Don’t be fooled by ‘includes buyer protection’. From my experience they are happy to have dodgy buyers writing completely misleading descriptions and do nothing more that reply to me with a couple of generic and bland messages…. Not much protection.

Sauben smart toilet seats - terrible quality and outrageous parts costs
14 months after we installed the Sauben smart toilet seat the seat cracked in multiple places making it unusable.
Here are the series of responses from Sauben:
1) apologies for the inconvenience our warranty program is 12 months
2) we can replace the whole unit at a discounted price
3) we are waiting for parts to arrive
4) we can sell a replacement seat only for £99
On their website Sauben say their guiding principles include:
best quality and design
ensure that every product is built to last
This toilet seat is clearly a sub-standard design and build and certainly not made to last. And then to charge £99 to replace a substandard part….
I would suggest looking elsewhere if you want a product that is genuinely built to last.

Beyond hopeless.
Trying to activate an eSIM - the QR code is ‘no longer valid’
So try to get help from the website and the chatbot seems to use artificial lack of intelligence. Can’t get through the chatbot to speak to an agent to get the problem solved.
Regretting leaving EE.

Aviva health insurance is completely underwhelming.
The chat bot is hopeless, trying to get through on the phone is utterly frustrating, the email communications are unclear and there seems to be a huge lack of care in claim processing and the information provided.
I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

After sale support non-existent. Hope this review will help others avoid the terrible experience.
I was a sucker for the technology and claims, whether the product works or not I can’t tell you as I still haven’t received it despite being ‘out for delivery’ for over a week.
Novaalab told me to contact the courier. I tried to contact them, they said I needed to contact Novaalab. I’ve since done that twice and I’m sure you can guess how much response I’ve had…. Zero!

We’ve just had delivery of a 4 seater sofa. It’s the second we’ve bought from Roseland and I’m equally as impressed. Really nice, comfortable sofa at a super reasonable price. The first one we bought has lasted v well, hopefully this one will do too.

I wrote a review on 28th October, it’s now December and still not resolved.
Octopus offered me £40 compensation having put me on the wrong tariff, told me it was all fine when I flagged that it didn’t look right and then changed my balance by £800 without warning!
Since then there has been no progress. I’ve had a couple of messages from my ‘complaint handler’ that say, ‘call back’, I call back and then get told I can’t be put through to the complaint handler - what is the point of asking me to call back?
I don’t think I’ve ever come across such slow, inefficient and unresponsive customer service…. And Octopus claim they are great at it!

I contacted Octopus a few weeks ago to say my bills don’t look right since I moved house, they replied and assured me everything was ok. I then phoned them today and they said that my electric is on an outgoing rather than incoming tariff. Not impressive. Then when I asked them to fix it and get me switched to the right tariff they said they couldn’t and would need to contact me tomorrow… I’m not feeling confident.
I also emailed last week as the app wouldn’t let me switch to the EV tariff i wanted to move to. The email response has been ridiculously slow so I called today to be told there is an issue with setting up the connection and they don’t know when this will be fixed.
Seems like things aren’t working very well at Octopus, maybe that explains the slow responses.
Update: I felt a little hopeful after I got the reply from Octopus even though they didn’t make any reference to the biggest issue. Turns out it was misplaced hope, I emailed Alex and unsurprisingly haven’t heard a thing since. I’m not seeing much of the ‘outrageously good customer service’ they claim, ‘outrageously bad’ might be a better description

I would hope that they would check the providers they use but clearly not. Booked express parking Heathrow through them. The service / wait time was ridiculous and the communication was awful. Avoid!!!

I’ve been in touch with VM twice about bad signal in part of our house as they, in theory, offer a signal guarantee.
I’ve twice been told that signal boosters will be sent to me.
One guess how many signal boosters have arrived…. Yep, 0!
Not much of a guarantee if they don’t actually do what they promise.

Advertise a ‘buy 4 get 4 free’ offer on their website but when I got to the shopping cart the offer was not applied.
Messaged them and they said the offer had ended (sent me a copy of the offer terms and conditions)….. if it had ended why still show it on your website? At best a bit incompetent and at worst deceptive!
The Step One reply still doesn’t explain why they had a big yellow box and a message saying, ‘you’ve claimed: Buy 4 get 4’ when there wasn’t an offer running.
I’m amused by them wanting to ensure my shopping experience is a positive one… perhaps avoid having an offer on your website that isn’t actually true / available!!

Ordered a big chill U shaped sofa.
Good points: easy ordering process, flexibility from modular approach, sofa looks nice and is quite comfortable (not amazing but pretty good.
Bad point: the cushions slip quite easily. We’ve had the sofa a few days and I’ve already had to push the cushions back in a few times. I emailed Snug about this and the best that they could offer was to direct me to Amazon to buy non-slip matting. Felt like a bit of an underwhelming reply to what seems like a fairly basic issue with their product.

Ordered a double sink and vanity. The first sink has a scratch on it - alarm bells should have rung then. They initially tried to fob me off with a £30 part refund, in the end they agreed on a replacement. We got and installed the replacement and already the sink is getting small scratch marks on it despite using nothing other than microfibre cloths. This is clearly a poor quality product, particularly frustrating as it is going to be hard to replace.

Don’t go anywhere near them!
Sofa feels like sitting on concrete. They claim the cushions are memory foam which I’m pretty sure is nonsense, fobbed me off with ‘they will soften up’ etc and were completely unwilling to try and find a solution. Very dodgy outfit! I would advise not going near them.

Advertised £100 cash back that wasn’t actually available for the fridge I purchased. When I contacted them they initially offered me £30 and then went to £50. Utterly frustrating. Would recommend shopping elsewhere.

Hired a van from Europcar Nantes that broke down. Took Europcar a long time and many phone calls to find a replacement, once they found it 24 hours later I had to travel for 6 hours including 3 difference taxis and being taken to the wrong place in order to pick up the replacement!! I also had to pay a ferry crossing and of course fuel for the return journey. The replacement also turned out to be a minibus, not a van which made it very tricky to get my wife’s electric wheelchair in to the space.
When I returned the vehicle I was told I would be compensated. That was almost 2 weeks ago. Despite following up with them they have completely ignored me since then! Shocking! Strongly advise avoiding.
