We can confirm that we did return your call and provided the service history as requested. During that conversation, you were offered the opportunity to place a fully refundable deposit to secure the vehicle while you made your decision. This was made clear to you on more than one occasion. Unfortunately you declined to do so, and in the meantime another customer proceeded with a purchase and left a deposit, securing the vehicle.
We always advise customers travelling a distance to place a refundable deposit to avoid disappointment, and that option was available to you throughout. We are sorry you missed out on the vehicle on this occasion and wish you well in finding a suitable car.

If I could give no stars I would, to start with after talking on the phone and arranging to come a view car, paid a deposit to reserve it, went to pay with credit card no don't take them, would have thought they'd have mentioned that in all the phone calls they had had with other half. Phoned bank takes 24 hours to set up bank transfer as we don't do online banking. Managed to phone daughter and she done a transfer for us, went to pay the rest with cash, they then told us there is a 2% charge for cash, we had a moan about that, fair enough they squashed the 2%. Then when all payment sorted they went to hand over paperwork OMG no V5, really! Because of this they said we will pay the £25 and send off for it for you, because of this we will have to tax it for you you just need to fill on a DD form. which is annoying because we always pay all at once. Fast forward 4 weeks still no V 5 this is costing us money each day to park Car as we are a permit parking Zone and without V5 we cannot purchase a yearly permit. Phoned DVLA the said there was no request for a V5 for our car it was still registered to dealership. Phone Alisons got the it takes 4 - 6 weeks . Advised him I had checked with DVLA and there was no request there. He said I will check with Admin to see when it was sent and get back to you. Obviously that never happened. Fast forward another 2 weeks this now takes us to just over 6 weeks. I phoned Alisons had a go he said it was being processed at the end of March!! We purchased car 28th Feb. This was now end of April beginning May. Phoned DVLA they checked again no V62 anywhere in building to ask for new V5 to be issued, they advised me to get a form and send off myself. So now I am fuming, I phoned Alisons I was put on hold for 3mins when the man finally came on phone I said to him that the company is a joke and he has done nothing but lie to me, he said I have just spoken to DVLA and it's being sorted. I then said to him well that was quick because I was on hold for 20 mins to talk to someone because they were busy, you've managed to do it in 3 mins. I told them I shall be sending off the V62 form my self and requested the £25 it cost to do so. (Don't expect to see that) he said don't do that because it will hold everything up. I told him once again it was a disgusting firm and after sales was terrible. Phoned DVLA told them he what he said and that he just phoned them, she said there is no logged call from them and no matter what he said she advised me to send form. I filled in form took it to post office to get PO and enclosed a letter about the company and the fact they hadn't notified them about sale. I did actually say it was a matter of urgency as by now we had paid 7 weeks of daily permit parking. Guess what 1 week later the V5 arrived. So don't trust this firm to tell you the truth.
After reading your reply , I disagree I'm assuming someone must have told my husband that credit cards were ok because he ask me to go to the bank and check the the amount we wanted to pay with it was ok and we wouldn't run into any problems. We do not do online banking so we would of had to organise something before we travelled up to you.
As for the V5 every time I phoned you the same old 4 to 6 weeks excuse came out. Are you then calling the DVLA liar's then when they said they have no record of you phoning or of you submitting a V62. On that I shall be contacting the DVLA to see if they are returning the £25 I had to pay for the new V5 which you had supposedly paid as well. I mean I have the receipt for my payment.

Regarding payment method, during your initial telephone conversations it was agreed and confirmed that the purchase would be made by cash or bank transfer. Credit card payments constitute a credit agreement and are not accepted as a standard payment method, which is consistent with our policy. We regret that this caused inconvenience on the day, though we note the transaction was completed successfully.
With regards to the V5, we want to assure you that the transfer of ownership was submitted to the DVLA promptly following the sale on 28 February. DVLA processing times are unfortunately outside of our control, and we apologise for any frustration caused by the delay. We are pleased that the V5 was ultimately received and that the matter has been resolved.
We always aim to provide a straightforward and transparent service, and we are sorry that on this occasion you felt that standard was not met. We wish you well with your new vehicle.

Ellie was a fantastic down to earth saleswoman. Honest and upfront about the car as it had just come in and not had its pre inspection yet. Let me check the car out in private from the moment I drove in, let me take the car out on a test drive privately, just let me do my thing until I agreed it was good to go. Addressed any minor issues, sorted the part ex, MOT, even drove me to the local post office to tax the new car when the Gov website had issues. Everything was easy thanks to Ellie. Also give thanks to the other guys in the office who addressed some hesitation I had after one ladies experience flagged up, and they went above and beyond what they're obliged to. Had the car a week now and it's absolutely perfect so far. If any issues were to arise im sure they will come in handy. Thank you all.
