War in Ordnung aber die Warteschlangen waren nicht so toll

Warning to all passengers: if you feel airport staff in this airport talking bad about you behind your back, don’t even doubt as they actually do it!

I was just insulted today by Turkish-speaking security staff who assumed, based on my appearance(green eyes, light brown hair), that I would not understand Turkish.

I came to a scanner at the security check and after an unsuccessful attempt a man, operating it, said in turkish: “olmadı” =“it didn’t work” and without saying anything to me just waved me away to a security lady.

This security lady asked me if i prefer German or English language and i said: i prefer German.

Afterwards i was silently following her instructions in German as anyone would do during this simple and routine process. She asked me to raise my hands, turn around and raise my feet one by one, which i did as instructed.

During above procedure all of a sudden she told to her colleague: “Öküz bir kadin” = which means something like “uneducated stupid cow woman”. The other colleague asked: “hangi Kadin?” = “which woman?”. And she responded “bu” = “this one” pointing at me.

Insulting people thinking they would not understand when nowadays many people including myself speak 4-5 languages is as low and despicable as it only can be.

I can only imagine what all the other things are spoken there behind people’s backs. Besides calling someone a cow who is 1/2 of a size of the insulter is at least ridiculous.

I can only confirm that all the negative reviews for staff of this airport are fair and well deserved.

Avoid like the plague. As being a "Berliner" I am ashamed for this airport being associated with my City

Unfassbar langsam und jedes Mal eine extrem genervte Crew an der Abfertigung (inkl. Unangebrachte Sprüche). Arrogant und sich ihrer Dienstleistung kaum bewusst. Jeder andere Flughafen macht mehr Spaß. Schade.

Katastrophe, wie jedes Mal wenn ich fliegen muss und das vom Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg. 40min. im Flugzeug sitzen und den Start warten, da es keinen Push-Back Fahrzeug gibt. Immer wieder eine Enttäuschung. Blöd, dass man nicht aussuchen kann welcher Betreiber den Grossstadtflughafen leitet. Danke

Terrible, didn’t give us right information didn’t let us on for doing what they said

If you travel here from outside the EU don’t bother. Not a great way to start a weekend away getting thoroughly pissed off waiting over 2 hours for passport control, all the EU passport holders flew through. They had two few passport control agents and they were painfully slow and disappeared on frequent breaks, no sense of urgency at all. Our pre booked taxi left without us. I am never flying into Berlin airport again!!!! It says something when everyone seems to have the same issues. Berlin Airport, surely time to change the management at the top?

Bin heute von Malaga nach Berlin geflogen und habe 75 Minuten auf mein Gepäck gewartet. Der Flughafen Berlin ist der einzige weltweit, bei dem die Gepäckausgabe länger dauert als der Flug.

Since moment one you feel the racism and hate of the uneducated and good for nothing German people that work here. What a shame their employees (Germans who studied English in school) can’t even speak English or try to help. What did they do in school then? How can they get a job with that rude attitude? This airport should hire international and educated people because as we enter the capital city of Germany, the world sees this place as racist and lazy people who can’t even do their job.

Would give 0 Stars if possible. Long queues, rude staff, poor organisation, terrible security, non-existent passport control. If you ever want to visit Berlin, take the train. Better still don’t visit Berlin and spend your money at home, or burn your money, it will be more enjoyable.

Really long wait straight off the plane (T2) for passport control. Queue not moving at all for long periods. No staff available - didn’t see 1 single person to ask what was causing the hold-up all the time we were queuing and no toilets either. Self-registration for biometrics was a joke - most of the machines weren’t working then when you finally got to the desk, they did it again anyway. Nearly 2 hours to get out of the airport.

Auch wenn es viele hier anders erlebt haben, gestern Abend bei der Ankunft am BER wurden wir vom Sicherheitspersonal so freundlich und liebevoll behandelt, dass es eine richtige Wohltat war. Beim Security Check waren die Mitarbeitenden so gut gelaunt und haben uns jegliches Gefühl von Unbehagen genommen, was ja durchaus bei diesen Checks da sein kann. So muss es sein, wenn Menschen in ihrer Begabung aufleben. Auch im Anschluss auf dem Weg zum Gate waren die Sicherheitsleute ungefragt so freundlich und zuvorkommend, als wir etwas suchend nach dem richtigen Weg waren. Ein grosses Lob für das Personal gestern Abend!

Also ich verstehe die ganze Aufregung nicht - bei mir hat bislang immer alles perfekt geklappt!

I am absolutely flabbergasted at the exploitative food prices at the BER...€3.80 for a bottle of water... an energy drink for €5.00 onwards... Christ I can buy an energy drink at Lidl for 0,69 cents€... I don't expect lidl pricing at an airport but jeez someone is taking the piss. Captive audience and exploitation of the traveling masses come to mind 😳

ONLY PROBLEMS!
When I say this is the WORST airport in europe, I really mean THE WORST!
A child designed this airport on sims, and don't get me started on the security queues.

Am 1. März hab ich auf dem Flug von Palma de Mallorca nach Berlin beim Ausstieg mein Portemonnaie im Flieger verloren.
Bemerkt hab ich es erst als ich am Bahnhof meine Fahrkarten gesucht hab.
Der Mitarbeiter am Info Punkt ( den Namen habe ich mir leider nicht gemerkt) hat gefühlt zehn Telefonate geführt und es dann zustande gebracht dass mein zwischenzeitlich gefundenes Portemonnaie zum Info Punkt gebracht wurde.
So einen tollen Service hab ich noch nicht erlebt.
Ich bedanke mich nochmals ganz herzlich bei den beiden Flughafenmitarbeitern und möchte hiermit auch ein uneingeschränktes Lob an den Service am BER aussprechen.

Leider muss ich mich den negativen Bergwertungen anschließen .
Im Parkhaus hat man eine
schlechte Orientierung und es ist sehr dunkel. Keine Verbindung zum Flughafen man muss eine Strecke draußen laufen. Und dann kommt der UNFASSBARE Betrag für 7 Tage 320€ !!!
Da vergeht einem das ganze Urlaubsfeeling!
Wir sollten das boykottieren!!
Unfassbar wie man uns überall abzockt!!

Dreadful place long walk from train station to T2 all outside no shelter from elements. T2 security is awful 3 out of 4 bags screened nothing in them staff ignorant rude and hostile toward passengers. Poor food selection €4.30 for a 500ml soft drink at shop, some walls in terminal unpainted service at duty free awful 4 staff behind counter one serving big line while others chatted then walked off. AVOID THIS DUMP IF YOU CAN

Il peggior aeroporto in cui sono stata!
I senzatetti girano sull'aeroporto e il personale non agisce. Per non parlare dei controlli di sicurezza...il personale ESTREMAMENTE ANTIPATICO E SGARBATO!! Abbiamo passato circa mezz'ora lì perché la signora tirava fuori ogni cosa dalla nostra valigia chiachierando con i suoi colleghi di lavoro. NON MERITA NEMMENO UNA STELLA MA 0 NON SI PUÒ.
State alla larga se dovete andare a Berlino!

Der Herr am Eingang sehr nett, sie müssen nichts auspacken. Nach dem Scan steht so eine Dame von 1,50m und kurzen, blondierten Haaren und will meinen Rucksack untersuchen. Ok, aber sie sagt keinen Ton, als ich frage, was muss ich tun-sagt sie doch prompt, sie macht so langsam, wie sie möchte. Guckt sich mein erlaubten Deo an und Ende. Kein Guten Tag, kein auf Wiedersehen, unfreundlich bis zum geht nicht mehr.
