I had an excellent experience with this car rental company at the airport in Hungary. From start to finish, the service was outstanding.

The team was highly professional, attentive, and always willing to help, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. I would especially like to highlight Zoltán Szalai, who assisted me during my rental. He was exceptionally proactive, committed, and accommodating. When I needed to extend my rental by an extra day, he handled everything efficiently and with great care, making the whole process incredibly easy. His professionalism and honesty truly stood out.

The vehicle itself was in excellent condition—clean, well-maintained, and clearly looked after to a very high standard. It made the journey comfortable and enjoyable.

Overall, I could not have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable, professional, and customer-focused car rental services. I will certainly use them again in the future.

Ik kwam dus bij het kantoortje en voor me was een dame in discussie over haar rijbewijs en creditcard. Volgens de man achter de balie waren die allebei niet in orde… Nou, dat zou kunnen. Zij liep boos weg.

Toen was ik aan de beurt. Paspoort had ik, geldig rijbewijs… maar ook mijn Visa Gold World creditcard was volgens hem een debitkaart. WAT? Ik heb die kaart al meer dan 30 jaar en nog nooit problemen mee gehad.

Hij weigerde de kaart, maar ik kon wel voor 160 euro een verzekering kopen (voor 3 dagen). Daar is het ze om te doen. Als mijn creditcard echt niet goed zou zijn, zouden ze nooit een auto meegeven. Dat staat los van het verzekeren van de auto.

De boeking was via Booking.com. Daar ga ik het ook melden, en ook bij Visa. Ook ik ben weggelopen.

I had a fantastic experience with Carwiz (booking through Expedia). The staff were welcoming, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable. I completed the online check-in beforehand and uploaded all required documents, so at pickup, I only needed to show my passport to confirm my identity. After signing three times and having a nice chat, I received the keys along with clear instructions on where to find the car.

The car itself was spotless and in excellent condition — small, but full of extras! I was genuinely impressed that the most affordable option in their fleet was such a well-equipped, almost top-of-the-range version. It drove beautifully and had low mileage. The team also took the time to show me the few small existing marks on the vehicle and explained the full-to-full fuel policy. They even offered the option to prepay a full tank, which was perfect for my early-morning return.

Before returning the car, I gave it a quick wash — it had been raining, and I felt the car (and the service) deserved it! Drop-off was seamless: I simply parked it in the same spot where I picked it up, dropped the key into their return box, and was on my way to my flight.

Overall, I’m extremely pleased with the service, the car’s cleanliness, and the entire experience. I also really appreciated that, even though I had extended excess cover from Expedia, I wasn’t pressured or bombarded with insurance offers — a big plus!

I’ll definitely use Carwiz again and have already recommended them to my friends. A genuine 5-plus-star experience!

We had good experience with Carwiz in Jodan. So we rented a car from Carwiz Budapest Airport. The car was very new with only around 8000 kilometers and very clean . Also we were upgraded to a better car than we booked. Everything is very smooth and quick. Only I suggest the highway fee should let customers to choose to purchase the whole package or pay daily. For those customers who don’t need to use highway but still need to pay daily highway fee is not reasonable.

Had a wonderful experience renting a car from Carwiz. I got a new SUV, and the staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the process. Pickup and drop-off were very easy. Highly recommend!

Never again...they will charge you extra fee for the motorway which is even above the valid highway fee than the real price, In additiona, be careufull if you have any accident they will cahrge you also full even the damage is only 1/3 and they have full casco and also yearly high way ticket which paid ahead by the company yearly. Incorrect, hidden fees and not prudent customer treatment.

Heel goede service, alles verliep super vlot. Heel vriendelijke medewerkers 😉. En de auto was echt heel comfortabel. We kregen een opel Mokka, heel gemakkelijk om de telefoon te verbinden voor gps en muziek.

Very good experience with Carwiz. It was our first visit to Hungary and I was looking to hire a car with a reasonable money at the airport without the need to commute anywhere to collect it. I contacted Carwiz a couple of times before arriving to the country to make sure I have the right level of information and they replied very quickly. The office is at the airport, easy to find, nice and polite staff offering help. Quick and easy process of sorting out the formalities, everything done digitally with couple of signatures. We received 2025 Citroen, 6k on the clock so I'd say it was a new vehicle, very clean in and out, I think all the vehicles in their fleet are 2024-2025. Cars located 5 min walking distance from the office, we were given the keys and instructions how to get there - easy. If you hire a car, don't forget to mention that you want to pay the tolls if you plan to use motorways. Returning is as easy as collecting, get to the parking, collect the parking ticket from the machine,park the car in one of their designated spots, drop off the keys into the box at the office. Happy with the service I received and can definitely recommend them. Thank you

We rented via Expedia, pickup was smooth, the car was practically new and we had no issues. We drove over 2500 km. In 2 weeks. There was also no problem at drop-off but we gave the car back with no scratches. Additionally we purchased all coverage insurance as we always do. Likely next time we'll book directly with Carwiz and eventually get an even better price.

It was a very pleasant experience, the cars are very new and clean, the employees were very friendly and helpful. They explained everything about my booking conditions and optional extras. They have a free shuttle service from the airport and back. I will choose Carwiz in Budapest in the future!
