Order number 8061 - grab a cuppa for this review. Ordered garden furniture. Arrived super-fast but one part of the sofa and a stool were damaged. Emailed Dako, they agreed straight away to send replacements. All going well so far. I then had to continually chase for the replacements. A total of 32 emails between us and a phone call twice a week. I eventually received the replacements, and these were all good. I then asked if they were going to come and collect the damaged parts as a garden sofa is too big for my car to take the dump and I don’t think I should have to do this anyway. They said they were not responsible for the disposal of THEIR damaged goods. I then paid a man with a van £83 to take them. What choice did I have. They are plastic so i couldn’t even smash it up to take in parts to dispose of them. I asked for compensation to cover this. After more emails they agreed to £30 refund. I spent £550. I tried for more but was told no. I then had to chase with more emails and 2x phone calls for the refund which I eventually got. To my surprise, I was refunded £50 and I thought, ok well they have obviously decided with all the hassle to do this, and I decided at this point not to write a review. To my absolute astonishment I received and email from Dako today to say they had refunded £50 in error and can I send back the £20!!! I have deleted this email and straight to Trustpilot and Google Reviews. I laughed. I cannot believe I have been asked to refund them £20!! Maybe they will need to email me 32x times and call me 18 times before I respond! Never again and I am a savvy shopper, and I went to Trustpilot to see the reviews before I ordered. I have given 2 stars as I do now have a full set of what I ordered. I am a Customer Services Manager and have been for 39 years. Perhaps they should employ me to train on the correct way to deal with this!
