I made on offer on a property which we had viewed,which was £7000 above asking price .Thought was a good offer. I was contacted the following day i think the 2nd February 2022 by the agent who coincidently did not do any research on the property she was selling as she could not answer any questions regarding the property , all we got was " i will find out for you" not good enough you should know simple questions about a property. Back to my offer. My Offer was declined, however when the agent rang me and asked whether or not i wished to increase my offer to the £32000 the vendor was looking for i simply replied was there any other offers on the table , which she replied NO... so i politely said well i am not going to increase my offer, however if there was to be a higher offer submitted to let me know and then i may consider increasing my offer to secure the property to which she replied that she would do.

Fast forward to the 9th February 2022 , still no reply from Alex Hudson so i rang them.

The agent informed me that the property had been sold . I was disgusted the they had not had the courtesy to contact me to inform if i wished to increase on the current offer on the table . Disgraceful Practice. Where is the integrity in that .

If i was a Vendor i would be mortified if i thought my agent had not gone back to see if they could achieve more money , money i was missing out on.

Never use this agent , Deceitful , Dishonest & Underhand that should be there MOTO.

What an excellent team! Jennifer and the team are amazing to work with, they are so supportive and efficient. Buying through Alexander Hudson was a wonderful experience. As first timers they were always on hand to take our queries and the planning & care that went into any viewings was above & beyond.

Alexander Hudson are like no other estate agent we have ever worked with ! We bought our first house in 1977 and have changed property a good few times since then. I wish that we had these guys to work with every time. They are professional, friendly, helpful, very knowledgeable, nothing is too much trouble and no question is too silly. With their help, we have sold a property from way out of area as easily as if we lived there. And all of that with Covid restrictions as well. We knew as soon as we met Alex that he was the man for the job! This was quite an emotional sale for us, as it was my late mothers property. Alex and his team handled everything so respectfully and professionally. They made us feel that we were selling the most important property in our area, they were that profesional.They were always there and available whenever we needed any reassurances , information or guidance. Poor, poor communication and service. The first property we tried to view we didn't get a response. The second property we requested a viewing online. After no response for two days we called up the office where we were informed that they hadn't received our viewing request. We were offered a slot 3 days later which we accepted. The confirmation of our booking was sent to my email address, which incidentally wasn't given over the phone so must've been on their system after all. When we turned up for the viewing information was very limited as to the property and surrounding area. We received an email the morning after our viewing informing us that we had until noon to submit best and final offer (after being told the day before that the family were in no rush). We duly submitted our offer via email. After two hours we had to call the office again to see if they'd received our offer as we received no confirmation email. The day after, we did receive an email saying that the decision wasn't going to be made by the sellers until after the weekend. On Monday afternoon we hadn't heard if our offer had been accepted so emailed them - no response. Just out of curiosity and a feeling that we had, we drove past the property and there was a 'sold' sign outside of it. No courtesy email to say that our offer hadn't been accepted. Strange that within the space of one day an offer has been accepted and a 'sold' sign erected immediately. Unprofessional company.

As first time buyers during a very challenging market, we had lots of bad experiences with other estate agents and were close to giving up when we viewed a house through Alexander Hudson. Alex went above and beyond to help us secure the house, and although problems arose further up the chain, the team worked together with us and our sellers to ensure completion. Highly recommended - thank you for your help!

Firstly Alexander discussed my needs and priced the property accordingly with a rationale as to why. The sales particulars were very well done with a floor plan and beautiful photos.

After securing an offer Jenny was then indispensable in facilitating the progression of the sale. Several issues that arose were dealt with in a prompt, professional and friendly manner. I felt better knowing Jenny was in my corner.

Jess also was so friendly and helpful.

From the first meeting with Alex we felt very confident that we had made the right choice in listing our home with them. All three were conscientious, organised and approachable. What really felt different from previous estate agents I have used is how proactive they were in ensuring the entire process of moving went ahead as smoothly as it could.

Alexander Hudson Estates had our property on the market within 48 hours and sold within 2 weeks. The photographs were fantastic and the marketing strategy enabled us to accept an offer in excess of the asking price. They were also the agents for our onward purchase of our forever home.
