Kardia Mobile quit working and replacing the battery did not resolve the issue. I had been using the device on two different telephones with no issues. Alive Cor customer service could only focus on the compatibility of my telephone (one telephone was compatible and one was not -- but prior to the device malfunction, it worked equally well on either telephone). Customer service would not even consider the possibility that the Kardia Device was not working. Dealing with the Customer Service team was a complete waste of time. I purchased a new Kardia Mobile device and it works just fine on either of my telephones. So, guess what?
It was the device that had failed!!!!!!!!!!! Why not just acknowledge that the Kardia Mobile device may only last a couple of years.

Im now trying to return the item, (I literally received it today), BUT its impossible to speak to any customer service depart and theyre not responding to numerous emails. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

My doctor recommended this device following major surgery which affected my heart causing AF. I have not been able to record a reading: I get a report of 'unreadable due to interference'. Guest user, sitting in the same place as me, are able to record 'normal sinus rhythm'. I've asked KardiaMobile to refund me. I've had this device for 6months plus - it's useless to me.

I have a Kardia mobile. Every time I use it I get " sinus rhythm normal'.
So nothing wrong.
Not so.
I test with an identical one , but which belongs to NHS and for which they pay a monthly amount.
Result.. Ventricular ectopic heartbeats.
So you only get the truth if you pay more.
That's deliberately misleading.
I would say it's a disgrace

I have reported this company to the regulatory body MHRA. This is because I bought the KardiaMobile 6L
2 years ago and assumed like many people that it was pretty accurate. However, recently I had some palpitations and took a reading which said I had gone into Atrial Fibrillation, alarmed by this, I took another reading which gave the same result. I then asked AliveCor for a clinical review which cost £10.00 for each review. I was shocked to receive the results which said I a had PVCs. I contacted AliveCor for an explanation as to these conflicting results. To date after weeks of endless emails and phone calls to them, I am at a loss. Their reply is that my case is being reviewed by their internal clinical team. The stress and anxiety caused by this situation has been intolerable. I have now had to pay hundreds of pounds to see a private Cardiologist to clear-up the KardiaMobile/Clinical Review conflict. The result is that the clinical review is correct and the machine is wrong. I have FINALLY had a response from AliveCore confirming that their Kardia algorithm incorrectly read my PVCs as associated with Atrial Fibrillation. They apologised for any inconvenience that this has caused. For my distressing experience with this matter, Inconvenience is a total understatement.

Quality of ecg excellent but clinician review wrong. I had clear ventricular ectopics about every 4th beat and was reported as normal. Don’t waste money on clinician review

I've had this device since the pandemic and until now , unquestionably trusted in its accuracy but now not so sure.
I would have given the device 5stars but recently i've been getting bizzare readings which it simply designates as tachycardia or normal sinus rhythm.
I therefore sent several traces to Alivecor clinician review (£9.99 each), which reported all as normal sinus rhythm (which was clearly incorrect) and it seemed the report is automatically generated by a machine not a human to the unsuspecting 'lay' public.
Alivecor support did not respond to my concerns regarding this service.
As its a regulated medical device, concerns can be reported to the food and drug administration (FDA) via a form on their website which consumers and patients can also submit ,which I intend to do.

I ordered a clinician review an ECG which clearly showed ectopics and was told it was normal sinus rythmn Lol, all the other times where I've had a review the clinician has been pretty good but the one in the Netherlands is very poor certainly wouldn't use them again I won't be paying for any more services from here because the clinician reviews are clearly wrong, as some suffers from Wolf Parkinson White syndrome and atrial fibrillation I would've expected someone who was a clinician to at least be able to recognise ectopic or extra beats within a ecg rhythm strip, this is quite easy to do because they're divided up into block which indicate timings I think your clinician needs to go back to school

I used the KardiaMobile 6L once or twice and now it doesn't work. I've tried to contact their support staff but have not heard back from them. I've replaced the battery, read the articles they post but it still does not work. They must have experienced a number of complaints too attempt to resolve their problems with the unit. Not worth the money and problems

I'm delighted with the Kardia 6l device and app, but the clinician's reports are disappointing. They seem cut-and-paste, and fail to mention the first degree av block (and the sub-60 heart rate noted on the ecg).

