Our experience with Redrow has been pretty good overall. I am thrilled with the Cambridge house we have purchased- it is beautiful and ticks every box.
In terms of the not so good- the buying process itself was rather painful- mostly due to the first buyer of our flat having a few issues with their transaction which then became a catalyst for an irksome series of events. A high level of stress was caused when we were told by Redrow that the chain wasn't going anywhere and we had the threat of losing our plot placed upon us by Head Office, unless we remarketed and found another buyer ASAP. Head Office also lose Redrow points here as originally we were told Redrow would pay for the searches for everyone in the chain to speed things along, which everyone else in our chain had received back in May, but the searches only for our plot never materialised. Then at the end of June we were told that Head Office had decided we would no longer have our searches paid for because we did not complete fast enough through no fault of our own. It was like we were being punished for others in the transaction being slower. We were never told that us getting them was contingent on completion by a certain date. After kicking up a fuss and the help of our usual Sales Consultant, Helen, we were able to get these, but being treated this way did leave a sour taste in our mouths. We were on the ball throughout and it was never us causing the delays. After being instructed to find another buyer we found one quicky, and with Helen's help chasing the other side's solicitors we were then able to get the new transaction exchanged in about a month. However, we could have done without that level of stress and being treated not so well by Head Office. Edit: this is more frustrating as I have found out today our original buyer was actually able to get their transaction completed in August, so without Redrow creating a heck of a lot of unnecessary stress and forcing us to find a new buyer, we potentially could have completed over a month sooner. I have knocked another star due to this pointless stress which soured our experience greatly. It really did strip a lot of the magic out of buying our forever home.
Special shout out for great customer service goes to Helen though for being tenacious, invested in our chain, getting detailed updates and making sure I was aware of what was going on, much more than the estate agents I was paying. They could learn a thing or two from her.
Moving in day was painless, communication was good when keys had been released and the house had been cleaned for us prior to moving in. We had a lovely box of goodies which was a great touch, and a handy information pack waiting for us on the kitchen side.
We had a pre completion visit to demonstrate how things worked in the home, and all of the snags noticed during that were addressed before we moved in. We also paid for a snagging survey shortly after moving in, the issues identified from this were minor cosmetic at most. Redrow's attitude towards fixing them has been great. Once our list had been validated on the Tuesday after moving in, we had someone over on Thursday to start addressing our list. We still do have some outstanding but I am sure they will be resolved and they are not things that affect us day to day. Everyone sent to resolve our snags has been super polite, removed their shoes or worn shoe covers without me having to ask, which is really fantastic. The portal you report snags through is clear and easy to use.
Overall I'm very pleased, we got a stunning, thoughtfully designed home on a pretty estate at a very reasonable price with great incentives.
New builds get a bad rep generally but if you buy any home there will be problems with it- the difference is with a new build is it's all new and anything wrong the developers will fix it, instead of you having to deal with it.

Instantly knock off 2 stars for selling on my info to domestic and general, just get out of here with that noise. Pushy phone calls and emails that I could really do without. You begged for a review, too, stop causing your customers to feel hassled

Rang the doorbell over 5 times within the space of 15 seconds while I was coming downstairs- I heard the first time! Came across as impatient and rude.
They also smelled like rancid BO, take a shower please.

Beautiful, high quality curtains which arrived much more quickly than stated on their website. Cheaper than Dunelm for the exact same fabric and actually had it in stock so we didn't have to wait until November to even be able to order them

Currently embroiled in a property transaction in which I've had the misfortune of my buyer instructing these solicitors.
It's looking like our chain will collapse because of the speed at which they work, which would honestly be overtaken by a sloth. They sit on documents for weeks, answering emails is merely a suggestion to them.
Save yourself the despair of using this dreadful firm. I would also advise against proceeding if someone in your chain instructed them.

My Dyson V10 vacuum failed (it has 2 months left of the warranty.) Contacted customer support and my god it was like pulling teeth, I had to explain what the issue was 3 times because agents seemed incapable of properly reading previous messages. Hours to get a reply, then asked to do a diagnostic page which I already did and it recommended a replacement part (which is out of stock). Agent advised me if my machine is out of guarantee to order the part!!? I'd provided my serial number so they could have easily seen the machine was still within warranty and also a screenshot showing that part was out of stock anyway. They said it had been passed on and someone would contact me, no timeframe for this. They also claimed there were system issues so I would be contacted as soon as they were resolved. I feel thoroughly fobbed and ripped off that I have paid over £300 for an appliance that failed within guarantee and have no idea if/when it will be fixed, and cannot clean my home now.

Ordered on Wednesday through Amazon and the item was supposedly to arrive Tuesday the following week but 48 hours have passed and still no dispatch confirmation. I went to cancel the order as I need a suitcase before I go away next Thursday but I need to wait for them to confirm whether it is cancelled despite it not being dispatched which can take up to 3 working days? I don't want to order a another suitcase if this one is still going to turn up but their poor communication and response times have put me in an annoying spot. I would avoid if possible.
Update: the item was dispatched Friday despite requesting the cancellation and arrived today. It seems good quality but I have to remove two stars for the slow dispatch and difficulty in contacting the company (still didn't receive a response)

We get these boxes whenever they send us a code for 25% off, full price is a bit steep but with that off they're good value. The meals are generally really tasty, there have only been a few that have been a bit disappointing. Very pleased with the amount of veggie options, there's a lot of interesting choices.

Booked a repair through samsung as device in warranty and didn't receive any contact until I emailed them first. Booked a repair the next day, friendly guy turned up but wasn't able to repair as the correct part had not been loaded on the van. Rebooked so that specific part would be on there, was called this morning as he finished at the previous job early due to not having the right part so was asking to come before my slot. Asked if he'd checked he had my part as they had obviously missed one already. Turns out he didn't so this is twice now that they haven't been able to repair my phone which is a bit of a joke, being without a phone for over a week.
Star goes to customer service and the repair guy for being friendly. Hopefully 3rd time the charm else I'm really despairing.
Edit: they had the part this time and were able to complete the repair within the hour. Can't tell my phone has been touched so they are good if they actually have what they need. Sadly lost my data but would have been the case no matter the repair method due to the nature of the fault.

My item was predicted to arrive on Saturday when I placed the order and I received a text to say it would be delivered Monday between 16:00 and 18:00. The item did not arrive. I called the team today and was told that it was cancelled due to no room on the van. I had to call them to find this out. The earliest they can redeliver is Friday which I think is poor service considering it was not delivered through no fault of mine, nearly a week after the date advised when placing the order. The extra star goes to customer service who were quite friendly.

Was a bit worried whether this site was legit or not considering the reviews, however my experience was extremely positive if a little odd. I ordered after 7pm Friday night and paid, never received an email confirmation or dispatch notification. The motherboard showed up in a box from a different company around 3pm Monday which was very strange! Considering the unit was way cheaper and the delivery free for an essentially next day service, I am very happy provided the motherboard works (and it is factory sealed so why wouldn't it?)

The products arrived quickly but I'm not sure what they were thinking with their flavours? I ordered steak pepper and garlic mayo sauce, those two are inedible because they are 'with sweetener' but the sweetener is ridiculously overpowering in what should be savoury sauce. I'm just getting garlicky/peppery sweetness. Disgusting
