The cat door came very quickly and was relatively easy to install.

I really like the product, but on 3 occasions one chamber didn't open. I've been turning the timer dial in a clockwise direction. Maybe I have a lemon?

The Cat Mate is a superb product: it combines excellent performance and ease of use with sleek design.

Prior to discovering Cat Mate, I purchased an automated feeder made by another company. It was clunky, noisy and space-demanding. More importantly, although it cost quite a bit more than the Cat Mate, the quality was terrible: it fed unreliably and failed completely within six months. Customer service from the company was non-existent and the warranty was not honored.

By contrast, the customer service provided by Closer Pets is stellar. A customer service rep responded to a question about a since-eradicated programming glitch within hours and it took only days for the company to replace ice packs that began to leak after two+ years of use, easily honoring the excellent three-year warranty on the Cat Mate. I also appreciate that replacement components are easily available, should there be a need post-warranty. During interactions with the company, the kindness, expertise, efficiency and clear commitment to customer satisfaction of the Closer Pets folks struck me as both memorable and refreshing. Great people, great product, great interactions, all of them rare in these days of quick commerce. I am immensely grateful.

We got the 4000 litre per hour pond pump (449). It seems to work really well on very little electricity - 47 watts. We're astonished. The first pump we got (from another supplier) used 500 watts and worked too fast, so the UV filter didn't have time to kill algae. The second pump (from another supplier) was lower-rated and allowed the UV to work, but died after 6 weeks, because it was really only designed to empty ponds, not to be used long term. After quite a lot of Web research, we found Closer Pets and are delighted with the 449 Pump. Our pond is getting cleaner every day and we're using a fraction of the electricity.

I recommend this seller based on my current manual cat flap & the good customer service from Melanie! I needed to replace part of my existing "Catmate Elite 4-way rotary locking manual cat flap". This flap is not only big enough for large cats, but has been so reliably sturdy & secure for many years that I keep it as it's better than anything else on the market. The cat flap is not longer available unfortunately - although it's the best design I've ever seen with a larger size & a manual 4-way rotary locking mechanism. The rotary lock is much more reliable than newer versions of lock. I, like many others, do not want a mechanism like a microchip or tag operated flap, with the operation via an lcd display etc. They can prove unreliable -& also some cats dislike them due noise they make. Melanie at CloserPets/Catmate was so incredibly helpful & patient going through all the possible options with me until we found a solution. Many thanks!

Ordered replacement parts for the cat fountain on Friday afternoon and received them on Monday. And I didn’t have to pay shipping. Awesome.

I needed a very specific product overnight and this was the only company that had it available. The item came as described at a reasonable price at the promised time.

I really like the Cat Mate automatic feeder. I love how I can buy the stainless steel trays to go in it. It's nice to have multiple on hand, so there is always a clean one. Part of the reason I chose this model is because it is battery operated and I don't have room for a cord.

I needed this type of feeder so that I can give my cat wet food in the morning and then time her dry food for later so she doesn't eat everything all at once. This way she can have extra food while I'm gone at work. I'm thankful to find this product!

Placed an order and got an update saying it was getting prepared to ship and then nothing. No further communications a week later.

I received the Catch Assembly and tried to insert it myself into its place, but would have happier to have had instructions. It was difficult, and very sensitive, but finally with the help pf a friend, we managed to insert it so that the latch was free to move up and down when activated. I noticed that my old catch assembly was working fine too, so I have retained it in case I need it later. It's just not the best technology, as I said, too sensitive, if it's a fraction of a millimetre out of place, it easily gets stuck - which is what happened to my old one.
