A basic bank often routes you to long phone queues or automated bots. Your fee ensures you can reach us when you need us.
📲Continuous App Development: The fee funds our team of engineers and designers who are constantly adding those premium features—like goal setting, chore integration, and new security updates—that make our app the best financial tool for your child.

Great features, no so great handling disputed charges

The interface is simple to use. The ability to view transactions, get alerts, and transfer money is seamless. The feature side is nice, however, the app lacks in handling fraud or unauthorized purchases. There should be a seamless way to click and dispute charges. Currently, you have to submit a message to customer service, then wait for an auto-generated reply. The first message I sent was not answered, but the second message I sent was replied to the next day.
I’ve spent weeks trying to resolve this issue. Banks and credit unions handle these types of issues immediately and with less friction.
The app is great if you never have fraud or suspicious charges. Although, the block card feature did prevent future fraud charges, there’s still the issue of working with customer service for a credit of funds.

Helping my daughter become a responsible adult!

Helping my daughter become a responsible teenager and teach her good habits with saving/investing money. Also, making it easy for her to understand that money is a means of exchange for spending her time doing something and that it doesn't just magically appear whenever she needs it, lol.

Painfully Slow Payment Transfers to Children’s Accounts

Payment transfers are almost immediate from my checking account but are painfully slow to transfer to children’s accounts. Inexcusable in this day and age of instant payment transfer. Will probably go with Venmo after my son’s 13th birthday which is the only prerequisite for that payment method. Tired of getting alerts for a problem with my payment method when Acorns doesn’t seem to have an issue withdrawing funds, like I said almost immediately

Transfers made through a linked bank account can take approximately 2–3 business days to fully process and appear in your Acorns Early account. During this time, the funds may already show as withdrawn from your bank account while the transfer remains in flight to us.

If you would prefer funds to be available immediately, we recommend using a debit or credit card, as these payments are processed into your account instantly.

We were unable to locate your account using the information provided through TrustPilot but we would like to help ensure everything is processing as expected with your account and look into these alerts.
