Battersea old Windsor staff very helpful and listerned to my idea of a ideal cat the website pointed a certain cats the viewing of the cat was short but the process protects the cat after a night of thought a further visit I have a new companion the support towards me and my cat is ongoing and welcome I highly recommend battersea dogs@cats to the wider community looking to rehome

We found all the staff at Battersea Old Windsor helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The
Process of adopting our dog was seamless and their advice invaluable. We highly recommend you consider Battersea for your rescue dog. We don’t live locally to any of the Battersea sites but saw a dog on their website. After completing their adoption application the dog we saw was one that fit our profile. We went to meet her and collected her two weeks later as she was under a course of antibiotics for an ear infection. She is a fabulous dog and we’re so happy we made the trip.

The site at Old Windsor is beautiful and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The dogs are so well cared.

Everyone at Battersea has been brilliant throughout. We are now looking forward to many happy years with our little girl

The experience was very good. We were given all information, medical information and advice on everything that is needed to re home our beautiful little Sparky. We had lots of time to sit and let him familiarise his self with us. We also had a lot of time alone with him. We bonded with him straight away.

Lovely process from start to finish. Couldn’t be more helpful and approachable.
Good care taken of the animals too. Thoroughly checked and medical attention is reassuring.

I visited the online shop to see what I could purchase and donate .. I ordered an iron on badge / pin badge and bandana .. the only thing I cannot find fault with is the pin badge .. the iron on badge had a small amount of glue stuff in the centre so when ironed on the edges curled up .. the bandana I don’t know what sort of animals neck it could fit round although the picture displays a dog wearing one ! .. I am more than happy to donate to this charity , Paul O’Grady who I loved put his name to it , but I don’t like being exploited! , these small items cost £4 to deliver , and came in a large envelope , where a small envelope would of taken them .. it all cost £15 , which I would have happily just donated .. I e mailed them but no reply ! .. I know this charity relies on donations from kind people in order to run , but don’t take the mick !

We are beyond grateful to all at Battersea for letting us have our beautiful little Nellie.They made everything so easy & are on hand with lots of helpful advice .
They do such amazing work & this is our 3rd rescue from them..I would give more stars if I could

We were extremely impressed with the professionalism of all the staff at Battersea. We appreciated all the detailed information about our cat’s background and medical history. We also were so thankful for the food and litter samples as well as some other things that belonged to the cat - blanket and igloo.

I ordered two super cat bowls from them when they came I questioned the size as I wanted wide drinking bowls for my cats as they don't like their whiskas touching the sides . The bowls were small I had mistaken the size given it said 250 ml I thought it was 250mm . Their advert did not state size was volume not width when I questioned the advert for not being clear I got no response , their first email was if I didn't like them send them back and of course pay the postage. Not nice people to do business with I'm keeping to E-Bay money back guarantee

Nice experience and amazing location for the rescued pets

came to see a puppy called pilot at old windsor on thursday 13th june. expectations were high and we were all very excited. we came as requested,as a family,my wife,myself and my 10 yr old autistic son.we were greeted and made welcome.we were shown to a room where we all met Pilot the 7 week old puppy. he was beautiful and we all agreed he was coming home. i mentioned we were getting a cat at the end of july,which did seem to be a problem. the lady advised us to check out there website to see how to introduce cats and puppies. we left after the paper work was done and arranged to pick \pilot up mon?tue. ten minutes later we were told we couldnt have the puppy if we were getting a cat. my son and wife were destroyed my son took it so bad. i was told if we dont have the cat we could have the puppy. i phoned the next day and said no to the puppy.its hardly surprising battersea have so many animals they cant rehome.so very unproffessionaly dealt with. i will never try to rehome any animal from any of these places ever again.the stress on my family that day was unbelieveable. i will never put them through that experience again.the follow up the next day wasnt any better. my advice to anyone wanting a pet is avoid battersea and places like this. choose your own pet

Wonderful experience especially as the final outcome was taking a lovely dog home the same day as visiting !
Staff were very friendly welcoming and helpful Both Emma and Caliph helped enormously with their care knowledge and help ! There was no pressure time wise or how we were feeling Bruno soon gelled with us which was so wonderful and made us very happy
The surroundings to meet Bruno were very relaxing which made this such a lovely time

I adopted Ernie, he was a perfect match for me and the process was easy and I was supported through it all by Sophie who was wonderful. Thankyou

Battersea ask so many questions so that they understand your family and situation perfectly and they know their animals well. They really knew what they were doing when they matched us with our wonderful cat, who settled so quickly that within a week she would jump on any family member’s knee for a cuddle. They provide so much information so that you know exactly what to expect and what you need to do to make your new pet feel at home. When we went to meet our cat the staff were incredibly welcoming and kind (even with my 2 very excitable kids). When we picked her up (we waited a couple of weeks because she had not reacted well to the stress of neutering) everyone was incredibly helpful, providing more info, providing a weeks worth of food and explaining how to wean to a new diet, preparing her for transport and booking a pet friendly taxi and helping us find the best way to put us and the kids in the taxi. They have also been incredibly supportive through the process and afterwards when we had some health worries. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

We cannot fault Battersea's approach to rehoming. Registering your interest prior to looking at the animals means that Battersea knows you, and you don't have to fill in a new form every time you request to adopt. Communication is excellent, and the people on the other end of the telephone are knowledgeable and helpful. The cats are well looked after and the actual adoption process is exciting and efficient. Thank you Battersea for two delightful cats who are settling in very well. We are pleased to know you are there if we need help or advice.

Very efficient caring well organised service. Windsor centre was lovey the staff ensured that I had everything I needed. Kitten was micro chipped and neutered and had 4 week health insurance. Excellent

We adopted two kittens from Battersea London. We felt so supported along the whole adoption journey, from the screening interview, the call with the vet, and the visit to the cattery. Our kittens were given to us microchipped, neutered, and vaccinated. This has helped us so much as it has allowed us to focus on building a bond with the kittens from the start, without having to worry about these processes. Battersea also gave us lots of cat food to start us off, toys, blankets, and information kit. Two weeks in, we are so happy with our kittens, they are settling in so well. Thank you Battersea team!

So sad. We have previously adopted from Battersea and we truly struck gold with our rescue dog Freya. Sadly she has since passed away and we have decided to again take the plunge . We completed the online application and was told it was unlikely that we will be able to adopt. I work from home and can only come to the conclusion that the reason for the decline is that we have a 7 month old granddaughter who visits regulary. Shame on you Battersea for not looking into our circumstances further . I wonder why people then go on to buy puppies
