Disappointing
Purchased a watch from the Ringwood store earlier in the week. Placed the order on Thursday 3rd, paid for the watch. Funds taken from my credit card same day, received a message to say ‘we’re getting your order ready’ then Saturday 5th told the watch had been sold.
Yes, the one I had actually paid for!
Requested a refund but as yet this has not been received and no pending transactions.
Really expected more from this jeweller.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the situation. Please be assured that the refund was issued on Saturday and typically this takes 3-7 days. I can see from my end that it was issued on the 5th and the refund was received and sent on the 6th.
Just to clarify, your original order was placed via our online platform on Friday, and as soon as we received it on Saturday morning, we then contacted you to inform you that unfortunately, the watch had just been sold and we would issue an refund immediately alongside proof of refund being issued at 1.51pm. We regret the timing of this overlap but believe we acted accordingly as we immediately issued the refund with our apologises on the day.
We understand your disappointment, but we kindly ask for your patience as a review by Sunday may be a little premature given the standard processing time for refunds.
If you have any further concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. I have also requested more information on your review to ensure you have received your refund as our bank is under the impression its been received your end.

Great services and great staff
I went to get welded bracelet firstly for myself and then for my daughter. Selection of bracelets and great attention given to us by Jade and Laura. I have worn my bracelet now 2 weeks and it’s great. I highly highly recommend Allum and Sidaway for this service and also recommend their piercing service too…. I have had numerous piercings done.

I ordered a Tissot watch online, incredibly helpful staff who phoned to check something immediately after purchase. Watch arrived less than 24 hours later, beautifully wrapped and boxed with a handwritten note. Impeccable service, thank you very much. Will definitely use again.

Really bad experience
I don’t feel well writing a bad review , but unfortunately this company really deserves it. I have ordered a Tissot watch from them, only because they had option for next day delivery, while from the original Tissot website you have to wait 2-4 days for it. The watch was priced the same as everywhere else £415( not being discounted, or mentioned anywhere that it is pre-owned). I received it very quick, good packaging and what to see the watch was without any stickers and with plenty of scratches. I have other Tissot watches at home, which I used for 2-3 years and even they don’t look so worn and scratched as the watch I received. I wrote them an email with the photos attached and they offered me to return this watch and receive another one, even though on their website they didn’t had anymore from this style so I believe they were planning only to replace the strap and send me the same,thus I requested a refund. I’ve returned them the watch and I had to pay £10 for that from my own pocket, even though the fault was not mine that they’ve sent me an used watch and they never offered at least to cover their return. At least they refunded the money quick, but that’s definitely not a professional company and neither it is their customer service. If they want to sell something pre-owned they should not sell it on the price of a new watch and they should mention somewhere that it is a pre-owned watch, additionally they should post pictures of the defects so customers know what they are buying.

We want to assure you that the Tissot watch you received was brand new and not pre-owned. We understand that receiving a scratched item is unacceptable, and we are currently investigating how this could have happened. Our quality control process is very stringent, and this review is not reflective of our standards. Occasionally stock will receive slight scratches in display and upon receiving the item back we do believe the watch in question would fit into that category.
Our intention was to replace the watch with a brand new one from the supplier (which was on order from receiving your first email) in the hope to rectify the situation, but also that is absolutely fine that you had changed your mind in which we were more then happy to oblige and send you a swift full refund.
Regarding the return cost, we regret any frustration this may have caused and we would like to reimburse the £10 return shipping fee to your account immediately. We value our customers and strive to provide the best service possible, and we are sorry that we fell short in this instance. Please contact us via info@allumandsidaway.co.uk for us to be able to take the details we need in order to do this.
We appreciate your feedback and are taking steps to ensure such issues do not occur in the future. If you have any further concerns as well as refunding the refund discussed previously please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly.
David (Plymouth) was AMAZING!!!
David (Plymouth branch) could not have done more for myself and my fiancé!!! From start to finish he provided first class customer service! He worked with us and our budget and went above and beyond to find what we wanted. David was kind, compassionate and so personable. From changing his lunch breaks to being on and off the phone- he couldn’t do any more, a 5 star experience. We will absolutely be back again! Thank you, David!

A 10 year olds experience
Hi my name is Megan I’m 10 years old and I had had my ear pierced for my second hole by Nicki in Allum and Sidaway in Gillingham high street. Nicki was very nice and made me feel calm and relaxed while I was having them done and I had a great choice of earrings to choose from. Megan x
