Good service at a good price

The insurance packages they offer are fairly priced and more competitive than many other large businesses. I am happy to see that they are making improvements to their online systems and the app to make the communication and experience easy to navigate.

Best Integrated self-install camera for the price

The process to getting the right camera shipped was straightforward. Placed the order for my Toyota Supra, got an email to send a photo of the rear view mirror casing, and it was shipped the following day arriving 7 days from placing the order. Installation can be tricky but lots of youtube videos from helpful people showing how to get it done - a few of those and 20min later, it was done. Everything worked out of the box. The only issue I found was wifi connectivity when car is on vs engine started (due to apple carplay connecting) - otherwise it works as expected. The image quality is very good (4k-ish) for £135 - it's not maybe as amazing as the £400+ cameras, no GPS data (which isn't needed anyway - you know where you are?!), but it looks OEM, won't fall off and doesn't obstruct any screen space, no wires and no need to pay for installation. Those were my criteria anyway.

Borderline Scam

Borderline Scam - they provided a terrible service using their premium delivery. It was supposed to deliver on the exact date which you pay extra for - they arrived 2 days late with some stems broken.

Eflorist deleted the account communication we had about the refund they finally agreed to give of 50% - and never saw anything come back into the bank account after waiting 3 weeks.

Avoid this merchant, it’s terrible and dishonest

Badly Damaged on Delivery

Had to refuse delivery as the package was handed to me with visible damage to packaging from all sides - and a deep scratch on the product underneath the packaging as a good 50 x 5 cm section of cardboard was just ripped by something sharp/corner. Can't believe this wasn't flagged to me when it was delivered - looks like completely ignorant of people's and business' products and having a negative impact on the environment having to redeliver and send things back. If you don't care about how you deliver, you cannot be trusted as a courier.

Made a purchase directly from their…

Made a purchase directly from their website for a back protector - seemed like a sensible place to buy it from in case of any issues.

However, it has taken already 2 weeks and the product tracking they provided me with for DPD has been stuck in transit ever since the order date.

Normally DPD from Europe to UK takes a maximum of a few days, but not having heard about any updates from Salomon or the courier for 2 weeks - I decided to email Salomon.

Salomon apologised for the inconvenience and then said they opened a support ticket with UPS... however the delivery is with DPD according to their tracking link?

Not sure what to think about the consistency of their business - but it seems to be currently failing on several fronts.

Had minor paint work done by Scott this morning on my RAV4 - he explained the best course of action for fixing scratches on 4 different areas of the vehicle, carried out the work and gave useful advice for any future issues/care with paintwork. Very pleased with the service.

Fantastic service

Fantastic service. Made a purchase of batteries, accidentally ordered the wrong pack series size, before dispatch got an email out to amend - was handled promtly and the right order on its way. Refund given on the difference!

I am appalled by the fact that they…

I am appalled by the fact that they rebranded a service charge, explicitly stating it is to do with the new legislation that prevents companies from charging people for debit card payments. I would rather be calling the takeaway direcetly from now on, than using their "online service", out of principle. Cheating customers for pennies is a low blow.

Efficient and Friendly Service

Simple and fast to request tyre replacement online. Got a notification in the morning via email and text about the time slot, was called up just before to check before turning up. Tyres replaced and told about the additional free checks within the 25-30 minute window. Polite and friendly with my 2 year old son investigating the novelty of tyre replacement. Excellent experience, thank you!

Great price for a product, abysmal customer support

Apologies for the longer explanation, but I had a multitude of experiences in the past 4 days with their customer support, and I found that there rare cases of good employees in that company, and some who have been terrible. Overall, I would not recommend this company to anyone, despite their good offers.

I received my product on time, to discover that two of its keys on the keyboard were sticking when pressed. I attempted to resolve the issue by checking that it was not due to dirt, and it was evident that the plastic mechanism that holds the key, was not the best fit, causing it to jam when pressed. I reported the problem an hour after this issue on the same day of receipt, and was contacted by customer services next morning with an issued returns label. I managed to ship it back the same day. This part of the process was well managed on their part.

Upon receipt of my the laptop with two faulty/jammed keys (next working day after return-shipment), the customer service team requested for my personal login details via their emessage service. I explained that they do not need this information to address the issue I reported (and ackowledged that they are free to wipe the brand new laptop and reset it to factory settings to login themselves if it was necessary), but they insisited on getting my personal login details (and threatened to return the faulty product to me if I did not provide them). 24 hours went by, and nobody contacted me any further. I had to call them on the 0800 number (costing over £10) during which I had to call them several times: first two times the customer service team (Sophie, 21/10/2015, 16:30) disconnected when I asked for the policy where it says the returns team will need my personal password to test for un-related faults. The first call also included me asking to be put through to a manager to speak about the issue, which was not handled, and I never got that opportunity.

Finally, I got through to explain the same issue again on a 3rd call, after which Ashley, was excellent at contacting the tech support, and confirming that they do not need the password, and they will have no issues testing the brand new laptop for any faults I actually reported. Furthermore, Ashley confirmed that there is no policy in place that says that customers returning faulty products must provide personal login information. This did not come to me as a surprise, coming from an engineering background, and was glad someone gave me a glimmer of hope in their customer service team.

I am sad to say that despite that the last customer support team member (and the person providing the returns postage label) were highly efficient and useful, I would never order any products from LaptopsDirect (or recommend it) due to the expense of having to call them on the 0800 number (although minor compared to the price of the high-spec laptop) and time I have wasted dealing with an issue that should have been resolved much faster. I am aware that the emessage service would have enabled me to contact them for free, but I had to resolve to calling, as most of the encounters with the customer service team seemed inefficient and stuck in repeated circle of the team asking for something that is not part of their policy, and being rude about it.

I hope the customer support members who were helpful to this order are rewarded (mentioned above and probably on your records) and Sophie to be investigated as to why it is appropriate to hang up and insist on customers providing personal login details when this is not mentioned on any returns policy page of LaptopsDirect.

This is very different to my experience with companies like Dell, who despite charging a whopping £360 for 4 year next day at home support, has addressed every issue I have had immediately, without problems.

I shall be communicating this incident further to Trading Standards if my purchased laptop is not supplied in a full working condition with reimbursement for the excessive amount of trouble I had to go through to get my product, including an extension on the warranty which has been wasted now for at least 1 week since I never got a working product in the first place.
