Bentley Bridge Cricut learning session
Attended a Cricut learning session with Hannah this morning at Bentley Bridge, Wolverhampton. Lovely lady who explained everything very well and answered questions with an obvious knowledge. Enjoyed making the Jar the joy and got some tips today on how to remove transfer tape, which I have struggled a little bit with for detailed work. The only reason not a five, the pop-in aspect is not clear on booking, 11.30 start till 3. I think you perhaps just need to run 1.5 hrs session, with different time slots. You can't really have a bunch of people making the same thing in a pop-in session, Hannah would just be repeating herself all the time. Thank you Hannah, enjoyed it. 👍

Cricut Workshop at Hobbycraft Paisley
Review of Workshop at Hobbycraft Paisley (UK)
I have been a Cricut user for many years now & have attended a workshop by Alana previously where I learned how to make stickers. The recent session was a drop-in format which I don’t believe is the best use of the demonstrators time as you have people at different stages of the project rather than progressing together. Alana is an excellent ambassador, very patient, guiding everyone through the stages while explaining the functions of the machines & answering questions at the same time. More workshops please with set times & defined levels of experience.

The Cricut Explore 4 is ideal for simple tasks
For simple tasks the Cricut Explore 4 is a joy to use. I design my artwork in my own software and then upload into Cricut Design Space. Annoyingly it re-sizes the artwork, but I have worked out how to re-size it back by adding squares in diagonal corners. Cutting out is straight forward and efficient, although detaching it from the sticky mat is fiddly. Running it via USB lead on a Windows 11 desktop seems very reliable. Overall, I think the software could be more user friendly, but the Cricut Spring Tour to Hobbycraft was well worth attending as some of the more tricky options were explained one to one by Chloe.
