Just one complaint
Just didn’t like the time restrictions on using the hot tub because that’s why we paid extra for that experience and it was unfortunately limited. It has to do with the cities quiet our I believe which is out of their hands but a hot tub isn’t loud

Nice cabin, good experience with company
We've visited Big Bear for many years and have rented from Big Bear Cool Cabins for the last several. Their process for renting has gotten much easier and streamlined with automation- however a person still responds to questions promptly and helpfully. The cabin we rented this year was perfect for our family of 4- well maintained and really charming!

The cabin was clean and had everything…
The cabin was clean and had everything you needed for a great stay. Only criticism is the check in/check out process. We left home without an access code and only received it once we were on the road. With Airbnb you typically have that information hours before leaving. Knowing you'll be able to get in once you get there is important and an hour and a half before check in will make most people nervous. Tried using the app to check out and it indicated that "you're out of the state so we can't check you out" (we live in the same county/state as the cabin). We finally texted Cool Cabins that we had left and never received an acknowledgement.

We did send your access code by text at 2:00 PM, which was two hours before your scheduled 4:00 PM check-in time. We're sorry if there was any confusion or concern before you received it.
Regarding check-out, we never received a text message from you letting us know you had departed. We apologize that the app gave you an error during check-out and understand how frustrating that must have been.

Not really a happy camper
The cabin was perfect for our use having dogs with us. We liked the location and the back deck was wonderful.
However:
The walkway of rocks was really uneven making walking a little difficult
It got so terribly hot even with the little pull around cooler.
The yard looks very neglected and there’s trash
The slider and windows had dirt and bugs-very dirty.

My husband and I stayed at the cabin…
My husband and I stayed at the cabin Moonridge Hideaway just recently. I booked this cabin because it got positive reviews. However this cabin definitely does not live up to these reviews. The place smells like urine and it’s just overwhelming. The sectional couch in the living room is falling apart and the cushions are so worn out that it feels like you’re sitting on wooden crates. It should be replaced!! There is very poor lighting in the cabin too. I needed to use my phone flashlight a lot in order to see things. The beds are not bad except they are very squeaky. The place is not very clean… especially the floor and baseboard in the bathroom, We were suppose to stay 4 nights but after the second night the smell was just making us both so ill that we left. I called the number for Cool Cabins to explain what happened and the person on the phone was not at all concerned and just said “I will let housekeeping know.” The money they are charging for this place makes me believe that the owners have no shame and neither do cool cabins property management.
Update to my previous review. I called Big Bear Cool cabins today and spoke to a different person. She was very helpful and is refunding me back for the nights I paid for and did not stay. This was a much better customer service experience. Thank you BBCC for addressing this matter.

Cabin was cleaned, has everything you need for your stay, only thing is the Main bed room the pillows werent confortable at all. But overall it was great!

Was a very cute little cabin! However all the towels were damp when we got there. Smelled clean, no stains or anything. So we just put them in the dryer to fully dry

Enjoyable cabin for a family of 4!
Beautiful cabin in a quiet neighborhood, and there was plenty of things for our kids(3 & 6) to do! They had so much fun in both the playroom and game room! Also, booking process was pretty smooth and easy!

Great Weekend Gateaway
The cabin was beautiful! Clean, ready to use. The only issue we hit was that the cabin smelled like cigarette smoke. We had to open the doors to air it out. But everything else was great. Customer service was amazing too; we called and they put a note down so we avoided the fee (it was a smoke free cabin). I’d book again!

BBCC is great, the property itself was "meh"
We came up for a week and rented through Big Bear Cool Cabins, like we have many times. We have had good luck with them and as always their service was good. As far as this particular property itself, if you're simply looking for a place to stay, and nothing more, it will do. The location was fine and the neighborhood was quiet. There is little to no room for suitcases etc in the bedrooms. While there, we gave up on getting the living room TV to work, although BBCC offered to send a maintenance guy to check it out. About half of the games in the game room were either out of order or glitching. The curtain rods often fall when you try to open the curtains. We could only get one side of the stove to light. The igniter for the barbecue didn't work, and there were no matches or lighter to be found. Cleanliness wasn't perfect; the kitchen chairs were pretty stained and we decided to clean the dog pee looking stain off the bottom of the guest room door ourselves when we got there. If you're a taller person, the sloped ceilings in the kitchen and bathroom might not be ideal. We didn't expect the Taj Mahal, we've rented in Big Bear many times and know the deal. However, this place was a little bit janky. If all you need is a base of operations, it's fine.

We absolutely loved our stay. It was great for the 4th of July weekend. Everything was clean and comfortable. We can not wait to come back in the Fall. The rental process was seamless as well.

A bit out of the way, but a GREAT cabin!
This is the 3rd time I stayed in this cabin. It's exactly perfect for us. Nicely fenced yard for the dog! Cabin is spotless and well maintained. Easy to book and directions are perfect. This cabin is a bit out of the way from Big Bear Village, but it's so quiet that it's worth the little extra drive.
