I have been very happy with my experiences with Bartley West-I-have had 3 x level 2 surveys done for various properties and gave me much needed additional information to make important decisions. There was always easy, prompt and helpful communication and very thorough reports/photographs with additional support to help me navigate the reports by Peter G.... (surveyor) and fully understand . It has helped me greatly through the process to have advice I have trusted. I have recommended to colleagues and would definitely use again if needed.

Requested a shared ownership valuation at short notice. They came the following day and I had the valuation the following morning. Fantastic communication and speed of service would highly recommend.

I got a number of quotes for a Level 3 Building Survey ahead of my first property purchase. Bartley West were not the cheapest, but they were competitive, in line with the average and you definitely get what you pay for. I decided to go with Bartley West having seen previous reviews and based on efficient communication from the outset, and their availability. I'm really pleased that I did. They were available to carry out the survey almost immediately where other companies had very limited availability. The report came back promptly and was easy to access and read. It was a very thorough report, clearly showing the extent and detail of what had been inspected, which included all of the areas I'd flagged as concerns, and much more. The traffic light system was great for understanding what the biggest issues were alongside so many high quality of photos (including aerial shots). On top of this, the surveyor was on-hand once I'd reviewed the report to discuss the issues raised in more detail which was much appreciated. Adrian was a pleasure to deal with, taking time to explain technical areas and answer all of my extensive questions and concerns. He was knowledgeable, patient, understanding and extremely helpful. Offering guidance on a personal level.
Communication throughout the process with Hayley and Rebecca was positive as well. As someone who works full time in a busy office and can't always take calls, being able to organise everything and communicate mostly via emails was greatly appreciated. And when I did need to call, they were always available and able to assist.

My Level 2 survey report was very thorough, well laid out and easy to understand. The inclusion of photographs illustrating the points raised was very useful. I was somewhat alarmed at seeing the number of urgent issues highlighted but, once I calmed down (!) and looked at it again in the cold light of day, I was able to arrange quotes for work that may be required before completing my purchase. In this respect, I believe the survey has more than paid for itself by enabling me check aspects that I otherwise wouldn't have known about. I will gladly use Bartley West again, should the need arise.

Rebecca and her team were excellent from the start. Always on hand and ready and willing to discuss matters and stay on top of them. Very welcoming and friendly whilst totally professional. We have used them twice now (using them now as I write this review) and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Give them a go. You won't regret it!

I used Bartley West for a Level 3 survey and was extremely impressed with the service from start to finish. The report was incredibly thorough and detailed, with lots of photos for reference, which made the findings much easier to understand.

Ivan, my surveyor, was excellent. The follow-up call was particularly valuable – he took the time to talk me through the findings, explain the areas of concern clearly and offer practical advice on what my next steps should be. Most importantly, I never felt rushed. For those of us who aren’t experts in this field, having the time and space to ask questions and properly understand what the findings actually mean is so important. Ivan was patient, clear and very generous with his advice, and made it clear that I was welcome to contact him again if I had any further questions or wanted to discuss anything in more detail.

I also really appreciated Rebecca’s help in arranging everything. She was incredibly prompt in responding to my requests and made sure that documents I wanted Ivan to review were sent to him ahead of our call. That level of organisation and responsiveness made the whole process feel very smooth.

This was actually my second time using Bartley West, and I received a returning customer discount, which was a lovely touch. A Level 3 survey is a significant expense, but the quality and detail of the report, together with the time, support and advice I received afterwards, made it worth every penny.

I wouldn’t hesitate to use Bartley West again and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a thorough, professional and genuinely helpful surveying service.

Very good experience! Our RICS Help To Buy survey is the last step in our house move so it’s been a breath of fresh air having such a smooth and easy booking process during such a stressful period. They are very reasonably priced and the report was sent through promptly. The surveyor was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions about next steps completing the help to buy repayment application. Would definitely use them again in future. The admin team are also very friendly and helpful, and even offered cancellation slots to see us sooner if we wanted. Thanks to all who helped get this sorted for us so quickly :)

We needed a RICS survey done quickly and contacted Bartley West, who responded very efficiently with a quote and then an appointment within a few days. The communication was fast and efficient throughout, keeping us informed of all stages, even getting responses to emails at 9.30 p.m. (from a person, not a bot!). The report was sent through within 3 days of the survey, which was exceptional.

In these days when you don't often get good service, efficiency and communication it was an absolute delight to deal with them. And the price was very good too.

Have used Bartley West a few times now and always found them to be efficient and very comprehensive detailed reports. I had an exceptional service from Bartley West regarding a building survey in Warfield, Berkshire. I received a reply to my initial contact within an hour, and my survey was ~1 week later which was unbelievably prompt. The survey was incredibly detailed (almost 100 pages) with a summary and photos of pretty much everything, and my follow up questions were answered by the surveyor on the same day I raised them. And through the [short] process I was kept informed of status. Truly remarkable service!
