If only the stars had a minus option.

Came home from work at 6:10pm to be locked out of my apartment. Alex Neil visiting without any notification through illegal entry and engaging an additional lock on the way out. They blamed the landlord, claiming he said the property was vacant, despite having my rental agreement with Alex Neil direct, and them clearly not checking any records in advance or sending me any notification of the visit. I call and the office is closed, I have no where to stay for the night. I called a lock smith to gain entry (legally fine in this situation), to have Alex Neil string out a chain of emails trying to negate the expense including threating illegal forced entry and that I'd have to pay for the privilege. After consistently trying to make the payment dependent on non legal requirements and sending me a non related part of the contract regarding tenants changing keys and me having to personally invest over 10 hours of my time and other penalties, they sent me the money for the lock smith and £50, which is the minimum I would have got if it went to the ombudsman. Landlords and tenants should stay well clear of this agency. If there's any challenges to this, I am happy to provide the full emails to validate everything. Most concerning is that the majority of this was done by the same person who they have as the official complaints escalation contact (Rebecca).

Flat evaluation cancelled 15 minutes before the appointment. No warning, no apology - just a few passive-aggressive comments. Brilliant service. Maybe you should train your employees how to speak since they are losing customers in a broad daylight.

Phoned regarding a valuation, got a call back from an extremely verbose young woman who had so much to say for herself that she hardly stopped for a breath! TOLD me she will get someone there that afternoon to take photographs? er hello: a) how about asking what is a convenient date for me and b) I did not appoint you so a bit soon to be talking about photographs? Declared herself to be 'better educated' and throughout her inane rhetoric lost sight of the one fundamental fact, that she does NOT own the property, the homeowner does and therefore has a vested interest in the conversation. I hope the calls are recorded so someone senior might provide her with some much needed 'education' on civility, courtesy and people skills. I will not be using this company as I do not wish to deal with people like her, she is not a good ambassador for the company.

Matteo helped sell my flat in Canada Water. He is highly experienced and proactive, he managed to secure me a decent offer that was better than another agency had offered. The offer came in within 2 weeks of the property going on the market, and achieved completion in 3 months! Matteo was very friendly and helpful throughout the process. I would definitely recommend Alex Neil to anyone looking for an estate agency in the docklands area :)

I viewed a flat I loved, and despite the seller’s initial reluctance, Andrew’s persistence made it happen, and I was able to complete the purchase last week. AVOID at any cost! Very rude and unprofessional team!!! Any landlords please stay away! We have made a big mistake signing up with this agency. Renewable fees for an existing tenant are rip off (over £1000 for 1 bed flat) when any other high street agency will charge £200-£300. Communication with the team has a very unfriendly tone, always referring to their terms and conditions!

Hard working estate agents. Getting a buyer is only half the work. Getting the buyer and their solicitors to complete on time is another challenge. Maciej and Georgia ensured the whole sale process went through as smoothly as possible.

Awful experience in trying to get help for selective licensing. As property managers I find it incredible that they don't know what to do and how to do things. Sent information that was completely wrong and unhelpful. Main person seems to have gone off on leave and no one else seems to be part of the property management team. Cannot get through to anyone - do they only employ one person? Hopeless!

Sufaida Bibi was very helpful to me despite the landlord! She listened to me with care and consideration and made me feel much less anxious about my move. She went out of her way to ensure that my home was still my home even though I was leaving and made sure the landlord did not overstep the boundaries and that I felt safe.

Safaida & Joshua are very efficient and responsive staff of Alex Neil property management team. They looked after our property and our tenants with great care in the past two years. We are impressed by their expertise and outstanding professional performance in property management.

Sufaida and Joshua have been great over the past 14 months - prompt help and relentless work to support property management needs in the flat I was renting!

We bought a property through them and it was one of the worst experiences we've had.
The estate agent didn't know anything about the property when we initially visited, hid information from us, mislead us throughout the whole process and offered no support whatsoever.
All the care about is the money and they'll hide information from you in order to make as much as possible.
The estate agent would not show up for appointments and their manager was rude and unprofessional. I tried getting in touch with their head office, but the area manager is equally rude and incompetent.
When dealing with the office manager (Matteo) he was pushy and unprofessional.

They really ruined what should had been an exciting process for us, will never use them and I highly advise against doing so.

We recently sold our flat through Alex Neil Canary Wharf, and were very happy with the service.

We had previously listed with another agent who had multiple viewings, but we never got an offer. Within less than 2 weeks of the property being listed with Alex Neil, we had accepted an offer. Unfortunately that fell through, but we quickly got another offer. Alex Neil did a great job with the marketing and viewings.

It was not a straightforward sale, but Maciej and Georgia did everything they could to get it over the line. We are so grateful it all worked out in the end!

Joshua Lessore (Property Coordinator) took the trouble to find the most cost effective (and best) solution for a recent problem at the flat they manage for me. Other people might have chosen the easiest for them. Not Alex Neil- they always do the right thing.

My first time dealing with Alex Neil and I was APPALLED by my experience working with [Agent M].

Had a viewing booked for 10.30am on Sat 18/02 and I emailed 10.15am to inform [Agent M] I was on my way. I then had a few missed calls after which I called back and was connected to [Agent G]. [Agent G] told me the seller had accepted an offer so the viewing was no longer on. In addition, she said [Agent M] mentioned I had in previous instances not turned up for viewings anyway, and that he had been trying to call me the day before to let me know the viewing was off.

What accusations these were! First of all, I had NEVER cancelled or not turned up for any viewings arranged. In fact it was [Agent M] / the vendor who had to rearrange viewings multiple times due to the vendor being on holiday or changing the viewing time last minute.

Secondly, I had received NO missed calls OR texts OR emails from [Agent M] to call off the viewing. Clearly [Agent M] did not make any effort to inform me in advance. We had been exchanging emails but he did not even see fit to send me an email about the cancellation. It was lucky that I live 20 minutes away, can you imagine if I had travelled far from elsewhere in London, how I would have felt?

I was fuming when I heard everything on the call and this really reflects on the lack of professionalism of agents at Alex Neil. I had emailed and attached all screenshots to [Agent M] and [Agent G] already. I do not intend to do any searches through you guys anymore and hope other people steer clear as well. Save yourself the trouble.
