We visited our local branch in Gainsborough because we wanted to switch to a TSB Save & Spend account. We also wanted to open a Savings Pot, and a Save Well account. With Claire's help we were able to do all this without too stress! She was amazing! Claire was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and most helpful. She also had lots of patience. We never once felt rushed. Every detail was explained thoroughly. Overall our visit was a very positive experience, thanks to Claire.

I decided to give Scan my business when I was looking to upgrade my old laptop. Being as I work away a lot, I wanted something which could not only perform the usual functions expected but also run games to an acceptable standard to provide me with some entertainment.

I finally settled on a 3XS LG17 Vengeance G-Sync but chose a 1070 GPU and 1TB SSHD from the options list.

It took three days to arrive from my placing the order, so although slightly longer than advertised, still acceptable in my view considering I'd asked for a bespoke machine which had to be put together and tested, plus I was kept informed by email so please read this as an observation, not a complaint.

My laptop arrived in perfect condition and very well packaged. Aside from how it works, I'm very impressed with the way it looks. I realise a lot of gamers like fancy lighting and special effects but I'm not really a gamer and am over 50 so the understated, satin black finish is a bonus.

Once powered up, it does everything I expected and then some.... I was worried that the GPU might not be as good as a desktop version of the same spec but I can say that the graphics are superb. Even with the settings maxed out on the games I run (IL-2 will push it hardest) there isn't a flicker. It certainly sucks some air through, so you know it's working and the top left of the keyboard gets a little warm but it doesn't slow it down or become too hot.

Of course, being a laptop the battery power won't last long running games (about an hour, tops) so keep it plugged in for that but for browsing, email and regular computer tasks, you should get double that at least.

I have never dealt with Scan before but will certainly deal with them again when I upgrade our desktop system at home. Their pricing is very reasonable for the quality and spec of the product, plus I had the feeling the people there didn't want to try and pressure me into buying something more expensive that I didn't need.

I read plenty of reviews before placing my order and some of them are far from complimentary or constructive. I can't speak for others of course but for myself, I'd advise anyone reading this to not be put off by the negative comments. I'm glad I wasn't.

Finally. I don't work for Scan, have shares in their company and (as far as I know) I'm not related to anyone there. I'm simply a satisfied and happy customer.
