Atrocious customer services
Vinted is great when everything works and I have really enjoyed using the app to buy and sell recently. However this entire positive experience has been overshadowed by the lack of customer service support when something goes wrong.
This month a buyer received my item however the royal mail had made an error on their tracking system, suggesting the item had been returned to sender (but it hadn't). I tried telling vinted that the buyer had confirmed in the in-app messages that they had received the item, however Vinted failed to acknowledge this. I also showed Vinted that the royal mail tracking showed the item was delivered to an address in area +120 miles away from where I lived, but again Vinted failed to listen to this and insisted that the royal mail had returned it to me.
Vinted ignored the royal mail tracking error and ignored that the buyer admitted they had the item and closed my case telling me their final decision was made and I would not receive any further help on the matter. I asked for this to be escalated internally but they told me this was their final decision.
I logged a complaint through Resolver and fortunately they managed to reopen the case and I was finally given the money owed by Vinted 3 weeks after the item was delivered.
Mistakes are made which is understandable, however Vinted's handling of the case was appalling and I really hope their customer services team receive more training.
