I would highly recommend Debra as a tutor she builds an excellent relationship with her students keeping them motivated and interested. Debra tutored my daughter maths for GCSE which massively helped her confidence and she sucessfully passed with Grade 7. Debra is now tutoring my son who is really interested in maths both have said they think Debra is a brilliant teacher explaining things in a way they understand and helped them both achieve their potential. I would highly recommend.

Debra immediately put my daughter at ease during her sessions. She is warm and friendly and has helped my daughter feel more confident about the things she does know, so that she can build on these. She explains things clearly and methodically and has helped my daughter understand topics that she has been stuck on. I would thoroughly recommend her.

Debra supported my daughter in preparation for her GCSE on maths. So pleased we found her. She put my daughter at ease very quickly then started to build her confidence. Her teaching style is very supportive and she focussed on what she could do and reinforced the learning. With her additional support my daughter found there was a lot more she could do and her grade increased quickly. I would highly recommend Debra and chalkboard, I just wish we found her sooner.

Debra has significantly raised my son's confidence in maths. He is far more prepared for his exams, through Debra's stratergies and teaching. Debra is very friendly and always at hand, if their is a problem.

Mrs Debra has helped me so much at GCSE maths. More importantly she's made me feel more confident when doing math which I believe is very important for anyone studying any subject.

Within just a couple of months Debra supported my son with both his maths skills and exam confidence and helped him to jump from a borderline 3 to a solid 4. She supported him with revision techniques and set appropriately challenging homework which give him both the skills and confidence boost he needed. He was guided to many useful online tools too which aided his learning at home. He enjoyed sessions and found Debra super supportive. We would highly recommend Debra for maths tuition. A*

My son had lost all of confidence leading up to his maths GCSE and his predicted grade dropped to 5. Debra started tutoring him and his confidence grew He began to enjoy maths because he understood it better. He ended up with grade 9 and went on to do A level maths!
I believe that this was all down to Debra and her excellent teaching skills. She was patient with him and always gave him encouragement and praise when he did well.
He couldn’t wait to tell Debra his results and wanted to thank her which can only go to prove what a good teacher she is.

Debra tutored my daughter during Y10 and Y11. I can not recommend her highly enough. She is professional, understanding and extremely knowledgable. Debra gets to know her students, assesses their understanding in Maths and works from there. She has extensive knowledge of the Maths curriculum and the various exam bodies and is always up to date with curriculum changes. Her teaching style is to be admired. She constantly motivated, engaged, encouraged and cared.
The progress my daughter Madeleine made was amazing- she went from a grade 4 to achieving a grade 7 in August 2019 for her maths. This was due to the hard work of Debra (& yes of course Madeleine worked hard too). The relationship Debra built with her, coupled with her professionalism was second to none. My daughter was struggling in math, I booked one to one lessons with Debra. It was the best thing I did, not only did my daughters confidence improved she got a pass in her maths. Chalkboard Tuition made an incredible difference to my sons maths capability. He benefited significantly form the one to one tuition which focused on the areas he was struggling with, as a result his confidence grew and grew.
