Pretty much the same as most of the other reviews. The booking process was simple, the boiler and the fitter arrived early on the correct day. The installer was efficient and friendly, the installation took around five hours and so far there have been no issues at all.
I didnt know about the requirement for condensate to be drained away, so I had to either have piping going along the wall on the outside of the house and down to the ground or get a condenser pump and route the condensate to an internal waste pipe. Having opted for the latter, I was expecting to be billed for this extra item and the required pipe work, which the installer had to source and collect from a local merchant. However I was pleasantly surprised to be told that there would be no extra cost. I was surprised that condensate disposal was not mentioned at all during the booking process, maybe I should have investigated more myself, but it would have been better to know about this in advance rather than having to make a snap decision on the day of installation.
The other niggle is with the boiler itself, a Greenstar 30i. I am very happy with the boiler, its working fine, its quiet, its an improvement on the one it replaced. What I did not know beforehand is that the central heating can only be controlled via the thermostat, i.e. one cannot switch the heating on and off manually at the boiler. The thermostat is all set up and works fine, as does the Honeywell mobile app, but I would have liked to have a manual on/off option too.
Overall I am very happy with the outcome and I would not hesitate to recommend BOXT to anyone looking to install a new boiler.
