I bought an RF room thermostat, made by Drayton.

My intention was that it be a dedicated control for an infant's bedroom, to ensure that the room stayed at a safe, comfortable temperature during winter. I am a gas engineer. It was a complete waste of money and time!

Once installed, the stat refused to pair with the sender. After much effort, my son in law managed to do this. But would this thing simply act as a room thermostat? No, of course not! That would be too simple, wouldn't it? There are innumeranle options mentioned in the instructions, but nothing that would make it do what it is supposed to do! So we contacted Drayton's technical support department. In common with most tech support people, they failed to say anything useful, to the extent that it became worse, randomly switching the heating on and off, even for as little as 30 seconds, during which time no difference in temperature could have happened.

My next step is to uninstall it, fit a real, hardwired room stat and never buy from Drayton ever again.

Although they replied to the above, making sympathetic noises, it did nothing to improve my experience and waste of money on their useless product!

The coffee is fine, although I have only had the 'basic' product.

I cancelled an inadvertent subscription. It looks simple! But tap that option and they refuse to do anything, until you have blocked them at your bank or card provider. There's no good reason for that; they likely think that if they are difficult, you will just keep the subscription.

I will never buy from them again!

I can only praise this optician! All staff are pleasant, friendly and, most importantly, very professional!

Amazon delivery service is truly awful! They never follow delivery instructions, often just drop parcels over the 2m high gate, or leave them in full view of the street and almost never simply knock, even when it is obvious that I am in! Clearly, Amazon overworks their people. But consistent, blatant disregard for anything but dumping the parcel is unforgiveable! Typically, the driver will record a lie, claiming that it was left in a secure place or handed to the customer! Try to complain and the system is designed to fend you off. They are a load of rubbish! But of course, I am just a customer and count for nothing.

The offer was good and the delivery really quick!

WOB sent me three books. Two of them were in a really disgusting condition, in that I had to clean the covers before I could bear to handle them! Is it a website or a junk sale? I think the latter.

In trying to review sanlidaarchery.com, I found that this business is new to Trustpilot. Trying to add this business proved useless, as Trustpilot rejects all versions of the url that the Trustpilot site recommends trying! On trying to seek help on this, Trustpilot rejects my request, because it demands a url, which it rejects! A perfect, circular pit of idiot technical despair!

They responded, see below, saying that the business to be reviewed needs a functioning website. Which they do have. Also a link was provided, to contact Trustpilot, as if they didn't already know of the issue! The link took me back to the 'help', which had already rejected me because the url was rejected.Tech people aren't of this world. Clearly!

The result? Silence from the tech 'help' at Trustpilot. Clowns!

The appliance was delivered promptly, easy to install and use, and washes really well!

A O is your best mate when you're buying, and you'll have a good impression if the appliance is perfect. If it isn't perfect though, don't expect the sale of goods act to protect you! They 'need to verify the fault' and will hear no objection, like your right to reject the appliance. The tumble dryer I bought arrived faulty; the door wouldn't stay shut. So clearly AO treats its customers as idiots or liars - how many of us can reliably identify a door not staying closed? So, someone comes round eventually and repairs the fault and having 'accepted' a repair, the appliance can no longer be rejected, legally.

After this review was published, they asked, through Trustpilot, for more detail. The summary is above and, I believe, pretty clear. The query was obviously a pretense at customer care; they could easily have just called me.

Customer care? NO: SELF INTEREST! Will I buy from them again....why on Earth would I?

WOB always please. The service is quick, the books well packaged and, in my own experience, always in good condition.

The books were in really goog condition and they arrived quickly, packaged well! Perfect!

I went in for leather walking shoes. They seem unpopular, so I ended up with trainer types instead. And trousers and top..! Some prices are too tempting!

The staff were spot-on; friendly, helpful and organised. Maria served me and was super!

Merlin is expanding. A real sign that customers, such as me, return. They keep a good level of stock, too. When I have had an issue, as will always happen, they handle it in a positive, helpful manner and resolve it! Not many issues, of course! I have bought most of my kit from them and intend to continue as a customer! Thoroughly recommended.

Smartseal deliver within a couple of days and the block paving sealer hives a really good finish.

Last week, a delivery man from DPD tried to enter my daughter's property whilst she was alone, claiming that he must take a picture of the parcel in the property, because that was DPD's protocol. She refused him access, so he left with her parcel. He delivered it three days later, damaged and left in full view of the street, by the gate. My emails to Elaine Kerr, the CEO, went unanswered. My daughter's complaint was poo-pooed and then ignored. Draw your own conclusions about DPD!

I submitted a scathing review of Dreams (which business I would never, ever patronise again!) a few months ago. I logged-in to Trustpilo today. Guess what? No Dreams review! If reviews are 'curated', what is the point of Trustpilot?
