motor problem
despite cleaning the pump motor as instructed, it failed to work in less than six months and I had to order a new one.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you've experienced with your pump motor. I'm happy to say that all of our pumps come with a 12-month guarantee, so if you purchased it through us directly, then we'd be happy to offer you a refund.
Alternatively, we can send out a replacement pump under the guarantee so that you'd have spare in case of future issues.

Cat Mate C200
It was easy to order the replacement autofeeder, as the knobs in my 12 YO Cate Mate 20 stopped working. I do like the new one better, as it is improved from the old one - the battery is in a compartment so it doesn't come out (I have tape on my other old one, as the cat pushes it around). The knobs on the new one ARE hard to turn and it doesn't quite keep the same time as the other one (ie if they are both set at 4 hours, this one seems to run a little slower) but I think that might improve with time.

Reliable Shipping, Good Products
Shipping was on time (sent internationally). Received a well packaged product with no damage. Item (stainless steel cat bowl inserts for an autofeeder) exceeded our standards. The autofeeder (also made by Closer Pets) seems like a solid model. It works well and stops our cat from crying for food at 5am. Would buy from again.

Website could be better
Website could be better. It's a bit harder to navigate than it should be. But everything else is great. I found what I needed and received it extremely fast. It does exactly what I need it to do. I do wish you had more plastic trays for the auto feeder instead of just metal ones, but they are fine enough.

So glad you carry replacement part, however this cover's timer is different than original. Having trouble setting it correctly.

They had the exact product piece...
They had the exact product piece I needed for the make/model of the automatic cat feeder I had! The lids I had broke and they had exactly the ones I needed!! It was affordable and arrived within a reasonable amount of time.

The filter element is poorly made
The filter element is poorly made. When you try to rinse it under a water faucet as required prior to use, it completely falls apart.

I couldn't believe how fast my order…
I couldn't believe how fast my order for the filters for my cat's water fountain appeared at my door. Closer Pets deserves five stars for the fountain, as well. My cat loves drinking from it and it is easy to clean--nice and simple.

Cat was scared of it
My cat was so scared of the opening and closing of the sections that she would rarely use it. I tried for three days and she just got more & more scared until she wouldn't touch it at all. And without a voice recorder on it, I had a hard time getting her to know it was open when it was time for a meal. Would have loved the voice option on this. Thank you!

Thank you for the feedback on the C500 Automatic Feeder.
We have several tips to help cats become more comfortable with the automated feeders, such as using their favourite treats. We would recommend leaving the lid of the feeder off and putting a treat in the bowl for them to take, then putting a treat near the feeder with the lid on so they get used to it being there. Once they’re happy to do that, you can then put a treat in the bowl while it is already open/visible for them to take. Finally, time it to open and reveal a treat while you are with the cat so they start to associate the feeder with receiving food.
