Dishonest & Predatory on Elderly
Horrible, dishonest company ! They are praying on the elderly. First: order says it’s shipped on Monday. I look at the tracking, on Wednesday it has not moved. Only says label was made. I wrote an email and got a canned response. I call they cannot look my order up by its number, my name, or the other 11 digit number no one knows what it’s for. Customer service hung up on me 4 times! I guess when they cannot find an order they just hang up. By the fifth call I’m livid, I now just want to cancel my order. She says it has a new magic tracking number and it is on its way now in Sparks, NV. I’m suspicious so I look up Sparks it’s a suburb of Reno where it has sat not moving for 72 hours. The only thing she can say is, I will escalate this. She has no idea what that means because she can’t explain what it means. Apparently, my subscription has been canceled. I will check trust pilot next time before I order these things for my mother again. Shame on these companies that pray on people that are taking care of their loved ones as if that’s not already hard enough. Don’t bother replying I know this is just a scam on the elderly.
I appreciate the response which was better than all of the customer service calls. I want to make clear that I had never had an expectation of receiving my order in two days I believe that was said to make me look foolish. I clearly stated that I got an email on Monday that my shipment was on its way with a tracking number and that number shows no movement. I called to get information and see what was happening, the dismissive Customer Service experience was the deciding factor in canceling my order and stopping all future business. I hope it arrives with no more issues. I can only imagine what it’s like if my 80 year old mother had to deal with this mess. Your customer service is set up to be very difficult and not simple solution.
Update: got one package today with 8/20ct packs of briefs. The shipping invoice says there are 12. Please refund the rest of my order. I do not believe it was ever created and it was definitely not shipped.

8/8/24 Update: I appreciate Ken's quick action to make things right and issue a refund since I had not received the promised email notifying me of the pending new shipment and therefore had not had the opportunity to change or cancel the order. New customers should know that when you request a "starter pack" to try the product, you are enrolling in an automatic subscription service. As for the product itself, my mom said it was comfortable and absorbent but it did not come up high enough for her. She likes her underwear to come up to her waist and the Because Market overnight underwear did not come up that high on her. The other thing my mom did like about this brand is that it wasn't as "squishy" as other brands she has tried.

These products are no better than what you can get at your local store. I think they purposely make you call to cancel instead of cancelling through the web site so they can give you a whole spiel while they "bring up your account". I said I didn't want a sales pitch, I just wanted to cancel. Even after she said she cancelled my account she started another spiel. I hung up. If I don't get an email confirming my cancellation I will be calling back.

Authorship sign up without consent
I didn’t receive any auto shipment notification ( their first email says will let the customer know 3 days before ) , and shipped the item . I ordered through an app SHOP , didn’t sign up through them. Shop site doesn’t have any order info . I reached out , they said I have to pay for the shipping which is cost $20-$30 to ship back . Unethical company , please AVOID

This “company” is a scam preying on senior citizens. They do not deserve even one star. Buyer beware, do not under any circumstances give them your personal information or credit card info. They will send you products you do not want and do not need!! Even if you cancel, they still send and they do not allow returns after 30 days and even then you must pay shipping (more than the cost of the product) and then they deduct a “handling” fee. I should be the one getting a handling fee because I have spent hours and endured a great deal of stress trying to get this “company” to stop sending products to my father, that he did not order, does not want and does not need!! Please do not get yourself caught up in this tangled web or red tape!! This is a SCAM SCAM SCAM! Sorry Ken it’s already been turned over to our attorney. I’m out of the picture now. Please stop ripping off people, it’s not good for you either.

3/11/24 UPDATE: I am just now seeing this response and there is no option to reply to Because Market's update.
I again tried to log into their website, and got a message a log in link would be sent to my email. Once again, no link arrived.
I put a review on here for my neighbors, who are 87 and 89. The card being charged is only used for medications, so neither realized the charges. They also believed the deliveries were covered by insurance.
What makes the least sense is how the products delivered changed every couple of months, as did the prices. This happened from June, 2023 to February, 2024. The account was canceled last week.
I will not put their names on an open forum, so please contact me at the email on file, or provide contact information here. Thank you.

I started receiving auto shipments again, after in the past having to get my bank and credit card company involved to stop payments. Today I tried to access my account and got caught in a loop because I did not have an email address on file. I went on Chat and the representative added my email and said no would receive an email with a link to access my account. All I got was an opt out email, which if in had replied, would have removed me from emails.
I filled in my email address multiple times to get the access account email, but nothing came. I went back on chat and was provided a working link to the account.
I never ordered these products, so I never changed to a new product which started auto shipping. I was able to cancel my account, but will check back regularly to make sure it does not mysteriously start up again.

