Don’t take this tour. To begin with they don’t explain all the stops you will be making like at a store that sells silver, and the university, and if you book the option without the museum you would think that you go on a different tour bus that skips this part not that you have to wait around while people go in the museum. We were travelling with two bus so I double checked the meeting time and place with one of the drivers and was at the spot at the right time, when I didn’t see anyone there I contacted support right away, when they responded I told them where I was and that I was walking toward their location, they chatted back a forth for a couple of minutes while I was walking and then told me the the bus was leaving. They left me stranded by myself in a strange city, WHO DOES THAT? It’s inhumane. disgusting, and disrespectful. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY.

I do not use to write reviews but it is too grave in this situation.

I booked a 170 euros tour in NY for the Niagara falls and I waited the bus and the bus never passed and they never contacted me.
They proposed me to refund me only 17euros as a commercial gesture.
You should avoid to book with them.
Hope this comment could help other people to make their choice and avoid to lose time and money.

SCAM. DON’T BOOK this company via GETYOURGUIDE. Waste of money!!!!
My family ( 2 adults and 2 kids) booked a bus guide to Montserrat Museum in Spain. We arrived the meeting point on time at 8am there’s no sight of any guide waiting or holding your Amigo flag waiting. We saw two buses and suspended they were your tour bus but the driver and guide ignored us and left even they saw us waving. I called right back to their number but no one answered, then I used chat box in the GETYOURGUIDE app at 0806 and it said we need to wait till 0815 first as the guide/bus might arrive late. Then we waited and contacted again at 0815, I was first challenged by the operator that we went to wrong meeting point as you sent email yesterday 8-9pm changed the meeting point. I were at the right spot and then I was challenged again that the guide had already waited for 5 minutes and claimed they didn’t see us so left which is totally impossible as we were waving hands to two suspected bus drivers at 8am. They never confirmed back whether the buses we saw are there. They just keep blame us not arrive at 0750 am as asked so they had no obligation to rearrange us tour or refund. Totally unacceptable!

Pésimo servicio, contraté un tour a Isla Mujeres que fue suspendido 2 veces por esta empresa, sin explicación. No responden llamadas, mails ni mensajes.

Amigo Tours left us high and dry on a tour we booked with them to see Alhambra while we were in Spain. We included 2 nights in Granada with the specific purpose of touring Alhambra. They canceled on us about 5 days in advance. We immediately checked to see if there was another way to get in, but all tickets were sold out. Please do not use this company!!! They are not deserving of your consideration. They must not take honoring their booking commitments seriously. There was a lot of wasted time and money wasted on this portion of our trip.

I hate this company so much. I booked a tour with them in Mexico City and couldn't make it in time to the meeting spot because our Uber took forever to get to us and right before he reached us he CANCELLED on us. We had to book another and when we got there 5-10 minutes late the tour had already left. I tried calling them to let them know we were coming but they did not answer. I tried getting my money back for MONTHS but they refused and adopted a "not our fault, not our problem" mentality. I would not recommend them to anyone because if something happens that is out of your control they won't care.

This was for Amigo Tours Chichen Itza booked through Viator.com:

I was on my honeymoon and got food poisoning. I requested a refund and was told they need a Rx to issue a refund. I then got one once I got home (because my amoxi that I bought at the gift shop wasn't enough) and it's not "a valid prescription does not cover the requirements for us to justify the absence due to illness". I was bed ridden for 2 days and throwing up and sh**ing uncontrollably. If that's not a reason, I'm not sure what is. There was no way I was going to ride 2.5 hours each way in a cramped bus with the way I was feeling. They just don't care...
F--- this company - DON'T book with them, they WON'T be there if you run into a problem and need to cancel.

London, Houses of Parliament über TUI-Experience-Amigotours-Musement (unübersichtlich, wer ist denn verantwortlich?) gebucht, da woanders schon zum Termin ausgebucht. Dann in London kam die Absage mit den üblichen BlaBla-Begründungen, schuld sind Andere. Ich buche zukünftig direkt.

Son unos estafadores, compramos unas entradas para la Alhambra con más de un mes de antelación, el día de antes nos envían un email recordatorio del día y la hora acordadas. Nuestra sorpresa ha sido presentarnos al punto de encuentro y no venir nadie. Hemos llamado a la empresa y nos dicen que se ha cancelado, sin darnos ninguna alternativa ni solución.
Son unos sin vergüenzas, nos han fastidiado el viaje a parte de ocasionarnos gastos de parking innecesarios. Empresas como estas no deberían existir

Through Viator we booked with Amigo Tours back in July for a tour of the Prado for October. Four days before the tour I discover a message from them buried in WhatsApp (not email, text or phone - all the communication methods Viator usually uses) saying they couldn’t do it. When I phoned Amego to complain I was told that the Manager wasn’t available and was offered lame excuses and apologies. NOT PROFESSIONAL

one of my life the worst experience with amigo tour in cancun to chichen itza. they r fraud , totally scum and cheat.dont buy any thing from them.

