Faulty car - shocking after sales service
AVOID AT ALL COST
I bought a Ford Focus in March 2015 for £7300. The car broke down in July, then again in August whilst abroad, which I had to have repaired at great cost to me, I complained but was basically told its down to wear and tear and to expect this sort of thing of a car that age. Yesterday the car broke down with the same fault, my local garage said that it will take a major investigation to find the fault, incurring more costs. When I contacted car giant I was once again told that this was wear and tear and they would not assist in any way. So I bought a newish car (2013) with low mileage (39,000) for £7,300, had it for six months, during which time it broke down several times, and now have a car that is too dangerous to drive. Can't believe Car Giants attitude and will pursue small claims action. I quoted sales of goods act but they were not interest and told me to go ahead and sue if that's what I want.
Avoid this company, hard sale while we bought our car, then appalling attitude when a problem occurred.
A comment on their response to this negative review. They obviously read them and respond in exactly the same way to complaints, asking for the number plate, then a reassuring message saying someone is looking into this. However, shock of all shocks, after a day you get the same rubbish repeated how they are unable, sadly, to assist. Clearly no one looked into this as they once again stated that I had the car for 7 months (REPORTED THE FAULT AT 5 MONTHS) and that the fault is down to normal wear and tear. Now back to square one, seeking legal help. Does anyone know of a firm that deals with this? AWFUL GRABBY COMPANY WITH NO REGARD FOR CUSTOMER
