Very reasonable priced hassle free on pick up and drop off and the cars are always very clean and top off the range

Does what it says on the tin - well priced, clean cars & efficient service.

Avoid at all costs.
Rented a car and upon returning my pregnant baby brain ( with toddler in tow ) left an expensive purse in the glove box including hundreds of pounds and various bank cards / driving licence . Called less than an hour later and was told that it hadn’t been found .
The only people having access to the car in that time being whoever transported the car back to the rental terminal or whoever cleaned it . I was then told the car had been rented out and the man hadn’t found it either .
I received a rather unapologetic email about how things are disregarded for hygiene reasons . Absolute disgrace, thieves operating at this company . Find it hard to believe the glove box wouldn’t have been checked before cleaning and issuing the car to someone new .

I have hired from Budget before and have always found the procedure very easy from start to finish. Friendly staff, good location and a good clean car. I would recommend them for car hire.

Polite and helpful staff. Easy to use and clean nice car. If I had to criticise it would be no one there when you drop off your vehicle upon return in out of office hours, especially when you have paid your own waver insurance of €2000 + fuel deposit. Saying that i was emailed within 8hrs od dropping it off. This stems from hiring vehicles in Spain when you dropped vehicle's off leaving the keys only to lose your deposit for supposedly damage found. Thank you budget for being honest. Will definitely use again.

⭐ 1-Star Review: Deeply Disappointed with Budget Car Rentals and their disgraceful service.
I am extremely disappointed with Budget Car Rentals and their unprofessional, misleading, and frankly dishonest practices.
On November 2nd at around 12:30 pm, I rented a car for one day, to be returned the following day. I was told that one day costs €145, while two days cost €190. I clearly chose and paid for one day, and also paid a €124 deposit for fuel.
I returned the car the next day at 4:30 pm — just four hours later than the same time I picked it up. To my shock, I later discovered that Budget had gone into my account and charged an additional €21 without any authorization. When I checked the invoice they sent, I saw they had charged me for two full days, including insurance.
How does returning a car four hours late justify charging me for a full extra day — plus additional insurance? It’s absolutely unreasonable and feels like a deliberate way to overcharge customers. Even worse, they stored my card details and keep accessing my account to take money without notice or permission.
This company lacks transparency, professionalism, and integrity. It feels like they just take people’s money at will. For a one-day rental that already cost an outrageous €145, they keep finding ways to steal more.
Budget Car Rentals is a disgrace. I will never use them again, and I will make sure everyone I know hears about this experience.
Stop taking unauthorized payments and refund my money immediately.

I was very dissatisfied with Budget who charged me for preexisting damage.
Fortunately I had taken photos of this damage prior to driving the car away from the collecting point.
I disputed the charge with Budget but they were difficult to engage with. I therefore escalated my dispute with the credit card company (visa).
The evidence that I provided to Visa helped me secure a full refund of the damage charge.

Disgusting Scammers - Alec served us at Cork Ireland airport - he was rude and extremely hostile. Refused to take our Mastercard credit card despite it saying on the website that they accepted it. Charged us $300 on the spot. It was midnight and our flight was delayed. We had a baby and a 5 year old with us. He was appallingly rude and since disputing the additional charge we have been met with a stream of argumentative emails not once apologising for the additional charge, rudeness or distress this has caused.

We returned the car with some damage which they charged us for taking it directly from the credit card. The damage was already on the car when we picked it up and we sent them photographic evidence of this. They simply ignore emails. This seems to be a pattern for this company. One wonders why they haven't been investigated for fraud.

The staff were all pleasant to deal with and it all went smoothly. Got a nice car at a very reasonable price.

Yikes - they are shockingly bad. From the attempts to stiff arm you into extra insurance (claiming they can't see what you paid for at time of booking) to erroneous claims of damage that they charge without any notice or confirmation of what's involved. The experience has soured me on Budget for life and I'd recommend everyone else avoids wherever possible.

Budget/Avis is one of the best rental companies I've ever delt with.

We rented our car the same time we got our airline tickets. It was a great rate and everything was fine. The shuttle drivers were pretty rude, but whatever. When we went to drop the car off they said we went through a third party and we were going to pay double what we thought we would. I've tried to get help but haven't heard back from anyone. What good is getting a reservation if they just charge you whatever they want to?

Budget car hire at Kerry Airport is very good very friendly and helping staff laid back approach well organised and value for money i wouldn't use any one else

I rented from them a couple of weeks ago in Galway and I received a bigger class car than what I reserved at no extra charge, which was nice. I took the extra insurance, which is essential, so total cost was €65 a day, which was pretty reasonable, I think. Their pickup/dropoff times are good too, with dropoff available 7 days a week, unlike some competitors. A positive experience all round.

It's fair - the prices are good.
