Went to boots in Newmarket Road in Cambridge today (5/03/2026).
Asked the lady to help finding the right products for my pores .
Her reply: “don’t know much about it. Only working here 1 year. Let’s me google it”.
After google research she added: “come back if you do have any problems.” To do what exactly? Watching you google my questions?
Well done. You might just be off without her since I can google myself!!!

Absolutely rubbish.
Tried to sell my engagement ring that was basically new at Cambridge store.
They said they had to test it because unsure of the gold type. They gave me a quote for the two different type of gold and reassured me they we’re gonna buy even with the mark they were gonna make on it.
After leaving 3 horrible marks on the ring they did not buy because their solution did not show any results!
Absolute outrageous. Left speechless.
Went to a different shop after and they stated it’s a 18ct gold.
Do not waste your time with them!
Again just rubbish and unprofessional!!!

Customer service is usually OK.
But yesterday I had weird experience:
Went to buy net curtains and the guy literally raised his eyebrows when I said I only needed plain and flat net (if you don’t mind I choose want I want and for my personal purpose). he did not say much and looked like was really bothered to “help” a customer.
If it wasn’t that I needed the net yesterday ... I was gonna walk away from that shop.

Couple of years with them and cannot complain so far. Had few questions and agents always been very kind to me solving my query/problems straight away.
Live chat and phone call with customer service much better quality than actually employee at shops.

Booked an eye test trough their website (Cambridge-Grafton centre) and all was good. Confirmation received by email and they before (13/10/2013) received a text : Please call us to confirm the booking. So I called them and found out that there wasn't any appointment booked.
So I kindly asked for the next availability and someone told me that he had no idea and he was gonna call me back by 4 p.m. to let me know.
Never received any call back. Very unprofessional. Thank you very much for wasting my time.
Go to Boots instead!