I tried Kardia years ago when it was newly released. It could not distinguish PVC's from AFib so I stopped using it. Wasted a lot of time and money. Fast forward and my husband also has PVC's, however he also needs something that can reliably record his heart rate. I decided against the seemingly finicky 6L and got another Kardia mobile. I figured that in all this time there were improvements plus Kardia advertises they can now distinguish between PVC and AFib. He used it several times, several hours apart, and the recording indicated AFib... I said not possible, but just to be sure, sent it off for their "professional" reading. Came back from one of their cardiologists verifying AFib. This was very alarming, so I immediately sent my husband to urgent care for an EKG but he does not have AFib. Printed the Kardia report and took it to his PCP and Cardiologist today to get their opinion and do more testing. Per his doctors, the Kardia report did NOT show AFib!! It showed PCV's. The Kardia heart specialist did not read the report very closely, if at all. However, the Kardia also said his heart beat is normal and guess what? It is not! It is half the 70 bpm reported. He is at home now awaiting word on a pacemaker procedure. I can forgive the device for perhaps not performing as hoped--it is after all a mere single lead. But when the so-called expert also weighs in and verifies incorrect readings, what is the point? Tried to contact Kardia to discuss and it is hopeless. IF you are tracking AFib and nothing else, it might work for you. But you are better off going to an urgent care and getting an EKG. We are taking it back to the electronics store and hope they will refund our money.

So glad I read the negative reviews!
I kind of thought this was going to be some kind of scam or defective product and of course according to the reviews that I've read it is. Plus it goes without saying that the customer service would suck as these days all customer service sucks and no company ever stands by their warranty. According to the reviews I've read this is also the case with this product. Hopefully this will be a lesson to more and more people to read the reviews before you buy something. Since I've started reading reviews before I buy, it has saved me a s*** ton of money and wasted time. Don't read the positive reviews either as most of them are fake and paid for, the negative reviews always tell it all. Thank you to everybody that left your negative reviews to save the rest of us for making the same mistake.

This picks up on my Afib so no complaints there, however it always records that my BPM is about double what it really is, this morning it said my BPM was 149 when in reality it was just 64, this could be quite scary for some folk, I know to check my pulse manually each day, so I know exactly what it is.

Please do not rely on this for accurate diagnosis. I had several traces come back on it saying 'atrial fibrillation'and another trace stating 'atrial fibrillation'. I sent these off for their Cardiolgist's Report one came back saying yes to 'atrial fibrillation' and the other Report came back stating Atrial Fibrillation with rapid ventricular response'. Understandably this was all incredibly worrying and I was referred straight away to a top London cardiologist who specialises in rhythm disorders. Having had the appropriate and thorough tests done neither of these traces were actually atrial fibrillation!!! It caused us a HUGE amount of stress which could all have been avoided. Whilst I am sure this device has its uses it can also cause untold distress with inaccuracies. I am aware it states on Kardia that 'This report does not replace medical advice please seek professional assistance' etc etc which IS good advice. All I am saying is this device clearly is far from accurate all the time despite it's claims of 94% accuracy.

The device is useful and easy to use.
However, the website does not make it clear how to use KardiaCare, for which it charges £99.99/year. Neither does it make clear that once used, it will keep on charging this fee annually, without any notice of renewal.

I used this technology as recommended by my cardiologist as I had a rapid heartbeat at a rate of 230bpm+ for lengthy episodes at a time, I needed readings for an accurate diagnosis. I sent several readings to my cardiologist, I got the diagnosis i needed and had the procedure i needed a couple of months later. Easy to use and share the readings. I would highly recommend this piece of technology. I am now living a normal life again.
