Really really useful, feel more experienced for the experience

Really really useful but the tech was letting the teacher down a little. Full of loads of fun ideas and gave us some information so contact them after the event finished

Je suis très très déçu

Je suis très très déçu. J'ai acheter une cricut joy 2 la semaine dernière j'ai passer mon week end de 3 jours a essayer de la faire fonctionner. IMPOSSIBLE de la faire fonctionner avec mon ordinateur windows 11 donc j'ai aussi essayer avec mon telephone portable android et meme avec apple RIEN RIEN ne fonctionne. Je me voyer déjà des projets plein la tête a faire avec ma cricut. Je penser aussi prendre l'abonnement cricut. Maintenant mon projet est de ramener ma cricut au magasin et ne plus entendre parler de cricut.

Underhand subscription tactics

I bought a machine and took on the subscription. I found nothing of use and so cancelled. it seems it was not fully cancelled and they took the subscription payment again after a couple of months with no prior notification.
I contacted customer service and seems this is a regular thing with them...no refund, no common courtesy email reminding you subscription would be restarted. Very underhand.
Never again.

Bought a heat press for making shirts 1…

Bought a heat press for making shirts 1 month ago. Within a month, the item got an error code that will not clear. Contacted Cricut. They asked for a video showing the machine, along with a photo of the receipt and the serial number, which I sent. 2 days later, they asked for a closer pic of the receipt, which I sent. 2 days later, they asked for a better video of the serial number. The serial number is barely visible to the human eye, but I sent the video... again. Called the customer service line. Got zero help. Worst customer service I've seen in years. I wouldn't recommend this company for anything.

Do not bother with this Cricut company

Do not bother with this Cricut company. You can get a better machine somewhere else. Also, the customer care is less than desirable. I purchased a machine and returned it and they keep charging for the subscription. Also, if you ship the merchandise it has to be approved by them and it has to be unopened. Sending the machine back via UPS or Fedex will cost you over $100+ do not be a fool. This is a total rip off.

PC Version wird immer Nutzerunfreundlicher

Ich finde die Bedienung der Cricut Design Space App (MacOS) immer nerviger. Mal davon abgesehen WIEVIELE Klicks (SIEBEN!!!!) ich machen muss um mein EIGENES Bild zum Drucken und schneiden hochzuladen, ist das letzte was ich brauche einen weiteren Klick zu machen weil ich diese dämliche Leiste links wegklicken muss um meinen vollen Arbeitsbereich sehen zu können. Warum kann ich dass in den Einstellungen nicht ausstellen? Warum muss mir diese Ki Suche ZWEIMAL während ich mein selbst gemaltes Bild hochlade, "ähnliches" vorschlagen? Ich will das bitte ausstellen können. Warum muss ich jetzt um einen Aufkleber zu erstellen, erst auf "bearbeiten" gehen um dann ein Offset erstellen zu können? Es hat keinen in der oberen Leiste gestört. Nein, jetzt wird mir wieder Platz vom Arbeitsbereich genommen, weil sich dadurch ein neues Menü öffnet, welches ich bei jedem einzelnen Motiv neu anwählen muss. Das wäre auch gar nicht nötig wenn diese nervigen Vorschläge nicht den Arbeitsbereich zusammendrücken würden und deswegen das Offsetmodul oben verdrängt. Aber dieses kleine niemanden störende Symbol ist mir 100x lieber als ein weiteres Untermenü. Mit jedem Update gibts auch neue Verbindungsprobleme. Meine Maschine ist verbunden und während des unnötig lange dauernden Verbindungsprozess entbindet sie sich wieder und der Lösungsvorschlag ist "Ist Ihr Bluetooth eingeschaltet?" Offensichtlich, die beiden waren ja bereits verbunden?! Klassiker ist auch dieses Hintergrund entfernen Tool. Kann praktisch sein (warum nur in der kostenpflichtigen Version?!!), aber als Beispiel: Ich versuche ein Bild mit einem aquarellfarbenenen Hintergrund (es sind nur so Tropfen) hochzuladen, es ist eine bereits freigestellte PNG ich möchte es genau so haben. Es ist mir aber unmöglich zu nutzen, weil bei diesem Tool die Software die Aquarellfarben immer entfernt, trotz der Einstellung "einzelne Ebene für Drucken dann Schneiden". Ich habe das Abo nicht (nie eine Funktion davon wirklich genutzt) und trotzdem verschwindet es da immer weil ich nur die Option "Anwenden und fortfahren" habe oder "Abbrechen" welche den Upload komplett abbricht. Und im nächsten Schritt ist der Hintergrund weg, warum??!
Hoffentlich werden diese Punkte ins nächste Fehlermeeting aufgenommen. Vielleicht fängt auch irgendwann einer der Entwickler an, die Software selbst zu nutzen.

No support. Lies. No help.

