredibly poor hotel, would not book this again. Avoid at all costs.
Equally disappointed that this is being advertised on Secret Escapes as a good offer...it is not.

Great clothes at great prices

I’d never previously heard of I saw it first, but I have to say I’m super impressed by the quality and breadth of their range. I managed to get some great dresses at some very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend.

Royal Mail needs to be shut down

Someone else has set up a redirection from my home to theirs so nearly all of my post is now redirected without my consent. I've flagged to Royal Mail on numerous occasions and they do absolutely nothing about it. Promising to correct it and still it continues to happen. This has been ongoing for 6 months now and I fear I am highly at risk of identity theft. Royal Mail need to be shut down. They have monopolised the market without fear of consequences hence why customer service is not a concern. They offer a disgusting service with appalling customer service.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. I ordered a sofa set which took nearly 5 months to arrive. No updates from Cousins over that period. I had to continually email and call for an update. On the day of arrival I was given a 2 hour delivery slot...my sofas arrived an hour after the 2 hour slot...at approximately 7pm in the evening. The delivery men were in a rush and keen to get home so were rushing trying to get the sofa into my living room. One sofa had at least 3 obvious scuffs in the leather. And my corner set would not fit through the door so was left in my garage. I was told that someone could come the next day to dismantle and move to my living room. No-one called. Upon me chasing Cousins told me it would cost me an additional £500...on top of the £2.5k I was already spending to saw the sofa in half, move it and put it back together. Disgusting service. I would highly advise you not to buy from this retailer.

Scented Mixed Stocks Flowers

Ordered the Scented Mixed Stocks flowers for a family member who had been in hospital, and they arrived promptly the following day however were very different colours to those advertised, looked more washed out (colour combo was not good), and looked somewhat droopy. Very disappointed.

Despicable service

I ordered a homedics mat from Very only to be sent a table lamp! When I called to complain I was told I would have to return it and wait to be refunded rather than be offered a replacement. This meant I had to spend another £250 ordering a replacement. When I called Very to complain I was questioned as to why I hadn't called as soon as I had received the parcel!! It hadn't even been a week! The customer service operators that very use can barely speak english and are so incredibly rude I'm surprised they passed the interview stage. Very also use Yodel an incredibly useless delivery service. When I called to complain that Yodel hadn't arrived within the allocated delivery slot I was given, Very told me that they might have made a mistake and could arrive anytime between 7am and 7pm. That worked out great for me as I'd had to take time off work to wait at home! Absolutely awful customer service. Will never order from Very again.

Yodel tracking is a joke

Yodel service is awful. I waited at home for Yodel to come and collect a parcel I was returning. Their online tracking service kept counting down to say my delivery was in its way however the next time I checked it told me I had missed my delivery slot and a calling card had been left for me. I called to complain that no-one had come to collect my parcel and I had specifically waited at home, only to be told that my tracking slot was irrelevant and they could come at any point between 7am and 7pm! Absolutely ridiculous service.

Holiday advertised was not provided

I was under the impression my holiday was booked until I was called on the evening, had to reduce the 3 rooms I had thought I'd booked to 2, lost out on the breakfast I had thought I'd booked with the room...and was asked to pay more!
The reason given was that the airline had increased prices. Well I would fully expect the travel company to pay the difference given my booking had been confirmed at the advertised price.
Theres absolutely no point in booking with a company who provide you with a different service to the one you thought you had booked. I could have just booked on an altogether different site!

This appears to be an online order and no payment is taken when the order is submitted. The orders processed are on a request only basis as the costs and availability are fed from cached data directly from our suppliers and/or brokers and we have no control over the content, Once orders are received by our office, should we not be able to honour the booking at the web price we will call the client to offer any suitable alternatives which is then up to the client to accept or not. No payment is taken until our client agrees to the new costs. A pre-authorisation only is held, and released immediately if no booking is confirmed.

I stayed at this property on one of the hottest weekends of the year for what was supposed to be a romantic get away for my husband and I for our wedding anniversary. The air conditioning was broken and I suffered extreme heat exhaustion. I had expected to move rooms when I initially raised the issue of the faulty air conditioning, as opposed to just being given a fan which only served to spread the warm heat around the already unbearably hot room. I spent the majority of the weekend suffering from heat stroke, with a severe migraine and nausea and vomiting.

Having raised this with management I was promised a refund of my points used for this stay. However, upon leaving I realised that they had no intention of keeping this promise. I would thoroughly suggest you stay away from this property as it will not only be a true waste of your money but you will also receive meager service by people who call themselves professionals.

I have emailed hilton several times post this stay to voice my dissatisfaction (including emailing personally the operations manager at this property, a George Topouzoglou), but unfortunately it seems he does not wish to deal with actual complaints after you have left the property.

Too costly for what it is

Price is far too expensive so have cancelled movies pass. New movies are added in too infrequently so have also had Netflix which is cheaper and has a far wider range of box sets and movies.

Ok Service

Flowers were a steal at £12 and arrived in beautiful condition and in a timely manner (for my mum & dads wedding anniversary). The card however was wet (my dad spent 10 minutes drying it off with a hairdryer!), and the message I had asked for was missing so when the flowers arrived my parents had no idea who had sent them!
