The cost per kg removed is fixed as the COâ is removed from the air from one location: Iceland, where our Orca plant is located (and our future plant Mammoth).
âWhy not capture COâ where its concentration is much higher?â you might ask, in short: it does not matter where we capture CO2. The CO2 level in the atmosphere is homogenous across the world (0.04%), since the diffusion and mixing of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere happens very fast.

I hope that over time the price per kg of CO2 sequestration will reduce. At the moment sequestration of CO2 from burnt fuel is similar to the price of the fuel. It's very important for early adopters to jump in and help commercialise this and similar projects.