Would give this 0 stars if I could. We paid £500 plus pound on the machine and materials for the rollers to deflate. Call for support and was informed there is no support avaliable in the UK for repairs or how to repair this. We looked into this and you have to rip the machine apart, which would require a professional.

We were first told there is no issue they can report for the wheels/rollers, clearly a lie, as later we found 100s of people have experienced this problem and now come to find they have replaced the wheels to plastic ones, if there was no issue why replace them?

We were also misinformed that we could buy a refurbished machine (apparently its on the customer to puy more money into their business of poorly made products) which is incorrect as this is only sell these in America.

We at last were offered £50, which had to be used on their site... this is the compensation £ 50 towards another £300 machine. We simply couldnt afford this and had to put our business on hold.

Socking with no support or care for their customers. Deffinately reconsider in your in the UK.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CRICUT!

If it were possible to give 0 stars, I would. I purchased a Cricut Maker at the end of 2020. While it initially functioned adequately, I experienced ongoing issues with calibration and the print-then-cut feature from early on.

Shortly after the warranty period expired, the rubber rollers began to fail — an issue that appears to be widely reported by other users. In addition, the machine’s buttons became unreliable. The power button requires multiple attempts to turn the machine on, and none of the other buttons respond at all. Once powered on, the machine cannot be turned off using the button and must be unplugged instead.

At the time, I contacted Cricut and was advised that the machine was out of warranty and no assistance could be provided. Recently, I attempted to use the machine again in the hope that a solution might have emerged, but the issues remain unresolved.

Given the high cost of the product and its limited usability, this has been a very disappointing experience. I will be contacting Australian Consumer Protection regarding this issue.

Great Cricut workshop at Hobbycraft

Great Cricut workshop at Hobbycraft with Chloe!
Got the Explorer 4 for my birthday and haven’t really got into it yet. Had a one to one demonstration with Chloe who showed me how to create a card, mini envelopes, stickers and make a cute little jar. Looking forward to making some more.

Disappointed

I’m very disappointed with this product. The machine and tools are extremely expensive, yet the functionality is surprisingly limited. It handles only very basic cutting — anything more intricate or detailed is simply not achievable.

The software is a major letdown. It’s difficult to use, poorly designed, and far too dependent on an internet connection. Although it’s advertised that you can work offline, in practice this feature is unreliable and severely restricted.

Overall, this has been a costly mistake. For the price, I expected a far more capable and user-friendly system. I would not recommend it.

I own a Cricut Maker

I own a Cricut Maker. I have used it a handful of times since purchasing. Today I went to use it to support my daughter with her school project and the grey rubber on both sides literally split in half. I contacted customer service to explain what had happened. While I was on hold I googled the issue. Turns out there are hundreds of individuals that have had the same issue with the Maker impartiucular. When the customer service agent came back on the phone he informed me that due to the machine no longer being under warranty there was nothing that can be done. He also stated "we can't replace your machine". I expressed I wasn't looking for them to replace my machine, I was looking for them to explain how I can purchase new Cricut rubber and where I can find instructions on how to replace them. He reiterated the same thing he told me and also added Cricut doesn't sell or give replacement parts. I informed him that in researching I can see that many have had the same issue with this model. I explained that I had filled out a card when I first purchased the machine incase there was a recall. By the amount of complaints I have read about this particular model it sounds like a recall for faulty rubber should have been sent out. I was told even though I have only used this model about a handful of times that I would unfortunately have to purchase a new one as mine is not repairable even though its just the rubber that is broken. What this tells me is Cricut is a company that DOESN'T stand behind it's products and DOESN'T support the consumers. This is not a company I would reinvest in. I will not recommend any Cricut products going forward as it is a red flag when companies don't stand behind their products. Very disappointing.

*** followed up again on April 8th as asked in the reply. I was given a similar response. "Thank you for clarifying your situation. At this time, Cricut does not offer replacement rubber pads or internal parts for the Maker series. If the machine is out of warranty, repair options through Cricut are not available, and replacement parts are not sold directly." So my review still stands. Avoid companies that don't stands behind their products.

I went to a drop in session at…

I went to a drop in session at hobbycraft Bolton. Rachel was doing the demo of the explore 5. I'm not very computer literate but I thought Rachel explained everything very well. I purchased the product on the day and within an hour of getting home I had it set up, and had designed and cut what I wanted it to do. Yes I know that there will be a lot of trial and error with other projects but so far so good.

Software doesn't work - machine is a brick

The software doesn't work, so the machine is an extremely expensive paperweight. Staggeringly, altthough they can't spend any money making the software work, they apparently have oodles of budget to shove loads of spammy adverts into it. You can barely navigate without getting nudged towards paying for some subscription or other. I can't believe how much money I spent on something so appallingly bad. I am disgusted with this company.

Great

Love love cricut as a brand. Just attended a drop in at Inverness Hobbycraft with Rob. He is a great demonstrator and takes time to show you how to work design space and talks about the range of products.
