Tightened and tuned the bike, but the brakes were poorly balanced and worst of all, didn't lubricate or clean the chain - which was returned dry and dirty and didn't provide any kind of breakdown of... もっと見る

You have asked me to leave a review for goods that have not arrived. That would be one star review then! Stop using Hermes to deliver your items, they are terrible and make your service terrible. Use... もっと見る

Bike Boom want to keep its community rolling. Offering good value servicing and honest advice. We are a small bicycle workshop run by human beings. IF YOUR ONLINE ORDER IS LATE PLEASE CALL US. We are real people and sometimes mistakes happen or people get ill or things get forgotten or packages get lost etc We are here to help make sure you get your order. All bikes are welcome. Cargo bikes, e-bikes, folding bikes are what we specialise in as well as refurbishing bikes - check out our custom builds too! Wheel building, bike building, frame re-spraying, it's all done in our unit. Come over for a chat about our next bike project.

Terrible bike service and even worse customer experience. Will never use again.
Got billed 27% more than quoted (without a quick call to explain) and my bike isn't setup properly - asked them to look into gears but they say that's all they can do. Gears are crunching on metal....I'll have to take it to the kids at Halfords who can do a better job with better service.

and yes...you did stay a bit late on the original Saturday to do the work (appreciated) but that was only be cause of internal mis-communication about pick up time
and no, its not user error - I've had this bike many years with perfectly functioning gears.

I was quoted £110 which I'd explained was the max limit and a stretch I was prepared to pay to get bike good again. I was billed and paid £140 and will now need to pay more to get it fixed somewhere else.
You didn't do some of the jobs I'd agreed with the person I spoke to when I took my bike in. You did do things the other guy had measured and said weren't necessary at that stage and which I therefore said I definitely didn't want.
The bike has never been right since i picked it up. I've been putting off taking it back because of the terrible experience - all I expected was a courtesy phonecall to explain you felt different jobs were required/price was going to change...and of course a bike that works...

One thing is accurate and that is you have had your bike for many years. When you brought it to us it was in a very sorry state and you were told that it would cost about £120 to repair. It required more new parts than anticipated and more time as cables and front derailleur were completely seized and the chain and cassette were completely worn. Our bill for the replacement components and labour came to £140. We completed the work on Saturday afternoon finishing two hours after we normally close so you could have your bike to help you go to job interviews etc as you were at that time, unemployed. £140 is not 33% more than £120, our estimate was only 16% out. We settled on £130, an 8.3% increase.
A few months later you brought the bike back saying there was a rubbing sound from the front mech and that you haven't used the bike so it must be our fault. We fixed it free of charge and explained that not using the front mech can cause it to be sticky with corrosion. You replied that you do use it regularly but maybe only 10 times? Later, when you came to collect your bike 1 1/2 hours after we closed, we explained that there is a half click to trim the front mech and showed it working as it should in the workstand.

Our order was damaged by the courier by and after a phone call they sent out a replacement that same day.

Staff were very friendly! helpful and knowledgeable and made me chose the right.
