About a virgin debt even though I sent about my insolvency to this company they keep on harassing me. the debt was with a company called BPO my debt counsellor spoke to BPO, Capital Resolve still wants me to pay.

My husband just received a letter saying he owed Virgin Media £35.83 but neither of us have ever used Virgin Media. 100% scammers

Was contacted regarding an outstanding EDF bill from 2021. All me EDF bills are paid fully and up to date. EDF confirmed this. Now trying to get this mark off my credit score...

Scammer Company.
Not bothered as I won't pay BUT there has been a breach somewhere and that needs to be escalated.
Two years ago, I moved out of a house and paid my all my bills.
Last week I got emails, texts to say that I owed EDF some money. EDF took over Utility Point when the went under so they were mentioned as well.
EDzf looked at my account and said there is/was nothing to pay and I should ignore the email.
The concern is that Capital Resolve have managed to get my account number,name,phone number AND new address.
EDF or someone have failed to protect my data.

Received a request for money apparently owed (£1400) to EDF after Utilitar went broke. EDF have no record of debt. Unclear how Capital Resolve obtained information. Have asked for evidence - unless this is received will not take further action. Why are we subject to such things .... very stressful.

Had a letter through the post claiming that I had an outstanding balance of £254.74 on an EDF account from when they took over Utility point in 2021. Very confused as there was no other information on the letter and I closed out the account and paid the final bill in 2022, so tried to phone and email capital resolve and they’re impossible to contact! Called EDF to have confirmed to me there there was NO outstanding balance!!! If you receive any letters from capital resolve DO NOT pay them off without checking the legitimacy of their claim!!

Couldn't even manage a coherent explanation as to why this awful company were contacting me so he literally made one up and has basically tried to suggest that i am in the wrong when its this scamming scum company that are incorrectly chasing non existent fines.

Keep getting texts about a SKY account , SPAM please avoid. I don't have any debts with that company and they don't call

keep on getting text messages with wrong name regarding virgin media for the last 2 yrs . i have ignored them but to no avail.They are scammers but due to poor laws in this country they get away with it .

I received a letter from this company chasing me for an £80 DVLA debt, as my vehicle was off the road for 8 months and I didn't complete a SORN. I taxed it on the 4th November, their demand is dated 9th November. I wasn't even aware of the offence. I have tried to register this morning on Capital Resolve's website, but although the registration form accepts my case number when registering as a first time user, it says that my date of birth is incorrect and doesn't match with their information. Is this a scam company?

I received an email in my junk folder on Friday just where they belong and suddenly today I received a phone call i didn’t answer but I rang back just to find out who rang!
It’s illegal to cold call someone and I left virgin media over 2 years ago!
Who’s ever sold my data is in big trouble and I’ve logged this with the police going forwards to Action Fraud!
I raised this with virgin and I don’t owe them anything my account is closed owing nothing!
Do not engage chat with them but if you do use these words will soon learn to leave you alone.
So say “Please Cease and Desist all future contact with me and I have never borrowed money from you and you are acting fraudulently”
Let your provider know that you are being scammed and my account is Closed you scammer’s are illegal so don’t engage with them report block and ignore them.

F Y scamers i called them to ask why they sent me letters to my address from dvla 80£ penalty and where they take the permission, she just cut the line , nothing paid to them

I have just received a letter stating that I owe Capital Resolve around £750 for an unpaid debt to EDF from when they took over from Green Network Energy back in 2021. It is extremely unsettling to know that these people still operate. Had I not checked on Trustpilot I would be going around in circles trying to figure out what the hell is going on! I'm dubious to give them any contact details and I'm unable to call them off a witheld number as it wont let me!

Hmm just got a call from this company saying i have an unpaid £80 fine with the DVLA but after reading all the 1 star reviews i’m not sure if this company is a scam or not !!!!!!!!!

So called debt for DVLA for vehicle I scrapped in Dec 2022 (now Oct 23), £80....website is down and emails bounce back so not even going to bother ringing them...will file any other paperwork and save should they become troublesome in the future.

This seems to be a scam - we received a debt collection letter from them.. it has the wrong address and information for us. We don't owe EDF any money...In fact we've never even had them as an energy provider at this address. Do not pay this company any money!! I am reporting them to Citizens Advice.

Hello i am after some advice, i have received a letter from this company for DVLA penalty of 80.00.
After reading some of these reviews im uncertain if i should pay this?

As per the previous comments, emailed about a fictitious debt I supposedly owe EDF previously Green Network Energy. I've never had an account with them and been with a totally different supplier for c6 years. Contacted EDF and they said no such debt or account under my name. Only a small debt this company said I owed EDF but scary that people might just pay this to get rid of them. Do not pay without checking with the company, there are laws around debt that state you would have had to have been contacted about the debt by the original company several times and go through their internal process prior to being passed to debt collection. A letter from this company should never be your first notification.

My experience with CapitalResolve has been highly unsatisfactory. After sending them an email inquiry, I had to wait a whopping 60 days for a response, which was both tardy and discourteous. To make matters worse, the representative I communicated with was incredibly rude and unprofessional in their mannerisms.

CapitalResolve made claims that I owed them money, but they failed to provide any concrete proof to substantiate their allegations. This lack of transparency and unwillingness to listen to my side of the story raised serious doubts about their legitimacy.

What's even more concerning is that I decided to test their credibility by providing them with false information, including a different email address, yet they still insisted that the account in question owed them money. They went to the extent of requesting my personal information and address, which was quite unsettling.

In light of these experiences, I can only conclude that CapitalResolve appears to be unreliable and possibly operating in an unscrupulous manner. Their lack of professionalism, tardy responses, and questionable practices have left me with a strong sense of distrust, and I would advise caution when dealing with this company.

Glad it is not just me!! I keep getting texts and letters saying I owe money to EDF !! I have been with British Gas for 2 years and before that it was EON. No idea where the debt that they are saying I have has come from