Don't waste your money
I ordered a sample & once you do, they sign you up for a subscription. When I got the email saying my sample shipped it showed three different estimated arrival dates. It came on the last date shown. I decided right away I didn't want the subscription, so I canceled it before the product arrived. Glad I did. The sample existed of three underwear and I also got a sample of wipes. First, sample of wipes has 14 wipes. They are small, fairly thick, but the sent is down right horrible! Smells like a bunch of chemicals even though it claims to be free of everything. Tossed them out. Now the underwear, were so thick. When I put them on, it felt like I had a wad of toilet paper between my legs and they were droopy in the butt area. Since they bunched up, naturally they didn't sit right and they leaked. I just threw the other two away. Save your money!

They're not exactly friendly on returns, especially "without authorization". Unfortunately, my package had been previously refused and returned when they FINALLY responded to my email informing them of the refusal & return of my order. In other words ***- out for me and a refund. The bottom line is,they have the PRODUCT & the MONEY! What part of business is that? Obviously the FRAUDULENT PART! Wow, how can they be in business? Folks, please don't waste your money. In addition to having poor customer relations, they're products are just as horrible!

Because Market is a Shady Outfit Who Thrives on Manipulating People into Recurring Billing and Auto-Ship
Because Market is about as shady as they get. My elderly neighbor bought what she believed was a "Free Starter Pack/Sample" of some undergarments for a single $2.99 shipping charge. She intended no other purpose.
Using very deceptive and inconspicuous web design, intended to highlight things along the likes of "Free" and "Check out Now" and DOWNPLAY any Subscription purchases, they tricked her into signing up for Auto-Shipment of $90 worth of materials every month.
She called right after receiving the first box -- completely unaware that she'd even been charged (hadn't even gotten a statement yet) and alerted them to the Shipping "error".
They told her that She would have to pay the shipping to send back a heavy box, that she did not order or consent to in any clearly presented manner.
She legit believed they had just made a mistake and she was alerting them to THEIR mistake.
Even AFTER she called to complain about the unwanted shipments and they knew she was auto-subscribed, they DID NOT even cancel her future shipments and sent her MORE product the very next month!
When I finally got involved, they said that "they could refund October, but could not refund September, because it had been past 30 days"...But she HERSELF had called within the 30 days back in September...and they had full record of this!
Today, AFTER they said they'd put in for a refund request, they then emailed saying they could refund only October, if SHE paid to ship it back. (Remember, they shipped October, having known that she hadn't signed up to begin with and were now making her liable for the shipping! They were still making her eat the September shipment.)
What's more, on the first order of $2.99 -- a price which the INVOICE displays, there were actually EXTRA items...that DO NOT SHOW up on the Invoice -- but she was then charged for those items ALSO on her Credit card. They aren't even on the Invoice! But are on the Credit Card Statement and shipped WITH the original $2.99 Order.
AND those items, also became part of the subscription Auto-Pay -- inside the big boxes that came.
The website design is quite deliberately designed to trick people into Subscriptions as the DEFAULTS, COLOR CHOICES, PLACEMENT of things -- is all intended to lure people into recurring billing.
The company has a litany of BBB complaints and when called to task, they are outright malicious.
Find somewhere else to buy from.
They are a shady outfit and don't give a rat's ass about ripping off Seniors.
They even tried to sell the the lie that their shipping carrier "doesn't allow them" to furnish any return labels.
Edit/Update: My review was dated 10/11/2022. Ken Weaver decided to "get around" to it and notice the review, a year and a half later.
This is a company that needs to fold up their tent and go away.

Because Market uses deceptive practices. I joined it's subscription service to begin in May of 2022. This company charged my account and shipped the order a month early. I received an email the day before they shipped the product. I went to the website to verify the shipping date was in May and at that time canceled my membership. In the terms and conditions you are told to cancel or postpone orders 3 days in advance. I scheduled my order 2 months out so had no idea that a shipment was processing in April until I received the email one day before shipping. When you call customer service they act as if they don't know what you are talking about. It was the business error, but they want me to pay shipping and handling to return a product they shipped without authorization.

They said: Unfortunately the order from 12/08/2021 has already been processed and we are unable to stop it at this point.!!!! I called and said I did not need more and pls cancel. They said I could not refuse the order. This is a real scam outfit

This was the worst company I have ever…
This was the worst company I have ever worked with. I said I didn't want to have buy anything until the 2nd month and they sent me out my first package with in 2 weeks. I refused the package and called to cancel and they tried to get me to try other products and wouldn't cancel my account but in the end hung up on me. I called back and they wouldn't even answer just kept the microphone muted and then hung up. I went on line and talked with a person in chat and she said she couldn't cancel the account. Also sent me a disclaimer that said I can refuse the package but I will have to pay to send it back and they have the right to charge me the shipping on the original package sent. I called back a third time and the same thing they muted their phone never said hi and ended up hanging up on me. I waited half a day and called back and this person cancelled my account. I will never work with a company that takes advantage of seniors like this.