We had a tour scheduled, my husband got food poisoning, was up all night vominting, called to reschedule our tour, I was informed that we needed to give 24 hours notice, tried to explain that he became I’ll 5 hours prior to tour. I wanted to reschedule. They refused!!!They took my money 200$. Don’t book with Amigo. They are unprofessional and money hungry.

The worst tour operator ever. We actually didn’t join the tour. We have been waiting for 45 min in front of the Palacio de Bellas Artes, while the meeting point was in the back: we were 6 people that misunderstand the directions, so they weren’t so clear. Anyway, our fault. But even If they had all our contacts (phone & email), nobody tried to contact us. 6 missing people (already paid!!!) and nobody cares. We lost our money, and didn’t join the tour, even of we ask them to reach them with uber.

Bought 2 tours from Klook operated by Amigo tours .Salamanca and Avila tours from Madrid and 2 countries from Barcelona . Salamanca and Avila tour only gave us 2 days notice of cancellation and 2 countries tour from Barcelona no notice at all . We showed up 0630 am at meeting place. Horrible Horrible experience. Don’t. Book with this company will definitely ruin you vacation .

Do not book with Amigo Tours. We scheduled a guided tour three months ago, received a confirmation for our time slot 24 hours before, however, when we arrived on time for the tour, we were told that our tour has been cancelled. No excuses and no solutions were offered. Not sure, we will ever receive a refund for the tickets or taxi.please do not trust Amigo Tours.

Pasamos un excelente día con José y Isaac en un tour a coba y Chichén Itzá, súper interesante y bien simpáticos ambos, el tour fue en español et inglés y tuvimos mucha información acerca de los mayas y palabras nuevas a aprender.

Hicimos el tours de coba en triciclo, fuimos a un cenote y luego Chichén Itzá

Es el tour a hacer si vienen a la zona de Cancún Nos recogieron en el hotel o mejor dicho frente al hotel pero se pasó muy bien en general. Lo recomendamos.

If I could leave zero stars I’d do that. We never made it to this tour because Amigo Tours (the tour company in Mexico that partners with Viator) never picked us up. They promised us hotel pickup said that they would confirm with us 24 hours before our tour which never happened. We booked the deluxe tour, where this was supposed to be included. We waiting outside of the Resort Scerets Moroma from 445 am to 7 am for them to come pick up us and they never showed up. We called 9 times to the number that was on the voucher and no one answered. We called Viator and they were able to reach them (somehow) and Viator told us that they said they came to pick us up and we weren’t there. They also told us that they have VIDEO evidence that we weren’t there. We asked to see this “evidence” but were denied. Viator refused to give us a refund for this awful experience. We had to take a taxi and pay three times as much to see Chichen Itza.

We waited out side with the concierge service from our hotel and we spoke to the hotel staff about this. As soon as we said “Amigo Tours” they laughed at us, saying that they are a known scam in the area and that this is their M.O. All the locals know about these people, so it’s interesting that Viator would not only partner with these type of people, but then SUPPORT THE SCAM and deny a refund. I booked 100 of tours in Mexico a year with my clients as a travel agent and I have never had the customer service or issue that we have had with this provider.

Booked through Viator, the Amigo Tour Mexico trip Puebla, Cholula and Tonantzintla Day Trip on 1/20/23 for 2/6/23— as an add on day to the end of a group trip to Mexico. On 2/4/23 at 2:45 pm CT Amigo called (while I was on the group trip) asking if I could take the trip the day before or after 2/06—could not, bottom line they canceled the trip without explanation from their person who had limited English skills, told me to request a refund. I was in the 24 window to cancel and I did. Got back to hotel, called no one answered, email requesting an explanation, no reply.

Definitely the worst experience in my life.
I had a trip with them at 6 am. They emailed me at 5.35, when of course we were already in the place of pick up after needed to get up at 4am to get there. this how i was treated by this company is absolutly unbelieveable. They dont feel any guilty that they may ruin somebody holiday plans. Their response was absolutly impertient and treated us like a trash not customers.
Didnt offer anything instead or discount or anything to say sorry - that what's normal company do. They send an one sentencje email, which was just an info and sth like "your trip is cancelled but you can go two days later but if you dont like it we dont care its your problem. When i gry to suggest them how it should look like in such circumstances next respond was nearly the same. Rude, impertient, shameless people.
A day before i had a trip with them snorkeling from catamaran, so they took us on catamaran but cancelled snorkeling hahahahaha.
Again same reaction.

Yesterday (28.08.22) we had a tour booking for the Familia Sragada in Barcelona between 6-7:30 PM with Amigotours (which was booked through go city card) but since the direction link which is stated on the confirmation email directed us to a wrong destination (30min far from the original meeting point), we missed our tour and later on when we sent countless email to re-schedule the tour for today, no body unswered to our emails. We need to visit the place today since we have a flight tomorrow but mo body is helping us. Very poor service! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
