My vehicle went in for repairs after a minor collision…during the repairs they noticed a problem with the breaks ….i don’t know what that was? Nobody let me know what was wrong with the breaks and instead of being 10 days estimate for repairs it was almost ten weeks with little communication. I now have my vehicle back but still don’t know what was wrong with the breaks!!!

the initial quote was great and much cheaper than elsewhere and at the same time offering better cover all through the quote questionnaire ( home and contents )I was just a little disappointed when I went back to my quote to find it had increased. Mind you still better value than others. It is quote a simple questionnaire to answer and easy to understand and complete. Payment took a while as I do not have immediate access to the app required for my payment card.

Everyone involved at AA insurance was efficient and helpful in quickly organising on keeping me informed on the bodywork repairs as and providing me with a courtesy car as part of the comprehensive insurance policy.

The repair process via their recommended, approved local bodyshop took rather longer than I had anticipated (7 weeks) and the first target date for completion was also missed due to lack of parts availability. Overall a good service with excellent communication mostly via the AA App and text messages but also and vitally by a quickly answered customer telephone service!

The ease of completing the insurance for my car, ehat was quoted and till the end all was easy, straightforward and simple to complete.

Parts not available, repair incomplete, no date for completion. No one point of contact. Problems with repair and rental car. Rental car withdrawn despite incomplete repair. Patched up (expensive) headlamp maladjusted and wouldn’t pass MOT. Paid to have it removed and adjusted prior to MOT test. Complaints system useless, refused to engage as FOS involved.
CRA 2015 applies and is breached. AA don’t care. Zero stars.

Been with LV car insurance for a number of years but they would not budge on price , found AA Platinum insurance offered better cover and was over £100 cheaper , so for me winner winner , now the AA has me covered for both breakdown and insurance cover.

Purchased the AA Platinum Home and contents policy through a comparison site.

Yesterday I changed my car insurance to the AA.

Firstly, it's possibly too early to give an accurate review, and the backstory to this is that I used to be with the AA and moved away when their price at renewal was extortionate compared to deals available to new customers. I went to "another provider" last year.

That provider did exactly the same: increased my premium on renewal by c. £130 and made no attempt to requote on request. So I searched online and found AA policies available at literally £200 less than I was being asked to pay. I looked at 'Gold', then realised that when I added on an option it was actually cheaper to go 'Platinum' that included it as standard.

My only gripe is that for my policy to start the next day was £406, but to start the same day (and it was already 7pm)... £743! And I'd already just cancelled my existing policy due to confusion with its chatbot.

So I had a scary few hours last night until 1 minute past midnight but all is well, the car is still there and undamaged, and now I'm covered. And I have a feeling I won't have any issues with the AA

The insurance packages they offer are fairly priced and more competitive than many other large businesses. I am happy to see that they are making improvements to their online systems and the app to make the communication and experience easy to navigate.

I must say that the whole process was very easy from start to finish with prompt responses and all completed in a timely manner on my smartphone
