Poor customer service

Ordered replacement cylinders. They arrived punctually, all good.

Awaited instructions on returning them. A month later I received an email, saying ‘please return them’, so I responded confirming that I would love to but haven’t had instructions.

I had no response and the next day was charged £50. I have written back twice more, STILL no response.

Appalling Operations/Fulfilment

I don’t know why I don’t learn my lesson. Every Christmas I place an order in November and then panic as Christmas gets closer with no news.

Same this year. Placed order on 3rd wk November and a month later no update.

They’re marketing SO hard to get us to buy stuff and then they can’t fulfil it.

Oh and don’t attempt to contact Customer Services…


EDIT: I received my order today, well 50% of it. The shirt was missing 🤦🏻‍♀️

So both late, and incompetent

A couple of teething problems but communication was clear and the engineer who came (Fazle) was prompt, efficient and lovely.

There is no centre management

Better - West Reservoir Water Sports

If you actually manage to find and book the water sports course you want, then the experience is good.

But that’s a massive IF. There appears to be no management. I’ve emailed at least 10 times, I’ve phoned (no joy), I’ve contacted Better Customer Service 4 times, and I’ve been in in-person several times. But the person I need to speak to is never available/I get incorrect info/I’m told to come back. It’s so infuriating and no one takes responsibility.

If you want your kids to do RYA Training Levels, find an alternative as you won’t get them past level 2 here.

Incompetent service.

Two packages were sent from abroad to London.
One had the wrong postcode on it, so was sent to Birmingham and stayed in Royal Mails vortex for a week (not their fault)

The other was printed on a label that had the first character of every line cut off, so the parcel was delivered to a house 40 doors away, can’t get hold of the occupiers now.

Gloves didn't arrive within the…

Gloves didn't arrive within the estimated delivery date, which was why I chose this retailer over another.

Just be wary if you need them in a hurry—they're coming from abroad, so the expedited P&P option was extortionate.

Don’t have parcel

Out for delivery last night. Didn’t come. Chased them up today — customer service is poor — said it’ll definitely be coming today. 9pm now and my parcel is apparently still at the depot. Phones close at 5pm and chat at 6pm.
Can’t believe I’m saying this but EVRI is better. Shockingly

Phone call bombardment

I’m leaving Talktalk after years and have been BOMBARDED with texts and phone calls ever since. I’ve asked them not to call me, I’ve told them my new provider is taking responsibility for closing my account and they still bother me repeatedly. Each time I speak to a perfectly nice South African call centre handler I lose my mind.

No communication. No delivery. Apparently I wasn’t there so the only item has been sent to storage. I wouldn’t have known that had I not fallen down a tracking black hole.

Bad for Business

Another Business Account holder here. I reiterate what the other poster said - DON’T OPEN A BUSINESS ACCOUNT.

After 5 years of loyal custom, we’ve had our active business account closed, with no reason given beyond ‘outside our appetite’. All communication sent by mail. All queries back have to be sent by mail. We wrote, asking what had happened (as you’re not allowed to phone), and requested an email back, but weeks later got another letter in the post. No explanation as to why our money is no good for them. Accountants are stumped.

Please save yourself the hassle. Appalling service.

They don’t deliver when they say they will

They don’t deliver when they say they will. And then they can’t tell you when they will deliver.

So far I’ve had two experiences with Wincanton, and so far I’ve had two bad experiences. They don’t turn up during the delivery window and no one calls you. I’ve chased and chased. I’ve taken time off work. I’ve been told the item has been returned to the depot and I can’t book a delivery date until it’s been scanned back in.

It’s so infuriating. And this wasn’t a cheap item or a cheap delivery fee. All my clothes are in piles on the floor because I dismantled the old chest of drawers in anticipation of the new one’s arrival.

And I keep calling. If you can avoid them, for your own sanity, do so. I’m avoiding the original supplier (West Elm) now too, as I can’t bear this rubbish service.

I don’t believe the good reviews.

Disastrous customer service

Disastrous customer service.
Bought a £160 bag nearly 2 months ago. Still haven’t received it.
Have chased customer service multiple times and 2 days later they respond with an unconnected question or platitude. But no solution.

Be aware this label is a drop-ship model. So it’s up to the supplier (in this case one in Spain) to actually send this item. Or in this case, not.
