Tonemaster pro pack

I bought a couple of Tonemaster pro tone packs, clean and a Radiohead one. They were really easy to install. They sound great. It was my first venture into IR's, and Choptones are highly recommended

High Voltage Pack for Tonex

I’m sorry but the High Voltage Pack for Tonex sound bad, I’m not sure if its me or what else. I also tres with other cab but that didnt help much
I have earlier bought some packs for my Mooer and my Mighty Pro and these sounded great

We’re sorry to hear the High Voltage pack did not meet your expectations.

However, the IK Multimedia TONEX captures in this pack are designed to sound exactly as demonstrated in our demos, and they should be used with the original included cab configuration. Replacing the cabs will significantly change the final result and does not reflect the intended tone.

Since you mentioned that our Mooer and Mighty Pro packs sounded great, this suggests the issue is likely related to the current setup rather than the captures themselves.

Don’t waist your money

I just purchased several tone packs from ChopTones, and the experience has been disappointing.

The biggest issue is that the presets are not truly “play-ready” as advertised. Instead of loading up and immediately getting usable tones, I had to spend additional time configuring signal chains, matching cabinets, and dialing things in just to get a basic sound. That level of setup shouldn’t be necessary at this price point.

Even after getting everything connected properly, the tones themselves didn’t meet expectations. Many of the presets sounded underwhelming and required further tweaking to be usable in a real playing.

For a paid product, I expect a plug-and-play experience with tones that are immediately inspiring. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. Between the extra setup time and the lackluster sound quality, I don’t feel the product delivers good value.

I want a refund but the website doesn’t allow it. So don’t throw out your money “Buyer Beware” I’ve found other providers whose presets load correctly, require minimal adjustment, and sound significantly better right out of the box.
Chop Tones Please give me my money back!

First, we were unable to find any support request from you following your purchase. We are always available to assist our customers, and most setup-related issues can be quickly resolved with proper guidance. Leaving a negative review without contacting support does not reflect the actual assistance we provide.

Regarding your concerns, our presets are designed to be “play-ready” once correctly loaded, including the proper assignment of IRs where required. This is a standard requirement across all major platforms and does not depend on our products, but on how each device handles presets and external files.

If IRs are not loaded or assigned exactly as specified in the included Readme, the resulting tone will be significantly different—often perceived as weak or unusable. Based on your description, this is the most likely cause of the issue.

We also want to clarify that all tones featured in our demos and playthroughs are exactly the ones included in the packs, with no post-processing applied. What you hear is what you get—provided the presets are correctly installed.

Additionally, we provide a dedicated Tutorials section covering the loading process for platforms such as Fractal Audio Systems Axe-Fx and others, precisely to help users achieve the intended results without unnecessary trial and error.

As clearly stated in our store policy, we do not offer refunds on digital products. However, this does not mean we leave customers unsupported—on the contrary, we are fully committed to helping you get the expected outcome.

Phenominal Tone Captures

Phenominal tone captures of the Mesa Boogie Mark IV 6L6! I dialed in a tone that I really enjoy within 30 minutes. I tried OwnHammer IRs on the profile I used, but went back to the ChopTone original cabinet, it simply had the sound I wanted to hear. The .pdf detail of amp settings, cabinets, and mics is a great addition to the product. Extremely high value for the price point. I'll be a repeat customer.

The best IRs and Preset of the world!
I've been using Choptones packs (Presets, Amp Pack, IRs) for years and I can honestly say that they are the best of all. Especially, the team always gets updated and they've improved dramatically throughout the years.
I gave a chance to a few others competitors as comparison but there's no point at all.
Choptones is the best!
