The whole process was handled incredibly well, quickly and smoothly. Megan gathered all the info needed, and from then on required little input on my side. She was diligent and organized, responsive but also patient. She is very professional and great to work with. Ultimately, we received a settlement compensation far beyond what I thought was possible and I am very pleased with the outcome. I would definitely highly recommend working with her and the Bindmans team.

Gabrielle Plews was engaged to advise and complete a company share buyback on behalf of our company. At all times the work was executed to the highest standard and with great speed. This is the second time I have sought the services of this firm and I cannot fault them in any way.

I was going through the difficult experience of job redundancy. After I reached out to the firm, an experienced solicitor, Roshan Dykes, promptly got back to me. He was very thoughtful, considered and thorough in the timely advice that he gave me, as well as being transparent on costs. Roshan dealt with my case speedily, which helped to take the anxiety out of the redundancy process. Well-handled case and excellent value for money.

Their website gives the impression they will help but the reality is they don't.

I contacted the Housing Team for help they do not take on cases because they are busy with Grenfell.

So so so bad!! How on earth is this a tier 1 firm? Nick Jennaway is horrendous! He literally caused nothing but problems and somehow I ended up in a much worse position after he got involved. This man literally ruins lives and is a liar! The firm have taken thousands of pounds from us when the evidence is clear, they put me in a worst position due to Nicks negligence.

I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before using Bindmans LLP’s crime department. We genuinely believed we were in capable hands, but the experience has been extremely disappointing and distressing.
There has been absolutely no duty of care shown towards a vulnerable adult. Between October and June, we were charged almost £20,000 — with over £14,000 of that between January and June alone — yet much of the promised work was never completed. We were even billed for endless emails chasing updates, asking questions, and giving instructions that were mostly ignored.
We were left in a worse position than when we started and have now had to hire a new firm to fix the damage and continue the work that Bindmans should have handled properly.
When we raised our concerns with Katie Wheatley, the partner supposedly overseeing the case, she didn’t even have the courtesy to respond or return calls. Instead, the case was left with Nicholas Jennaway, whose approach was completely disengaged and careless. He showed little understanding of the matter or effort to familiarise himself with the details when it was transferred to him.
We’ve asked for a refund given the poor service and lack of progress, but Bindmans continue to justify their charges. We are now pursuing the matter through the Legal Ombudsman and SRA.
In my opinion, Bindmans LLP do not deserve their reputation as a Tier 1 firm. The service we received was unprofessional, negligent, and showed a complete lack of care or accountability.

Most of the public family law work was handled well, knowledgeable, professional, and well-prepared. There were some gaps in understanding around areas of inequality, but the team appeared open to learning when these issues were raised. However, once the public family work ended, I wasn’t provided with the expected private rates or signposting, which left me unable to resolve a few final matters. It was also implied that I’d been referred to the public law department, but despite following up via their online form, I received no response. A strong start, but unfortunately let down by how things ended.

I have only good things to say about my experience with Karma and the way she helped me through the vigorous and daunting process of Visa applications. She was very knowledgeable about what I needed to have and to do and she always made me feel like everything was under control. Karma had a way of reassuring me whenever the whole ordeal seemed overwhelming.
I can do nothing but sing Karma’s praises and feel very fortunate that I had her there to get it done.

I engaged Comfort Oladele of Sutton Mattocks (now a division of Bindmans) over two years ago to deal with a lease extension for my flat. The terms of the new lease were not acceptable to the buyer's mortgage company and the sale fell through. I was advised the terms of the new lease breached the CML guidelines. I then complained to the senior partner, Jonathan Walsh, and subsequently lodged a complaint with The Legal Ombudsman. Two years have passed and I'm trying to sell the flat again, only to discover that the new lease was never lodged with the Land Registry. Comfort and Jonathan are showing no sense of urgency, despite this being the only matter that continues to delay the current sale. Deeds have gone missing in the post; email copies are not chased up. Requests for updates are ignored for days at a time. My new solicitors, the buyer's solicitors and the estate agents are all horrified at the service being provided by Comfort and Jonathan, who are seemingly unphased by the open Legal Ombudsman complaint. I am hoping this review is seen by someone in the parent company who actually cares.

They are very helpful, Professional, and considerate

I began working with Karma through a word of mouth recommendation from a friend. Karma and her team are fantastic to work with! This is my second time working with Karma for my visa application, and there's no one else I'd rather go to. Constantly chasing and eventually said they wouldn't deal with my case.

We were, very unfortunately, allocated solicitors from this company by the Official Solicitor in a Court of Protection case. Two solicitors from Bindmans were allocated to act for my father between March and June 2023. For this role, in just over 3 months and with very little work, they charged my father over £20,000. They showed failures of even basic professionalism: 1. They did not even spell the name of my father, their client, correctly, even in Court documents; 2. They failed to get basic facts about their client correct in a COP witness statement, and even had to resubmit a witness statement to the Court due to errors; 3. On visiting my father the Bindman's solicitor did not even manage to observe the items in his room accurately - one of the only tasks she was asked to undertake in this visit; 4. They submitted court documents late, and were admonished by the judge; 5. They failed to create a detailed end of life visiting plan for my father - and were again admonished by the judge in a final hearing. I would not employ these lawyers and am shocked that they are allocated by the Official Solicitor to act for vulnerable adults. I would rate them with a 0 if possible.
